Its a buggy program

Its a buggy program. Not all food in the app and it even though I scan the bar code it can't locate the food. Problems uploading pictures. Save yourself the pain of using this program. Some good features but not enough to make me want to use it.

We’ve reviewed your account and can see you’ve been active on the platform for around four weeks, working with your coach. We truly appreciate you using Kahunas and want to address your concerns as directly and supportively as possible.
After taking a closer look, it appears the issue with the check-in photo uploads is likely related to how the images are being added on the web version of the platform. When uploading multiple photos, we have tried to make this as easy as possible by allowing you to select multiple photo's to be dragged in all at once, if uploaded one at a time, the most recent image can replace the previous one.
We’ve sent a short video in response to the ticket you raised early hours of this morning that shows how to do this step-by-step. If you'd prefer more hands-on support, we're more than happy to set up a quick 1:1 video call to walk you through the process.
Regarding the issue's you are reporting with food scanning we haven’t been able to locate a ticket or report from you if you could please let us know your ticket number we get this looked into immediately, if you haven't yet raised a ticket please can you do so we’d really appreciate the chance to investigate further and understand what went wrong, insights like these help us improve both our food database and scanning functionality for all users.

Looks & functions like a failed class project

I tried downloading when I started with trainer back in April '25. Not available then (!) for iPhone. The website looks like a half-baked HS class project, is clumsy, does not remember where you left off, requires you to log in several times a day. There is no way to edit prefs (at least for the web) to STOP logging me out. Huge PITA. The actual app seems like it's now available for iPhones, and still looks the same as the browser version. Pure trash. Coincidentally, I tried viewing today's WO and it wanted me to log in, yet AGAIN, and then wanted me to submit to a flurry of terms and conditions. I told my trainer, NO MORE, I am sick of this joke of an interface. She's moved the nutrition and lift info to google docs. Avoid this amateur attempt at an "app", or even a website – it's a complete failure, both aesthetics- and functionality-wise.

UPDATE: Way to go with the typical "blame the user" response. Both the app and website are still sorry excuses for interfaces. I created my own nutrition and exercise list to work exactly how they should... perhaps Kahunas should pay a proper designer instead of pushing out junk and attributing their failures to users. How embarrassing.

Based on your feedback, it sounds like you may have primarily been using the web version of the platform. While it offers full functionality, its layout and experience do differ from our mobile app, which is specifically optimise for iPhone and Android users to provide a smoother, more intuitive experience.
Our Kahunas mobile app has been available on the App Store for several years and is used daily by a wide range of coaches and clients. It could be your coach has their own branded app which can take up to 60 days for development and review within the app stores. We do understand individual experiences can vary, and we’d really appreciate the opportunity to better understand yours and offer any support needed.
The login prompts and Terms and Condition acceptance you mentioned are part of our standard security protocols, to ensure your personal data and everyone else's data is kept safe and secure within our platform. We do appreciate this can occasionally interrupt the user flow, and it’s something we continue to monitor to ensure the right balance between convenience and safety.

Rubbish app

Rubbish app. Steps won't upload from fitbit. I've tried 3 times for help. Can't raise a bug.

Avoid they ignore you app not even up it’s been 60 days and more

App is super basic no communication by the people and they do not follow back up. My app is not even up. It’s been over two months and they have ignored me. My app is not running. I paid a full year. I would avoid and use a better system. The price you pay is not worth it. Having to call my credit card company to get refund as they did not stand behind anything they said they do nor did they communicate and still nothing today

I can see you signed up to Kahunas on March 3rd, 2025. Since then, our team has responded to each of your messages within 24 hours, and even offered to guide you step-by-step on a call to help get your app live. However, there were a few important requirements on your side that needed to be completed before Apple could approve the app, and these remained unfinished, so we were unable to get your app up and running.

I completely understand your frustration, and I’m sorry we fell short of your expectations. A full refund has already been processed and should be with you shortly.

If you decide to come back to Kahunas in the future, we’d be glad to work with you more closely from day one to make sure everything gets off the ground smoothly.
