Kan was friendly and worked well with our kids. He was able to provide suggestions on poses and his friendly character made the session really enjoyable overall for us. Kan was responsive in his emails and we received our photos within a few days. We would love to hire him again in our next Japan trip.

For our first trip to Japan, my partner and I wanted to have a photoshoot to remember the experience. We reached out to Kan because we liked the vibes from previous clients’ photos. He is responsive and we found the whole process very smooth.

@tokyovacationphotographer is a husband and wife team who had been living in Japan for more than a decade. The husband, his name is Kan, whom is the photographer, was from Thailand. The wife, Karens, was from Indonesia. Both were lovely people that made these photo session light hearted, fun and enjoyable.

From communication to execution, it was a smooth sailing. Information provided was detailed. Kan made us comfortable during the session and the entire process was joyful. The results of the photos were up to our expectation.

We booked a couple shoot with Kan and had a wonderful experience.

Prior to the shoot, Kan communicated well with us, letting us know where to meet and tips for the shoot. He was also kind enough to reschedule our photoshoot to a later time due to bad weather forecast.

Kan made us feel comfortable during the shoot. We were afraid that we will be too awkward but that was not an issue as he was clear in directing us for the various poses. The photos turned out really natural and candid, which we both really love.

Had the best experience with Kan!

We are a family of four, with kids of age 7 and 5.

He was patient, he guided us into how we should pose, what he envisioned and gave us a background of the streets so we were also learning a little history of Tokyo!

He took such beautiful night sceneries and pictures of us I couldn't pick out which was my favorite because there were too many. Thankful to have had him as our family photographer!

Kan was so great to work with and made our engagement shoot dreams come true. He knew all the best places and times to get cherry blossoms, and nailed our vibe for the night time shoot. We even went back to the bar he took us to the next night. Having a photoshoot during our vacation really made it memorable for us and he had great tips for the rest of our trip. We'll definitely be seeking him out if and when we make it back to Tokyo again!!

Proposing in a foreign country can be daunting and organizing everything can be a challenge. Kan was a great accomplice for a secret proposal photoshoot.

You can tell he has a lot of experience. Working with him was easy and he gave some great advice. He piqued my interest because he had a very well designed website that explained his approach and philosophy in great detail. I was happy to learn that he was just as open and communicative in person.
During the shoot he also always took the extra step to get the perfect shot and make us look good, eventhough we were still very excited from the proposal and have little experience in front of the camera.
I can definitely recommend him!

Best photo session ever!

We hired Kan as our photographer for our family of 5 in Tokyo this past January 2024.

He was very professional, friendly and accommodating. Kan came to our hotel so we wouldn’t have to travel far with our small kids in the cold. We loved the photos he took and turn around time was very fast.

We highly recommend his services for anyone who is looking for a talented photographer.

We had our family shooting session with Kan last Christmas, which was very much satisfying! The joyful moments were well captured, naturally and beautifully. Kan was warm and pleasant. Even my 3-year-old girl loved to get along with him (she is often not like that and they don’t even speak the same language!) Will definitely book Kan’s session again in near future when visiting Tokyo!

We engaged Kan for a casual family photoshoot during our vacation in Tokyo. It was very easy communicating with him via Whatsapp. On the actual day, we got comfortable with him very quickly and he made the shoot very easy and relaxing for us! My kids had alot of fun! Highly recommended if you're looking for a vacation photographer!

We enjoyed the actual day shooting too. He had great ideas and great with kids as well. The most worrying part for us was whether our toddlers pictures were going to be capture nicely. He worked well with our kids and captured some really precious moments

The only unfortunate thing was that we weren’t able to get to the shinjuku park that day because it was closed for maintenance. It was unexpected but we still managed to make the best use of the day else where.

Pictures were absolutely stunning, and very very quick turn around. He was very flexible and generous (not nitpicky with how and what photos were shared).
