Delighted with Kayak

Very easy to use and hassle free interface. Only issue for me was that although it showed me flights for €183, it added €15 onto the cost of the flights because i hadnt properly set up a profile and I ended up spending €198 on the air carrier site. I know this because out of curiosity i searched the same flights again after 'confirming' my profile, and sure enough the air carrier showed the flights for €183. Soured the experience a little for me knowing i got penalised €15.

Great way to find cheap tickets & flights with a short travel time.
Some tickets were more expensive than statet on KAYAK on the page of the flight company (maybe because of luggage?).
Will recommend this site to friends & family.

I bought the tickets very cheap and was easy to use the website

I downloaded the app. Tried to get into it but it kept cutting out & closing down. I find these apps are designed by people who know themselves what they are doing. They don't take in to consideration that there are people of a certain age & generation who are not naturally familiar with the workings of apps & are therefore unfriendly areas to venture into. Whatever happened to the day when you can just ring up & speak to a human being. I am not happy with the app but I am going to give it one more try. Very frustrating & I am a potential customer Kayak may lose. That's my honest opinion on the app. I uninstalled it as it kept cutting out & closing down. I would appreciate someone from Kayak to actually ring me so I can talk it through. Thank you & take care. Declan Carroll.

I joined Kayak in 2016 when I was planning a trip to Rome. I input my requirements and waited for Kayak to let me know when to book. Unfortunately I never heard from Kayak and I had to make my own decision as to when to bookso you can understand why I have no confidence in Kayak.

Saves time checking all websites and gives the best prices for all routes with the option of setting up price alerts to try get cheaper deals, which is great.

We booked flights from dublin to California through Kayak. A month before our flight we got an email to say flight had been cancelled, which it hadnt. Both flights were still going, with seats available. It seems a schedule change meant no seats, at the price range we had originally booked at were available, so they wouldnt accommodate us. We spent two weeks on the phone and were left with nearly €200 of phone charges trying to argue to get put onto the new flight.
After hours of calls, many tears and very little help from Kayak or the direct airline customer services we were given seats on the flight. If i had booked directly with the airline i would have been given seats with no issue. As I had booked through a third party site the airline said they could do nothing for me, although they did eventually. Kayak said they could do nothing as a change had been implemented by the airline and there were no seats at our booking rates, 4 months earlier, it technically meant our flight was cancelled - even though there were seats available if we wanted to rebook at three times the cost!
As a result i was left in limbo and will never book through a third party again as you have no right.

Advice was to wait for flights and it was totally the opposite

There were a lot of pop ups and it got confusing as to what i was looking at!

Very simple way of monitoring flight prices.
