Paying out for Phisio monthly because of Kaymed Mattress -AVOID

I bought a Kmed mattress and started having issues with it about 6 months into owning it. I contacted them at around 10months and they sent someone to look at it. He said it was fine. I still have this mattress as it cost alot. I'm crippled with it. My husband is also crippled with it. I'm going to go and buy an ikea mattress. At least they honour their guarantee but hopefully I'll never have an issue..
I'm spending more money on phisio's and doctors because of kmed. AVOID this compsny at all costs.

Awful customer service

Purchased a mattress costing nearly £1000 and had to wait for delivery which was okay. Once delivered found out that the mattress was 2” shorter one side than the other. Reported and they sent someone out who declared it was with the 1” allowance. 1”. He’d only taken the smallest measurement, completely ignoring that one side is 2” shorter. Absolutely appalling company. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Do not buy a kaymed mattress

I got a kaymed gel response mattress I contacted them about 6/9 months after getting the mattress as it dips in the middle a came out said it was fine, I contacted them again in Feb this year and got a reply confirming details to contact me that was almost a month ago, no reply. This mattress has a 10 year warranty which they don’t seem to uphold. Their customer service and testing of mattress is questionable, a guy comes out lies on it to test it. I would not recommend kaymed beds to anyone.

Need to replace mattress after 6 months

We received the Kaymed Regulatex Jakarta 3500 mattress in August 2024.
This mattress was £2,129.00....not cheap.
Despite regular turning as advised, the mattress has sagged, leaving permanent large dips which can be seen even when the bed is made with the quilt on top.
We are not large people....12st 7lb and 9st 5lb.
My husband can now no longer sleep in the bed, unless he sleeps on the raised ridge in the middle, because it causes him back pain.
After complaining through the retailer, the company sent someone to the house and then responded with 'no evidence of manufacturing defects found'.
This leaves us with no option but to replace it after 6 months!
In our opinion this mattress is not fit for purpose.
Please avoid

We purchased an Igel mattress…

We purchased an Igel mattress manufactured by Kaymed, costing nearly £1000, from Bensons For Beds, with a supposedly a 10 year guarantee, started to fail after just over 4 years. The top layer of Gel and foam seemed to have detached itself from the main pocket sprung structure, and went inwards on one side and outwards on the opposite side. Took photos and measurements of the fault, sent them to Bensons, but they still wanted to send a technician (Lee) from the Emmiera Group. We were have supposed to have agreed with his report, but were never even shown it, and Emmeria refused to let us see it. Eventually a Bensons employee emailed a copy to us, which confirmed that we were supposed to have agreed to a report which we hadn't seen, blatant lies. The report basically said that the fault was down to us sitting on the mattress as we get in and out of bed, this fault did run almost the entire length off both sides of the mattress. Have emailed Bensons and the mattress manufactures Kaymed. All now ignoring our emails. Maybe the Emmiera Group technicians and Bensons For Beds empoyees can teach how to master the art of levitation so you don't have to sit on it before getting in or out. After seeing the report the technician seemed to be on the side of the retailer more so than the customer. Would never buy anothes Kaymed mattress or anything else from them again.

Bought a Carlow 1800 super king mattress, it was not cheap but it was great at first very comfortable but within 2 years it started to sag and every morning it is extremely uncomfortable on the back and neck. Left messages through the website as there is no phone number, messaged through Facebook no answer either, useless, avoid!

Kaymed Therma Phase Harmonise 2000 mattress

We bought the Kaymed Therma Phase Harmonise 2000 king size mattress some four months ago from the family store of Foster's in Rotherham to replace an expensive if traditional mattress. We purchased the mattress, bed and headboard. I've had a chronic lower back problem for years and we tried just about all the beds in the showroom. I frankly liked the technical aspects of this hybrid sprung mattress with memory foam and a gel to circulate temperature. It is a different sensation to a more traditional mattress. The initial firmness dissolves quickly with body heat and it provides an extremely comfortable, enveloping warmth. Truly comforting. I loved it from the first night. My wife slept quite well the first night but reserved her opinion, until the second night when she slept soundly. Now the reason for my writing this review? Well every morning and through the night I'd experience back ache, sometimes taking half an hour to ease as I prepared for work. I've not had one twinge since moving to the new mattress. Literally not one. The bed just suits my back. Four months in and the mattress is as new looking as when we bought it. For the record, we also bought a Simba continental quilt and Dorma bedding. All worth it for a good night's sleep. I realise there are critical reviews here but this is my experience. A quality product.

Mis-sells their products

Mis-sells their products. Brought mattress through Downtown to be told after 5 years they will contribute £200 to replace the mattress. Have proof that the mattress was coming apart at 4 and a half years but was in the process of moving so couldn’t get to the documents until now. One picture with its timestamp was before the 5 years and the other after. Due to only making the complaint after 5 years they won’t accept the photo evidence. Please don’t buy their products as they don’t last. It states they have a 10 year guarantee but you don’t.

Avoid Kaymed mattress

Quite possibly the worst mattress we have experienced in our 35 years of marriage!
We purchased the Kaymed Therma Phase Harmonise 2000 mattress having been advised by the furniture retail assistant that it would be supportive for a person with lower back pain due to arthritis- it definitely is not.
The mattress was on a slatted base which we were advised was perfect for this type of mattress. I awoke in the early hours of our first night on the mattress. I had literally sunk in to the mattress and I was in absolute agony, my whole body ached. I endured this for three nights as advice is that it takes time to adjust. I have prescription tablets for my arthritis but rarely have the need to take them preferring to control my pain with a healthy lifestyle. On two consecutive nights, my husband and I awoke to find we had rolled together in to the middle of the bed. It’s fair to say that by this time, I was taking regular painkillers. I couldn’t face a fourth night and slept thereafter on our sofa bed.
On one night, my husband woke to visit the bathroom only to find he had sunk in to the mattress and he was surrounded by a ‘wall’ of mattress at the side preventing him from getting out of bed easily - he’s over 6ft so must of been a challenge!
The furniture store where we purchased the mattress sent a representative out who could not find fault. He agreed the slatted base was supportive and not a problem. My argument was that we had bought this mattress in good faith but it was not fit for purpose. The representative contacted Kaymed who didn’t want to know. Their reasoning was that we had tried the mattress in store. Again you cannot compare 10 minutes in a showroom compared to 8 hours on the mattress in your own home.
The representative contacted the owner of the store who agreed to a replacement and I’m pleased to say after revisiting the showroom three times, trying lots of other manufacturers beds then coming home to read reviews BEFORE buying, we have now a Hypnos Origins 8 mattress on order and I have every confidence that this will be right for us.
My advice is do your homework. Visit the showroom, make notes of mattresses that feel comfortable. Sit at home and google reviews. If we had done this in the first place instead of taking the advice of the assistant, we would not of been put through this expensive, very stressful situation.

Kaymed mattress -poor quality

Bought a Kaymed mattress and divan in June 2019. After 12 - 18 mth the springs started to fail. Kaymed has assessed the mattress and agree. Will not give a refund but a replacement. Expensive mattress and not fit for purpose.
