All Bran - no longer!

I’ve been enjoying All Bran for over 60 years. I can’t believe the new recipe- it’s diabolical! I’ve tried to persevere with it but it’s so awful that I won’t buy it again. I’ll try the other versions on sale in the supermarkets. I’ve even messaged Kellogg’s expressing my disappointment but whether they will listen to the opinion of the many and bring back the original-I doubt it.

Horrible texture and disgusting…

Horrible texture and disgusting aftertaste. What were they thinking when they decided to bring this to market?? I’ve eaten all bran for over 30 years but can no longer do so. It’s such a shame that they’ve ruined a product for marginal gains in profit.

Come on Kellogg, you can do better than this?

I hadn’t had Kellogg All Bran for years and decided to get some for a change. The current All Bran is nothing like it used to be years ago and has gone completely down hill. It is crunchy, doesn’t absorb any milk and is tasteless, so much so, I actually thrown the box away in disgust. Kellogg to me has always had a good name for its products, but this cereal is a big let down. I have since tried supermarket own brands which are much better. Why change a good recipe to something so inferior, come on Kellogg, you can do better than this?

New and improved recipe! Who are you kidding?!

Shocked. Been a while since I last had All-bran. Fancied some..Didn't no about the new recipe. To spend money in development and consider that is new and improved!!! Awful. Crunchy, tasteless. Didn't even finish the bowel and certainly won't be finishing the pack.

Very disappointed

I actually went to great lengths to find the old recipe and bought as many boxes as I could to eat before the last best before date. I think this says it all.

I thought it was out of date

It was that bad I had to check it wasn’t out of date and that it was actually Kellog’s and not a cheap own brand version. It’s nothing like All Bran, it might as well be a whole new cereal, the only element that resembles all bran is the brown sticks - in fact I think I’d rather eat sticks!

Had been eating this for years, but not anymore!

Whoever taste tested this and approved needs a new job pronto!

So all in all disgusting and another example of a previously good brand now making bad decisions and fixing what isn’t broken.

Lastly it’s that bad I’m writing a review on Boxing Day!

Adding my voice to the All Bran…

Adding my voice to the All Bran complaints. Why on earth they've changed it to this I can't understand. I stopped buying Special K when they ruined that, now I'll never buy this again either. I hope no one messes with Grape Nuts or I'll never eat cereal again!

New Allbran recipe ...Disgusting move by Kelloggs .

Disgusting move by Kelloggs .. not only have you delivered shrinkflation, you have added tasteflation !! .. without doubt this change is to save money dressed up as "To avoid Food waste" ... who exactly was complaining before ? I have been using Allbran for 30 years and feel my loyalty has been totally betrayed. If something is getting expensive to make, put the prices up and let the customers decide if they want to pay it. Don't hide behind lies and replace with a cheap alternative. I tried the new recipe and it was a pasty chalky disgusting experience. I will never buy it again.

Massive step backwards

Massive step backwards. The bigger cruchier sticks try to dig holes in your gums; it's difficult to get on the spoon and doesn't even taste as nice never mind better!
My advice would be to check fibre and sugar content v oppositoin. I have moved to either Aldi or Waitrose Bran Flakes at a fraction of the cost and improved taste and ease of use

Albran ruined

Albran ruined. They say that the new shredded cardboard saves on waste being thrown away ie the dust left at the end. Well that was the best bit I don't think anyone threw the dust away. There is waste now because I've jut thrown a box full away into cardboard recycling

A massive downgrade

The new 'improved' recipe for All Bran is a fundamental mistake. The new formulation does not absorb milk and stays crunchy and dry. I'm sure that sounds great on paper but that's not what All Bran is. Original All Bran was great at absorbing the milk and becoming soft; that's what people liked about it. One can only assume that changing the fundamental design of All Bran is more financially advantageous for Kellogs.
In a nutshell, it now tastes like undercooked pasta. I won't be buying again until the recipe is changed back.
