Kinetico Water Softeners Reviews 400

So we bought the K5 plus 2 years ago in that time we’ve had to replace cartridges 3 times.
There’s only 2 of us - so this works out 2 £160 every time. Wildly different from any RO unit we’ve had in the past.
Had I known this when ordering there’s no way I’d have bought this system.
They’ve now changed the website to say 9 months to a year for a family of 4 but we find 8 months max for a family of 2.
It will be more cost effective to buy another unit than keep this one.

Staff were very helpful offering sound advice and I was easily able to achieve my aims.

I have found the Kinetico after service appalling, not only do they not seem bothered by you as a customer, they are very unclear about the charges that you may incur. The maintenance "deal" that they offer is not really what it appears to be.
I won't use them again and I would strongly advise others to carefully read all emails and documents for the fine print and details they may or may not tell you over the phone.
The general approach of staff suggests as a business they are struggling.
I would like to be more positive, but this is one of the worst customer experiences I have had for a very long time, and as such wanted to share with others.

my water softener was installed on 2nd may 2024. the technician said it might take a couple of days to kick in. so far it has not kicked in. no technician was available until 6th June. He didn't come due to sickness and the earliest date for another technician is July. totally unsatisfactory. their phone lines are engaged continuously so no contact available.

They were very good about trying to sort out the problem I had with my water softener valve getting stuck.

Lynsey was very helpful to guide us to solve the issue we had with the water softener not functioning properly.

This is terrible customer service and not a good product. Product stopped working after 2 years. Phoned for someone to come out (which we will have pay for).
5 weeks for someone to come out and then told today on the day (which I booked time off from my own work for) it’s been cancelled and now have to wait for ANOTHER 5 weeks. This is incredible. If anyone is thinking of buying a water softener from this company…….think again

I had a water softener fitted around 10 years ago. It cost a fortune. The special tap has snapped and needs replacing. They want a high price for a replacement and can't fit it for a month. The tap is for a very vulnerable old lady and they won't do anything. Disgusting

I inherited a water softener in the flat I am renting and hadn’t got a clue how to look after it. The lovely lady I spoke to answered all my questions about use and maintenance and sent me all the relevant information with kindness and patience

Helpful right through. I made an enquiry about a specific part and was supplied with a part number and told how to order it. When I went through this process I was able to order the part quickly and smoothly. First rate.

I contacted kinetico for advice on an issue I was having after owning my softener for almost three years .the first person I spoke to knew exactly my problem and how to solve it , she then emailed me a document on advice of how to deal with it ongoing . Great customer care .my third product from them going back over twenty years , faultless .
