I am severely allergic to eggs, nuts and dairy and often react to food that claims to be “free from”. However I’ve never reacted to Kirsty’s food, not even slightly, and have been eating it for years.... See more

Lovely meals!

I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease 4 weeks ago, and have been so worried about what to eat especially as a working Mum who some days needs quick meals! I found Kirsty's in the supermarket and have really enjoyed all of their range, and they are low calorie! I haven't had any that I have not liked. I was able to enjoy an apple pie on Mother's Day, and actually preferred the Kirsty's one to my normal one pre diagnosis! I will continue to purchase them on my weekly shop, thank you!

Gluten free and delicious lunch pots

I can’t fault this company. Kirsty’s have teamed up with MyProtein to create some little lunch pots- chilli, Japanese curry, brunch, and firecracker chicken. 1- they’re gluten free. AWESOME. Safe food for me to eat. The pots are low calorie, perfect for popping in my bag and microwaving at work. So happy that they’ve made these lunch pots.

Kirsty's for everyone!

Kirsty's lovely food is clearly labelled, and so delicious that I (GF and DF) and my husband (normal) can eat the same things. I must rave about the glorious carrot cake in particular. It is absolutely light and delicious, either as cake for tea, or for a pudding by heating a slice for 25 seconds in microwave and eating with natural yogurt. Well done Kirsty's, my food doesn't have to taste like cardboard any more.

Absolutely stunning meal, restaurant quality!

Absolutely stunning food! Veg lasagne is restaurant quality, and the joy is that you can actually recognise the vegetables!! Not the usual can of veg soup mix!! Very ethical company too which is joyful! Easy to find in supermarkets, minimal packaging and fits in with my budget! Thank you. Lovelies! You clearly care about your customers, the food, and the planet!

Today i bought kirstys sweet and sour…

Today i bought kirstys sweet and sour chicken with chinese inspired rice. I hadnt found time to eat and i sat down to start my meal at 8pm. I finished at 8.03 pm. Oh dear what an awful experience. The rice was lumpy ,needing pulling apart from itself. The peas were very pale in colour. It tasted bland and almost chewy. One mouthful was enough for this hungry woman. Onto the main part. I played hunt the chicken which then turned into "is it chicken? ". I suppose it must have been bearing in mind it was fowl . It was all tasteless and lacked ...umm let me think..oh i know.It lacked everything!. I can honestly say i would have enjoyed a bowl of faeces better. Yes it was that bad .The picture on the carton is grossly misleading .How can you dare to deceive customers ?? Weeks ago i had a big cancer operation and now im wondering if youve sold me a bowl of the cancer i had cut off as it certainly wasnt palatable in any way. Chinese inspired rice?? Oh yeah..more like cancer inspired rice. Absolutely unbelievable crap.

Truly awful

Truly awful! The smallest piece of chicken and just such a strange and unpleasant taste. Never usually leave reviews but felt I had to for this.

This food should be condemned, not for human consumption

I would not give Kirsty's foods even 1 star!. I am amazed some reviews are 5 star and those that are I would go so far as to say must be false reviews. I tried the lentle lasagne once and found that discusting a few years ago and vowed never to buy again but stupid me bought the Chicken with Ginger & Spring Onion meal with white rice as a quick meal when having no time to cook. I have a lactose allergy and an intollerance to gluten but that food of Kirsty's (if you can call it that) is not for human consumption. It is truly discusting and have felt so strongly about this I have had to write this review straight away. I am sure if this food was properly checked by the food standards agency it would be condemned. Supermarkets, take it off your shelves! If the reviewers giving 5 stars are real, then there is seriosly something wrong with those people and their experience of good or even mediocre food, One of the worst foods I have ever ate in my 65 years. I have learnt my lesson and will never buy again. If I have no time to cook in the future, I will make a salad or sandwich!

Lovely natural food.…

We recently had Kirstys Ginger Chicken & Spring Onion meal and can't temember when we last enjoyed a ' ready meal ' so much, the chicken was so nice and the accompanying sauce with green peppers was lovely, there was no horrible after taste you normally get.
Can't wait to try some other Kirstys food.

Best lasagne.

Having been diagnosed as lactose intolerant 2 years ago, I have found it difficult to find meals that are dairy free but contain meat. I recently discovered Kirsty’s range in Sainsburys and to my delight a dairy free beef lasagne was available!

I have to say it was the most delicious lasagne I’ve ever had! Having not had a lasagne in 2 years (I could make from scratch but with chronic illness I’m not always able to make foods from scratch) it made my night! They are definitely on my weekly shop list and I am looking forward to trying more from the range.
