I am severely allergic to eggs, nuts and dairy and often react to food that claims to be “free from”. However I’ve never reacted to Kirsty’s food, not even slightly, and have been eating it for years.... See more

Simple, healthy gluten & dairy-free ready meals, thoughfully created by Kirsty Henshaw. Since 2009, we’ve been devoted to creating free-from food that is delicious, nutritious and safe. It began when Kirsty's son's severe food allergies made it difficult to find healthy and safe meal options. Today, we’re proud to offer allergy-friendly meals that everyone can enjoy, without compromising on taste or quality. Every meal is carefully created in small batches, at our very own, purpose-built factory in Harrogate. We’re incredibly passionate about what we do, from creating nutritious meals to reducing our environmental impact and supporting local communities.

Vegan’s be warned
Vegan’s be warned. There is a frozen English student pizza available that is half vegan and the rest meat (pepperoni) slices. I cannot fathom why but “hey oh”. Italian in taste it is not.

Chicken tika masala with spicy rice- absolutly disgusting. Spot the chicken ? Rice the colour of soil, horrible and far too much of it. Worst I have ever eaten.
Delicious & thoroughly enjoyed!
First of all I really don’t understand where these negative reviews are coming from? I tried the chicken pasta bake and it was absolutely delicious. It’s also really nice to see how successful Kirsty has become and has done this all for her son. I am very much looking forward to trying more of the range!
I was looking forward to having this
I was looking forward to having this. Gluten free, lactose free cheese. Brilliant.
No, now wish I had never bothered. It was completely and utterly tasteless. Needless to say I won't be buying this again. My packet plant cheese is wonderful compared to this. At least it tastes like cheese.
Awful
I really do not understand why this brand is even on the supermarket shelves. Total mystery to me. I tried this dish and it was bland beyond belief. It’s a total rip off. I could make better dishes myself and now wish I had. Dreadful.
Sweet and sour
The meal was sweet & sour chicken which could have been delicious, but it just wouldn’t come out of the sleeve, when I eventually tore it off I found the sauce had leaked out so made the meal very dry unfortunately. If I do buy it again I will certainly remove the sleeve in Morrisons before I purchase it.
Such Tasty Food
Such Tasty Food. So easy to microwave for a quick lunchbreak meal or even oven cook to eat at home. Lovely packaging and a good price.
Such a variety- very flavorful. Just Yummy. Thank you Kirsty

I have to say I am so glad I tried Kristy’s GF meals. I was a bit unsure at first as they are quite expensive but as they were on offer I thought I’d try them and I’m so pleased I did. The sweet and sour was delicious and since then have tried a few more. I found them all really filling and tasted good. The ingredients are healthy which is a real bonus as well. Thankyou Kirsty for producing these for those of us with Coeliac disease.

I enjoyed the Kirsty's Mac & Cheese with Gluten free crumb, Bargain at only £2 each on offer in Tesco. I have stocked up my freezer to enjoy after work.

Not good Co-op
I honestly don't know why the co-op has decided to change their ready meal brand to this, although it seems like a bigger portion, I found it tasteless, the only way to describe is, rice with a watered down tomato sauce on it and to top it off, two tiny bits of chicken covered by massive bits of green pepper

I love kirstys
I love kirstys. I am GF, LF and Soya free. The food made has offered me so many things I couldn't previously have. Thank you so so much Kirstys! :)

exceptional good food
We are in the process of replacing our kitchen so we had a look out for meals that are easy to prepare. We have no allergies and don’t go out of our way to source gluten free food. The chicken sriracha meal and the sweet and sour chicken dishes are exceptional good. Food of flavour, lovely moist chicken, sweet peppers and the rice is perfect. Follow instructions, we left the dish stand for a minute, and I’m convinced this payed off in the quality. Currently checking out other dishes which are available in a number of UK supermarket outlets, Tesco, Morrisons for example.

We Love Kirstys!
We love Kirstys! Being milk and gluten free is fantastic for people who are intolerant to both. Real life savers! Great quality as well :D

Kirstys meals saved my life!
I found out I had an allergy to soya aswell as other things I was in hospital for 3 weeks nearly died... the hospital kitchen couldn't feed me and were starving me.
My partner and mum found kirstys meals and brought them in for me!
If it wasn't for them my nutritional blood work wouldn't of got better and they were so delicious and beautiful.

I'm always disappointed when I try a meal, the packaging is lovely but the food is tasteless, dry, lacking seasoning and very sparse. I would say it's one of the worst GF ready meals I've had. Just disappointing.

I have to say I'm quite shocked at the negative reviews. I only recently discovered Kirsty's ready meals but have found them to be very tasty and very filling. Great value for money. It's all prepared for you! Seriously you can't please some people. I will continue to buy them, enjoy them and be thankful I discovered them. Thank you 😊

Compare carefully!
I have tried various items across the range and I think this company have 'thought carefully' (as written on their packaging) about high quality ingredients as well as health concerns. I think their products taste fantastic - I suspect many negative reviewers are comparing these healthier options to their usual high fat, high sugar, high salt ready meals! Please be fair in your comparisons, look at the labels!

Why do all Kirsty's ready meals taste so bad?
I don't know how Kirstys has such a stranglehold over Tesco. All the Kirstys products taste dreadful. I've tried them all at some point in the hope there's at least one decent one. At least Sainsburys has some of their own brand gluten free meals which are 1000% times better than Kirsty's but at Tesco other options are limited if any. Tesco really needs to ditch Kirsty. I wish I lived closer to Sainsburys but unfortunately Tesco is my local. How do they manage to make the food taste that bad?

Poor packaging, mediocre food
I bought 'Chicken with Ginger & Spring Onion' as it was on offer. Big mistake not to have read reviews first. The film was a real struggle to remove and, frankly, the meal wasn't worth the effort. Pretty tasteless. I won't buy Kirsty's meals again.
