OK but not exceptional

I have had several pairs from Kit Blake. The best was a pair of Solbiati seersucker Grants, which I like, but to tbh the standard is ok, I wouldn't put it higher. Some I just haven't worn because the material has seemed just not very nice, even a bit cheap. Also there are no options for using a belt just side extenders and braces. Rota Pantaloni RTW offers a superior product I think.

Hi Charles,

Sorry to hear that some of the trousers did not meet your expectations.

You can return any order within 14 days of receiving it if you are not happy with the trousers for any reason.

We would also really appreciate hearing more about your experience, so we will send you an email separately to understand a bit better what did not work for you.

All Kit Blake trousers are made with cloths from mills such as Loro Piana, Fox Brothers, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Spence Bryson, sourced from Italy, the UK and Ireland. That said, we are sorry to hear that some fabrics did not feel right to you and would welcome more specific feedback.

As for the design, all our trousers are made with side-adjusters and brace buttons, which are part of the Kit Blake style.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Nice shapes but inappropriate cloth - bizarrely transparent

My second pair of trousers from them, Aleks double pleat, nice shape. But they have let themselves (and me) down by really poor choice of cloth - their navy wool waffle trousers are way too loose weave, thus highly transparent (you can see shape and colour of your boxers!), plus the half lining is a very light blue that is also visible on your thighs. I have light white thin linen pants that arent as transparent. And annoyingly I had them hemmed before I realised how transparent they were, so they wouldn't take them back. Very disappointing - I thought they would be a repeat source for me, but now I just dont trust their cloths or their website descriptions.

Great service and fantastic trousers

The trousers looked great on the website, but I'm a little sceptical about getting good clothes on the internet, so I went to Richard Gelding in London where you can try them on. The staff there were super friendly and helpful. I really liked the design of the Duke trousers so ordered a pair. They arrived just a couple of days later. They're very well made and I'm excited to start wearing them. All in all, a great experience.

A gem of a company

Beautiful trousers, I ordered two pairs of Aleks one in flannel wool and one fresco wool. Both pairs exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and construction, the silhouette of the cut is perfect.

Customer service is also exceptional they quickly resolved my issue with incorrect sizing (my own fault). And ensured that my replacement pair arrived promptly.

I love my Kit Blake trousers

I love my Kit Blake trousers, my most recent pair was in navy cotton, the fabric is lovely, I have two other pairs and I will be back for more. The fabrics are really high quality, the tailoring is excellent, they look great and best of all they are incredibly comfortable. Forget all those low-rise trousers that sit on you hips and make your shirt hang out, these are proper trousers that come up to your waste and then drape elegantly down to your shoes.

I recently wore my grey cord ones to a friend's birthday party and his millennial daugher complimented me on looking so fashionable!

They seem expensive when you look at the website, but once they arrive and you feel the quality you will appreciate the value.

Don't be ripped off by designer labels

Amazing quality trousers made from sublime materials and cut and sewn masterfully - what's not to love! If you're tired of overpaying for high street or designer garbage, this is the de-facto destination for those with an eye for discerning quality.

Note that these trousers are not inexpensive, but they are built to last - I have a pair of Aleks in VBC 340g that have been with me for 4+ years and get worn an average of 100 times per year, they are just now starting to show slight signs of wear. If that's not good value for money, I don't know what is.

Delon wool flannel brown trousers

I purchased the Delon wool flannel trousers in brown. The trousers are well made and the quality is clear. However, the Delon style is described as a slim leg, but Kit Blake’s definition of “slim” doesn’t quite match expectations. The fit through the thigh is noticeably loose, and the leg feels closer to a standard or even relaxed cut rather than a true slim fit. If you’re after a more tapered silhouette, you’ll likely need to have these altered. Given the need for tailoring and the fit not aligning with the description, I don’t think these are worth the £295 price tag.

Hi Rheeshi,

Thanks for your review, and we're really sorry to hear that you're not happy with the Delon trousers you ordered.

For reference, the Delon is a slim-cut pleated trouser. We wouldn’t describe it as a relaxed fit, as it has a leg opening of around 18.5cm for a size 32, compared to 22.5cm for the Aleks, our widest style. That said, people’s shapes and expectations do vary. Some may find them too slim, while others may find them too wide. We also provide size charts online (https://kitblake.com/pages/size-charts) and a fit video to help give a clearer idea of the style before purchasing.

You're still within the return period, so if you’d like to return them, just let us know and we’ll confirm the details by email.

Thanks again, and we're sorry the trousers didn’t work out for you.

Great fit, beautiful fabrics

I'm a big fan of the Aleks style, I have a few pairs of them now. A great fit for me and beautiful fabric, they're my favourite trousers by far! Baptiste is very helpful on the customer service side.
I'm now thinking of maybe a linen pair for summer.....

Drew from the customer service denied a return after 14d for a trouser. This attitude will only ruin the business reputation and I cannot recommend this brand. No solution has been offered at this stage, and it's sad to have to make the justice busy for a 300£ trouser. In the meantime I can only recommend you to stay away from this brand. You might find more reasonably priced trousers elsewhere.

Hi Alexis

Thanks for leaving the review. For clarity, your return has been accepted and refunded, and see below the dates:

- You placed an order on the 6th May
- You wrote about refund on the 24th May
- We wrote back 26th May saying the order could not be returned if it was outside the 14 day window, and asked you to confirm when was the order actually received
- You wrote back wrote saying that it was received on the 10th May
- Kit Blake then approved the return and provided details for the return

To be entirely clear, returns need to be requested 14 days after the delivery has been received, and we will not deny any return during this return period, as long as trousers have not been altered, worn, and tags have not been removed.

Your refund has also been processed since then. If you have any further questions, do feel free to email us at enquiries@kitblake.com.

Thanks

Newfound Life Long Customer

For full transparency, I am a new customer, and bought my first 4 pairs of Kit Blake’s during the current Spring Collection. And, honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the products that I received.

For context: I work 5-days in an office as a recruiter, and then work additional hours at home. I’ve pursued my passion for men’s tailoring by orienting my in-office attendance around finely tuned business casual outfits. To do so, I wear a lot of mismatched jackets and trousers, trousers and button downs, and trousers and merino wool combinations. I think Kit Blake is ontop of this 2 piece transition in men’s fashion, and offers a curtailed selection for this exact type of profile.

Throughout my trouser adventures, I’ve relied on Pini Parma, Velasca, and Todd Snyder to properly equip me with the materials and diverse selection that I need. All have a lot of top tier options. Compared, however, to Kit Blake, I don’t think their quality comes close. I found in my Kit Blake trousers, the highest quality materials, and best structured trousers for the price on the market. While they are a little pricey, they’re not too much more expensive than any of the previously outlined options, and the tradeoff for quality is truly significant. I have 2 pairs of fresco, tropical wool, and their navy seersucker offering. And they hold up extremely well throughout the day. They’re also breathable, comfortable, and have pretty much sold me on transitioning my entire trouser purchases to Kit Blake moving forward. I mean, you really get what you came for, when you shop here. They’re a trouser specific brand, focused on providing high quality options for my exact needs - I’m not sure it gets much better then that for their price point.

I couldn't recommended this company, enough.

As a U.S consumer, having duties and taxes included in the price is also especially convenient. The only thing I would like to see, is the capability to offer pre-tailored services in conjunction with their offerings. Given the logistical fiasco this requires, I understand why it’s not necessary possible. However, being able to put these bad boys on right out of the box would be even more euphoric.

10/10 recommend. Don’t bother purchasing elsewhere. The more we can help them grow, the more extensive product lines, fits, and materials we’ll get to choose from. Thereby, we all win.

I've ordered 5 pairs in total

I've ordered 5 pairs in total. Did lots of research on classic mens trousers. Quite expensive to the EU after import fees but I'd say worth it! Fabric quality is very nice and the workmanship is faultless. I like the options on different cuts.

Gym guys be aware. You've got to size up quite a lot if you want the loose drape look as they are in the photos. I recommend 1-2 sizes larger than your regular if you really want that classic trouser drape. You can always bring the cut in at a tailor but not so much the opposite. I have problems finding trousers with quite thick legs and arse.

Nice dealing with the customer service as well. I enjoy supporting smaller companies who have passion. Highly recommended!

Thanks for your feedback, and we are really pleased that you are happy with our trousers.

Some customers do indeed need to size up, depending on the body type and the style of trousers. As a rule of thumb, we just recommend sizing up when in between sizes (for instance if you have a 35 waist, we'd recommend trying the 36 before the 34), but we appreciate that some customers prefer sizing up in general for wider fits. Although all our models wear a 32 waist trousers, which is their usual size.

Thanks again for the kind words and support, and do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

Great cut, quality and value for money

I discovered Kit Blake recently and have since ordered several pairs of trousers from them. The cut, craftmanship and quality of the materials is superb. The trousers remain comfortable in all circumstances and exude classic elegance.
It is the kind of thing that is difficult to find in high street establishments nowadays and, wherever it exists (or can be custom made), it costs a lot more.
I should also commend the high standards of customer service from Kit Blake, who have responded to all my correspondence swiftly and to the point.
In all, I am very happy with my purchases and I give Kit Blake my highest recommendation.

Easily the equal of Savile Row!

These are almost certainly the best ready to wear trousers I've ever bought and are equal to (if not better than) any of my made-to-measure trousers from Savile Row.

I've purchased five pairs of trousers from Kit Blake over the last few months - two pairs of Duke single-pleated wool flannel trousers, one pair of Duke single-pleated camel cotton moleskin trousers, one pair of Grant double-pleated wool flannel trousers (all of which I had hemmed with 2 inch turn-ups by a local tailor) plus one pair of New Caine flat-fronted beige cotton corduroy trousers (finished with a half-taped blind hem).

Whereas I'm a 32" in the Duke and Grant styles, both of which have a high rise, I'm a 30" in the New Caine style which have a medium rise.

The quality of the fabric on all five pairs is exquisite and they are all supremely comfortable.

I'm keeping my eye on the Kit Blake website in the hope that some new models will be added over the coming months!

Saville Row's RTW King

I now have two of their trousers and I can say they are the best RTW (ready to wear) trousers you can get on the market. And they come unhemmed so you can get it tailored at your local tailors to fit you perfectly. Worth the cost as its quality matches or is above some Saville Row companies where you have to pay double.
