I ordered wine…you sent wine… obviously I didn’t drink it because it just came…so I have no comment on the wine…hate these stupid questionnaires

How efficient your customer service staff is and your wine selections are great 😃. I am extremely impressed with the Persecco selection.

Laithwaites is a very good club! I developed a collection of 1,000 plus bottles in my cellar through another club. This before moving to the US. I then joined a US based club who were also very good. So I have had quite good experiences. That all said, if I were to do a flat out comparison, I’d give Laithwaites the 5 star gold medal once full consideration is given!

The wine did not arrive at the time indicated by the advance notice. This caused me a scheduling conflict, and the case delivery had to be stopped at the last minute. Since I travel frequently, and trips are planned months in advance, it is CRITICAL to me that when you say "two to three weeks" you stick to that timeframe. My case was scheduled for first delivery attempt Sept. 10-13, and that would be fine. However, when it had not even shipped by Sept. 14, I had to stop it. FedEx will only hold items for 5 days, so that is NOT the right answer when my trip is 7 - 14 days.

Picking wine based on pretty labels is not the way to go. Having a curated purchase based on profile at a good price is a win.

Quality of wine has been in a steady decline. When I tried to cancel, I was told I had to do so by phone. I cannot do so during work hours as I am a teacher. I established several times in writing that no one over 21 was home any longer who could receive the wine (my father used to receive it for us but he has since died) can receive the wine, and that the wine quality had gone down. I declined delivery twice and they charged me over $30 just for the shipping of the wine I said I did not want.

Laithwaites have wonderful and unusual (as in hard to find anywhere else) wine, that is very reasonably priced.

Regarding shipping: they are incredibly fast. If I order on Monday, I usually have the case by Wednesday, and their Unlimited Shipping, is great value for money.

I've bought from them for years, and everything about the company is fantastic, unless you have to contact customer service. And that is why I'm only giving 3 instead of 5 stars. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. I ordered two cases of the same wine but from different vintages, and I needed it to be exactly that because it was for identical twins who always say they are the same, but different.
I was sent two cases of the same vintage. I contacted customer service by email (multiple times over a 2 week period) and by phone. I received no response. NONE. Even if they'd said, "sorry, we're out of the earlier vintage, that's why we sent two of the same", I would have been satisfied. But to not answer....that is unforgivable.
