Great site

Great accommodation, friendly helpful staff and beautiful, clean site. Took our dog and there are lots of trails for walking directly from the site (with or without a dog!). This is a quiet site, there is a pool, a pub and a few other activities/ facilities but we mainly used it as a base. It is well located for days out around the Peak District (also Alton Towers is less than an hours drive if that’s your cup of tea). Only gripe - which some might see as a bonus - was the Wi-fi and 4G signal wasn’t good and with 4 teenagers in tow, that was a challenge.
However, nothing could spoil this site for us. Will definitely be back.

Everything you ask for

An amazing place. We're hoping to go back to Landal Darwin Forest next year. We've just come back from Landal Kielder Waterside and couldn't fault our holiday experience.

Great place to stay

Lodge well equipped and comfortable. Location very good for exploring the area. Food onsite was excellent and a good choice. Really enjoyed visiting the Birds and looking for red squirrels.

We have been coming to piperdam for…

We have been coming to piperdam for about 20 years and always have a great time.

We have seen the park grow and grow with many different lodges being built over these years.

We visit 2 or 3 times a year and will continue to do so as we always have a pleasant, relaxing time.

Lovely location

Lovely location. Staff very helpful and friendly and plenty to do for families in and around the park. The only thing I would say is it would be nice to be able to check in a little earlier than what you are allowed. Would definitely return to this park.

great but;;;;;

this was our third visit here and in the same lodge although we thoroughly enjoyed it we did find some faults this time, it was not as
clean as usual and the remote for the tv in the main bedroom I found
underneath the bedside cabinet, the pans were not very clean and I
used greaseproof paper on them as I didn't want to put my food on them and also I thought they were using different chemicals in the hot

tub as I had sore lips after a couple of days which I had not had before

Lovely park and great place to stay

Lovely park and great place to stay, the lodges are spacious and spotless, with well kept hot tubs on your veranda.
There is a small but lovely pub and restaurant on site so you don't need to travel at night if you don't want to. there are many places to visit here and the scenery is beautiful, it was a lovely relaxing holiday in a part of this country I have not seen, but would go back to, and stay at Sandybrook again. the Staff were brilliant and are so welcoming and helpful.

Wow what a wonderful holiday

Wow what a wonderful holiday great accommodation great venue and excellent staff. We went a family of six adults into a 6 birth lodge with hot tub. There was plenty of room for all six on arrival the lodge was lovely and clean and had all what we needed. The hot tub was used on many occasions which was also very clean and was checked every day for water levels. We also used the onsite restaurant one evening and found this to be a great place to eat, food was wonderful and plentiful couldn't eat desserts to full. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to stay near the peak district to stay at this park.

Beautiful site... Shame about the restaurant

Beautiful site, sparkling accommodation and very relaxing and quiet (except the Little monkeys soft play area where the kids are able to happily blow off steam... A hidden gem as the prices are great and the cakes are yummy!).

Coppice lodge is amazingly featured and geared for pets with a pet shower area, stable type doors and enclosed decking. Comfortable lodge with all the facilities EXCEPT a pizza cutter!!! The restaurant sells pizza for take out meals, Tesco delivered my pizza... But there's no pizza cutter for them!!! Hot tub a welcome resting place to chill.

Kids activities are well priced and the woodland walks are outstanding. Never heard an "I'm bored" once from my 2 kids aged 8 & 6. Swimming pool was clean and spacious, and shop is well stocked if maybe slightly overpriced.

The Forrester's restaurant on site looks lovely and the staff were very good.... But the prices are EXTORTIONATE. £100+ for 2 mediocre adult mains, 2 small kids mains and ice cream (a small ice cream tub with a squirt of cream on top - certainly not £3.50 worth each!!), an adult sweet and a couple of drinks each. Visited once, ordered a Tesco delivery for the rest of the week!. Definitely something which needs looked at, which was obvious from the lack of customers for the whole week.

Overall a great site for a relaxing week, with lots to do both on and off site. Our second time visiting and won't be our last, but definitely be prepared to pay over the odds for mediocre meals, visit some of the great eating places in the nearby villages or arrange your supermarket delivery.

Landal Green Park Kielder

Landal Green Park Kielder was a wonderful experience. The Lodge was clean, warm and full of all the equipment you could wish for.
I used the swimming pool which was warm and the changing rooms clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant was very good and bar a nice place to go to relax. The Birds of Prey Center was very interesting and we enjoyed seeing the birds fly. It is in a beautiful location also very near the Keilder Observatory.

5* site but 3* lodge

The site itself is very nice and the restaurant was lovely. Staff all friendly and nice little shop on site. It’s a very good base for exploring the Peak District and was so quiet and peaceful.
The downside for us was WiFi was awful, they claim because it’s a forest this simply isn’t true we’ve been to more remote areas with much better connection. They just need to have more wireless access points and get rid of the stupid form where you have to enter your name and date of birth because some devices do not allow this.
We stayed in lodge 68 right at the back so lovely location but it’s so dated and wasn’t very clean. For just under £500 for a weekend I expected more and have got more from other pet friendly lodges.
It seems obvious to me that when having pets it would make sense to have wood floors and leather sofas so it can be kept clean! We have a small hypoallergenic cockapoo and so the dog hair that was making us sneeze all weekend as it’s imbedded in that filthy old carpet was not from our dog.
The lodge was well equipped but so dated, they’ve put in a sauna but I’d rather have a clean sofa! The TV was tiny! No welcome pack - bread etc like most lodges offer which was a shame (one pint of milk you had to go collect that day from the shop)
The shower was also very small and no pressure to the water, okay for a couple of days but wouldn’t want longer or if I’d had to wash the dog!
Overall I think value for money was poor and I wouldn’t return until they’ve given the lodges an upgrade.

Beautiful Kielder

We have stayed here in February for the last two years on short 4 night breaks.
The whole area is so relaxing, lodges are clean , well equipped and very welcoming after a long journey with little touches like the lights being on as you walk in and the fire lights on.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful and we look forward to returning again soon.
