We have just returned from an amazing trip arranged by Latin routes, the whole trip was brilliant the drivers, and guides were brilliant giving us details along the way and stopping when we needed to, always on time, and very friendly, we stayed at Arenal with a room facing the volcano adn we were lucky enough after 2 days of rain for the skies to clear and we saw the top of the volcano, we had monkeys in the trees, birds at the feeding station and a family of conti, which are a family like the racoons, but very sweet. we then had a 5hr transfer to manuel Antonio to the Parador Hotel, which is beautiful, the staff were so friendly and the food was very good try the Tapas, best ever!!, Mum & Baby sloth in residence there. Happy hour from 6-7pm a bonus. I would highly recommend Latin Routes if you are thinking of going to Costa Rica, they are a lovely friendly helpful team, we will book with them again soon.

I had a wonderful experience booking the trip of a lifetime to Costa Rica with Latin Routes. Rosy, Seema and Ricardo were so helpful and responsive, answering all my (many!) questions and helping us navigate the extra forms and insurance requirements due to Covid. They were also able to assist with last minute booking amendments and planned everything for us - our transfers, excursions, car seat for our child in all transportation, the hotels and ensured that everything was taken care of. The trips that were arranged for us were incredible, we got to see so much wildlife and the natural hot springs were a dream! I highly recommend booking with Latin Routes if you want the reassurance that all planning is in good hands with a very experienced and professional team. We didn't know if we'd be able to pull a trip like this off during Covid but I'm so glad that Latin Routes made it a reality, memories to treasure forever!

When making a phone enquiry to Latin Routes, it was my very first contact of any kind with the company. I was not at all sure whether they could actually help me (especially at what was very short notice), and I thus had no fixed preconceptions or expectations. As it transpired, I could never have known that this exploratory call would eventually result in one of the very best travel experiences (involving two fascinating countries, Chile & Bolivia) I have been privileged to enjoy. My travel specialist, Caitlin, was outstanding and she could not have done a better job of organising my trip, and fulfilling my wish-list, if this had been a holiday for herself, and/or a member of her own family. I returned home with special memories, and in the knowledge that for any future travel planning to that part of the world, I will look no further than Latin Routes.

Superb organisation from start to finish and great recommendations in terms of how much time to spend in each location. The Galapagos boat they chose was wonderful, literally faultless. Even managed to trim a bit off the expected cost by changing our choice of hotels without any compromise on quality. Highly recommended.

We cannot rate Latin Routes highly enough ! From the minute we met at the Holiday Show at Olympia until the end of our holiday their service and support was excellent . Every detail and change to our itinerary was managed very quickly and efficiently . Our transfers whilst in South America were streamless with very pleasant drivers and comfortable . Our guides on the excursions organised were lovely and very knowledgable and looked after us very well .
All of the hotels chosen by Latin Routes were well positioned and good standard .

The trip that the LatinRoutes team together was excellent!!!!! They provided all the details I needed to prepare and were very responsive with all of my questions. Furthermore, LatinRoutes partnered with a local group in Peru who were beyond amazing. I really appreciated how there was someone to receive me and send me off at every step of the way. Everyone was so friendly. The hotels were perfect as well. And of course the sites were gorgeous.

Latin Routes were perfect in our tailor made package to Costa Rica this Feb 2020. Pick ups and transfers were smooth and on time. Hotel descriptions were honest and accurate. Information on choices of where to stay in Costa Rica were most helpful and informative. lovely touch with holiday wallet and filter water bottles added to a full trust in an efficient and individually helpful service. I used Latin Routes to plan and organise a bespoke 18 day trip to Chile and Easter Island for 2 people. Having just returned from this trip I can now honestly say how pleased and impressed I have been with their service, and also that of their agents in Chile. It was a big deal for us to travel in this way and I was anxious about it. However everything went like a charm and without a hitch, and as the travel and accommodation was all pre-paid we only needed to take spending money for meals etc. We did have to contact the local agent at one point to ask them to change the pick up time for one private transfer, and my request was handled with great efficiency. The agency also spoke to us in advance of our trip to update us on the situation in Chile (recent protests) but our plans were not affected at all and I found it really interesting to be present in the country at this time and hear from locals. The one thing our agent suggested we add to our itinerary, a visit to a local vineyard, turned out to be one of the highlights of the tour, so I'm glad we accepted the suggestion. I'd never visited S. America before this visit and so wanted to put myself in the hands of a travel agency that could organise all the practicalities and take away the uncertainties. It all worked perfectly, and if I were to travel to the region again Latin Routes would be the first agent I'd call.

I have nothing but the upmost praise for Latin Routes. My travel specialist Thomas Martinez designed a bespoke travel package for me - I am a 62 year old woman travelling alone and wanted to visit major places of interest in Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil. Thomas came up with a perfect itinerary arranging all transport (plane, train, coach and car transfers), accommodation in a variety of different types of properties including small boutique hotels in traditional buildings as well as modern hotels all of which were very comfortable and well-serviced. Thomas also booked the tours and trips for the sights I wanted to visit, I was looked after so well throughout the whole trip by the partner companies in each country all of whom went beyond and above to ensure my trip went smoothly and that I was happy and satisfied with my visit. I was especially impressed by the way the company dealt with an unexpected situation whilst I was away which required a complete re-working of my proposed travel plans due to political unrest in Bolivia. On the day before I was due to travel there Latin Routes advised against this anticipating imminent border closure. I was given options regarding alternative plans and having chosen to spend extra time in Argentina all arrangements were made for me including flights, accommodation and additional tours/visits. Seema Kapur (a member of the Latin Routes team in the UK) was in close communication with my son regarding all the changes throughout.
I would strongly recommend Latin Routes for providing expert knowledge, personal attention and care for their customers. It was truly an amazing trip and I am still feeling awed and inspired by my experience

Thoroughly efficient, listened to our every wish and as a result we had a wonderful Diamond Wedding Anniversary holiday in Chile, Argentina and Brazil. We would recommend Latin Routes to anyone wishing to make such a trip.

We just got back from a 3 week trip in Argentina & Chile booked through Latin Routes and the whole experience was outstanding. Our specialist Thomas knew the areas personally, and was able to provide really good advice on places not to miss, and options to consider. He was also very patient as I introduced a lot of changes, and was thoughtful enough to suggest a later internal flight on New Year's Day than the one he had initially reseved for us after he had booked us in for a party. This sort of attention to detail elevated Latin Routes to exceptional in my opinion. All their local partnerships worked like clockwork, and we had a wonderful holiday. I would definitely choose to travel with them again when we explore other countries in South America.

Great Holiday & Great Service from Rosy at Latin Routes

We worked with Rosy to agree our holiday to Chile. She knew the country and was able to recommend a route and accommodation which matched our expectations perfectly. Latin Routes and particularly Rosy are highly recommended!

In October & November 2019 I made my 2nd Latin Routes booked trip when I travelled from Lima into Bolivia & Northern Chile for 5 weeks. Whilst I'd researched extensively to draft a detailed itinerary, Latin Routes' Martin Johnson was able to suggest additional places of interest in the very north of Chile including the ancient Chinchurro culture. Latin Routes booked everything for me with their meticulous attention to detail. Their partners in all areas were exemplary, my guides & drivers among the best I've ever travelled with & I liken it to travelling with friends.
There were so many highlights - every day seemed to bring yet another....eating local indigenous based lunch on Isla del Sol overlooking Lake Titicaca; visiting textile museums, learning to identify the difference between carnivore & herbivore dinosaurs, getting caught up in the enthusiasm of guides explaining ancient cultures, the landscape or how bowler hats became such iconic headwear in Bolivia; staying at the reputedly highest hotel in the world in the Bolivian desert, descending from over 4,500 metres to 2500 in half an hour!, drinking local wine in an oasis vineyard on my birthday.
Nothing is perfect of course!, but the local partners ensured that I was safe once the post Presidential election protests started - this meant I had to skip Potosi & travel down to Uyuni a day early, & all this was handled very smoothly. Additionally an evening star gazing tour was extremely disappointing but coincidentally I learned of another & was able to pass on the details to Rosy Lee.
The memories from this trip will last a long time - I'd long wanted to travel to Bolivia particularly & I was not disappointed .

We have recently returned from 2 weeks in Costa Rica on a trip arranged by Latin Routes. We have travelled extensively around much of the world with several companies and this was the best or one of the best we have experienced. It took us to 5 distinct areas of an amazing country; the hotels were 3star (our choice) but very comfortable with the possible exception of the one in the Cloud Forest which was cold and a bit basic. However the food made up for that. As well as seeing some incredible wildlife, we enjoyed whitewater rafting on a very excited river, ziplining in the cloud forest and kayaking in the mangrove roots near the Pacific ocean.
We would recommend Costa Rica as a holiday destination to anyone who likes wildlife in the wild, exciting activities in a friendly country and who better to travel with than Latin Routes.

We visited Argentina in november 2019. Latin routes put a suberb programme together which gave us a real insight into the varied experiences Argentina has to offer.
We stayed in 4 hotels and they were all excellent both in terms of their quality and their locations.
All the pre-booked tours we went on were excellent with good English speaking guides and all mmeting the schedules include in the itinerary.

When my wife retired in September this year we had planned on that holiday of a lifetime to South America. We approached Latin Routes where Thomas put together an itinerary covering Chile, Argentina and (briefly) Brazil. This covered everything we wanted to do including Glaciers, Estancias, waterfalls, fantastic scenery and classic Latin cities. Everything worked exactly to Thomas's schedule with excellent, well located hotels and excursions with friendly guides.
This was to be our 'once in a lifetime' holiday but, you know, we might be back again next year....

When I first contacted Latin Routes all I knew was that I wanted to go to Patagonia. Thomas, our agent, was amazing, his advice and suggestions were invaluable. Over the several weeks it took to organise the trip, due entirely to me changing my plans to suddenly wanting to include Peru, he remained unruffled and confident. Now we are home and I can only thank him and everyone in the company who helped make it a perfect trip. Every hotel and every trip planned were as good if not better than I expected. There were some amazing things we would not have done if it had not been one of Thomas’ suggestions. I cannot recommend Latin Routes enough.
