It is so very sad what has happened to this lettings agency. They were once independant and were wonderful- I have been using them since 2000 so 27 years in total. They became owned by Leaders and since then is has been a progressive downhill slide. They have withheld funds from me without permission, overcharged me and do not respond to emails. I have lost all trust in them sadly. They also took 2 weeks to tell me my tenant was leaving which has resulted in lost rental fees. There are a few good people trying their best but overall it feels chaotic, understaffed, huge staff turnover and you get billed for everything at every turn. I want to leave and they will not let me move to another agent without kicking out my tenant. It is unbelieable. Such a great shame to see what has happened to a once lovely agency.

Do not use this company, we moved out and thoroughly cleaned the flat but as we didn't use their cleaning company they have issued us a bill for £285, so make sure when you join you take photos of everything, the inside of the cooker, everything which has mark on. Make a log of issues and make sure you save all emails fir maintenance issues, we will never use this company again and hopefully everyone keeps away

I strongly advise anyone considering renting through Leaders to avoid them at all costs. Their No Deposit Option (NDO) is a predatory scheme that is deliberately designed to trick tenants into paying non-refundable fees, only to hit them with false charges at the end of their tenancy.

I paid a monthly fee instead of a deposit believing that it was a fair alternative. However, when I moved out, Leaders:

Tried to charge me £410.40 for cleaning with no real evidence.
Used an inspection that was done four days after I left and a cleaning quote that was obtained over a month later to justify their claim.
Completely ignored my rejection of the charge and forced the case into adjudication without my consent.
Bombarded me with automated warnings from The Depositary, pressuring me to accept their bogus claim.
This is not just a bad experience—it is a structured scam where:

The cleaning company profits from exaggerated claims.
The adjudicators earn fees from disputes tenants never agreed to.
Leaders makes money off tenants who are tricked into thinking the No Deposit Option will protect them.
I have now filed official complaints with The Property Ombudsman and Trading Standards, urging them to investigate this system. If you are considering renting through Leaders, be warned—this is not a deposit alternative, it is a money-making trap.

I recently worked with Amy from Leaders as my estate agent, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Amy was professional, responsive, and always kept me informed. She consistently did what she said she would, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

You cannot expect people enquiring to rent or buy a property to accept this sort of treatment

I need to talk about Joseph McPherson at Leaders (Maintenance). I’ve never met someone quite as fabulous as him at his job!
Understanding, goes above and beyond to provide the best service to his tenants. You have to have a decent sense of humour to work in lettings and he has this by the bucket load.
Thank you for being such a reassuring super star with my recent maintenance needs, I really appreciate it.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Be aware of the fake reviews and avoid at all costs. I rented with Leaders Sevenoaks for 2 years and they are greedy and incompetent in equal measure. We had been reporting problems at the flat for the duration of our tenure, only to then have to pay for the very same issues we’d been reporting throughout our tenure. Some were serious such as leaks in the living room and some others such as mould. Despite the health and safety concerns they did nothing to address those. Always on the side of the landlord. Their customer service is an absolute shambles, especially Kelly Collins.Avoid if you can..

The letting process was relatively straightforward but the property management service is absolutely shocking. We have been dealing with Kelly Collins, and have been waiting over 3 months for a number of issues to be fixed. Even getting a broken toilet seat replaced has still not happened and we reported this 3 months ago. They do not get back to your emails, you have to constantly call up and are given false assurances. I feel sorry for the landlords because they will likely be unaware of how bad the service actually is, which will no doubt result in many tenants handing in their notice. We have taken steps to obtain the landlords details to let them know the situation. Will update review accordingly.

We’ve rented from Leaders in Sevenoaks for 7 years and in the last 3 or so they’ve gone totally downhill. You used to get quick responses for maintenance problems now you don’t get any response and you have to email about 10 times then you might get a response but nothing ever gets fixed anymore, just empty promises of “we’ll send someone round.”.
For about a year and a half I’ve been trying to get my bathroom ceiling fixed and more recently we have needed a bath panel replaced, due to leaking taps. We will be waiting forever if it ever gets done at all.
My neighbour, who also rents from them, is having terrible problems getting any help. They make you feel like you’re worth nothing and they just increase the rent every single year and you get less and less in return. I would absolutely not recommend them for renting!
They always tell us and the neighbours that our landlord doesn’t want to pay for the repairs but surely, as the agent, they are liable to maintain your property?
I’ve even emailed the manager (last year sometime) and have had absolutely no response! It is a terrible company that seems to do absolutely nothing!
