The Walton on thames branch has not been helpful at all throughout our tenancy and their communication is extremely poor.
Apart from this, the property we got had mold in the bathroom, bedroom and living room but they did not care to respond despite of just shifting into the property. It was in such places which can easily go missed when you go for viewing. Just because the property is landlord managed does not mean you leave us to fight for ourselves.
There were multiple issues with the property after that and we did email but no response from Leaders. Letting agents Francesca, Jessica, none of them were helpful when we actually needed help.

To anyone looking to rent, do not go with leaders, they are disgusting.
I rented with these people and now I’m in debt
The bathroom where I was living was full with mould black mould at that, the boiler in the flat was broken and they didn’t care.
If you do rent a property just hope that you don’t get Carolyn Weeden as your property manager, she doesn’t care and she is not empathetic at all.
Stay clear of this company at all cost it will just leave you with a huge bill
They give you a rundown flat only to charge you an arm and a leg when you move out.

I ended my tenancy a month early (due to personal circumstances) with a refund of rent promised as I'd paid 6 months upfront. This was agreed with Leaders and the landlord as long as the flat was re-let, which it was. A month after my tenancy ended and I haven't received my refund. The landlord has happily held onto my rent for Oct-Nov as well as the new tenants'.
Leaders initially told me to wait until mid-December and now wouldn't have done anything had I not complained. Property Manager Marta has just now told me the accounts team don't have the funds and this would need to come from the landlord. I'm furious they made me wait a month before even telling me this.
MOULD. FALSE INFORMATION. Constantly having to chase people.
Before we moved in constantly had to chase the negotiator in Walton on Thames branch that dealt with our tenancy for updates had to call multiple times and email many times to get a simple response. Francesca was the only one that was prompt and quite helpful when I called for updates even though she was not our allocated point of contact.
Their tenancy management department that draft the contracts seemed more interested in going on their annual leave than actually sending us a tenancy agreement for us to sign and to review - felt like we had to be the ones chasing as if they didn’t want to actually move us in or complete this process. Extremely stressful as we didn’t know if we were still able to move into the property and weren’t able to review the terms of agreement before hand was rushed to sign this the same day after having to chase numerous times for a copy of it.
Even once signed we did not get a SIGNED completed agreement until today!! We moved in 24th November and we’re told we would get it Monday 27th November no later. completely incompetent. Again we were given the wrong information and had 0 updates. And have only gotten this 12 days later.
Upon doing the viewings, agreeing the tenancy and moving into the property we were told that the property is managed by leaders not the landlord.
12 DAYS after we have moved in and leaders have allocated us to a leader property manager they have mentioned in a two line email FINALLY sending the tenancy agreement that the property is managed by the landlord without any explanation, apology or acknowledgment that we had agreed to take the property upon the terms that leaders would managed the property. We agreed this for clear reasons as a tenant like mould that needs to be treated in the property. This is a NIGHTMARE.
They haven’t shared any details of how to sort the huge list of maintenance issues with them they haven’t shown any care for any of the issues we have raised and they were clearly aware of for example the front door lock and handle is extremely loose and was mentioned on the viewing by the viewing Assitant and previous tenants. Again not dealt with.
There is mould on the bathroom ceiling and all in the bedroom wardrobe which has effected my breathing as an asthma suffer and my clothes hanging up.
We have water constantly dripping as the shower screen is damaged and this was clearly not checked or acknowledged on the check in or pretenancy check - if there even was one.
Had to chase for us to be able to sign our half of the contract - we did not get a copy of the contact until 12 DAYS after move in.
There is MOULD in our bedroom and en-suite which was present before we moved in no one has addressed this.
We have a second Shower we can’t use as it’s boiling hot and the temperature controls do not work. I have burnt myself trying to adjust this.

My only points to make are that I found the Hub online system a pain to use, could never log into it properly and it felt unsecure at times with confidential information.
Would happily use this branch in the future!
