David is a very good improv teacher. One of the most useful things I’ve learnt from him is to trust the process rather than forcing a clever idea too early. Often the simpler, more committed choice ge... See more

Great classes!
I had a lot of fun at the class I attended. David really knows improv back to front.
Leapday offers a very precious variety…
Leapday offers a very precious variety of improv jams, workshop ans more for every level - a really important addition to London’s improv scene. Recommended for everyone !
Oh and David is an amazing improv coach :)
Brilliant evening with a true master
Brilliant evening with a true master. Highly recommend!
Brilliant company!
David is so great! A very experienced improviser and the workshops are always incredibly welcoming and supportive. Couldn’t recommend more!
Great community, great teacher. I felt valued and safe
I've been to leapday's jams and choir sessions and I always loved them. The community is great, helpful and fun, and every jam has the right mix between new faces and returning improvisers.
I've also had the chance to have David as a teacher and he's really great. He knows how to convey his message with few words, thus allowing the students space to practice and express themselves.
Highly recommend
Thoughtful, gentle, encouraging improv teaching from one of the best!
I had seen David perform many times before attending my first Leap Day class, so I knew he had a wealth of improv knowledge and experience to share. He is also a kind, gentle and encouraging teacher.
At the start of the class David made sure everyone was comfortable and felt welcome and free to play and express themselves.
Everyone in the class had many chances to perform and we were encouraged to dive in and try each exercise, even if we weren't sure what we were doing.
David shared many mind-expanding nuggets of improv wisdom, that I will be thinking about for a long time to come.
The whole process was very smooth, from booking online and receiving all of the information via email to arriving and being shown where to go. Highly recommended!

David's brilliant!
David's a brilliant teacher! I've had the pleasure of his teaching for a series of classes and courses now, as well as ad hoc coaching, and every time I've found him to be an excellent, enthusiastic guide into the world of improv. He creates a friendly, supportive environment within which to learn and experiment, and his side coaching is always constructive -- if you're lucky he'll join in the scenes as well! Would thoroughly recommend for all of your improv needs.
Great workshop - supportive atmosphere
Took one of the workshops run by David. Really great experience. Very kind atmosphere, which is really helpful when putting yourself out there in front of new people.
Fun relaxed improv!
Relaxed, friendly, informative workshop. David is very knowledgeable and has a lovely laid back approach, whilst being super well versed in many improv techniques. Be prepared to learn, laugh in a lovely supportive environment.
Slow and Stupid - A class full of joy.
I've taken part in many of David's classes and every single class has been totally brilliant, fun, intelligent, stupid and sublimely wonderful. If you want to improve your improv, improve your life, improve your playfulness then pick any single class and you will be improved and improv'ed. What I love about his classes is that anyone can take part, with no experience in anything besides breathing. I highly recommend everyone treats themselves to a spa day of playfulness and joy.
Fantastic long-form improv course
Just finished the 8-week long-form improv course with David and it was brilliant. He created a great, no pressure environment for us to learn, experiment and play. He is encouraging and gives great guidance when needed. A great course for beginners and experienced improvisers. Highly recommend.
Loving Leapday classes events and jams
Loving Leapday classes events and jams. A super fun and supportive community led by David!
A Brilliant Improv Team Coaching Experience!!
We had an amazing coaching session with David! He was very organised, thorough with his feedback and really helped us level up our improv. We learnt how to use space to build compelling scenes, identify the game as early as possible, and work together as a team more effectively. One week later, we had our best show so far! Can’t recommend him enough. If you get the chance to book him, do it!
Leapday Jams are a Hoot!
Leapday Jams are a hoot. David is an excellent facilitator and creates a really supportive and fun space just to let go and have some fun. They're great for beginners who are getting a taste and the more experienced who want to get reps in.
Excellent
Excellent! I totally loved the workshop that David ran. He created a warm and friendly environment that was easy to have fun in. I also felt I took away a fresh perspective on improv teachings, which I will use in future performances. Great teacher, great lessons. Definitely recommended!
Wise, Wise, Wise
David recently ran an improv session as part of our townhall and it really set the scene for the day. The session was expertly designed around the theme of ‘collaboration’ and David did a fantastic job of getting everyone engaged, stepping out of their comfort zones and working together in new ways. The exercises were not only fun but really effective in reinforcing team work and adaptability. A brilliant way to start any event and we’ll definitely be working with David for future events.
Fantastic improv workshops, jams and community! Check them out!
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Leapday. I've attended a fair few of their workshops and jams now (Let's Get Weird being the latest - definitely check it out!). Each has been a great learning experience from a couple of different teachers, in a really supportive, friendly environment. Very casual, relaxed atmosphere (with insightful lessons), which I find helps bring out some fun, silly improv performances from everyone involved. Additionally, David fosters a lovely community with social events and opportunities to perform with different leapday attendees at several improv events around London. Whether you're a seasoned improviser or new to this world, I would thoroughly recommend checking out their classes and events!
Leapday Jams are the best
I’ve been to two jams and am planning to go to more (and also some workshops in the future). David is great and very supportive and has managed to create a lovely and welcoming atmosphere that is just plain fun. Absolutely recommend it to everyone.
David’s “Let Get Weird” session was…
David’s “Let Get Weird” session was great fun. He created an environment where we had permission to do bold moves to make scenes unique and away from the every day. He teaches with ease and gives valuable notes and encouragement informed by many years of his own stage experience. He took great delight in all that we were creating which felt really supportive. I look forward to doing more workshops with David and seeing his upcoming show at the Soho Theatre. Thanks for the fun!
