I rented a car through Leasys. Unfortunately after only 3 months someone drove into my car and I had to take it to the mechanic. First they gave me the wrong mechanic and the day of the appointment they rejected me at the garage -and said this happens a lot. One week later I had a new appointment and was able to leave the car there. Today, 10 days later, the mechanic has finished the work BUT Leasys won’t let them release the car to me before in 5 days. They want to send someone to verify the repairs have been done. I never had the option of a replacement car. Meanwhile I’m here 2 hours away from my work, no option to go do groceries or leave my house in general. I’m so dissatisfied with this company and I have a contract of 3 years with them. I do not recommended. Do yourself a favor of using another company or buy your own car.

Leasys UK does not appear to exist, but hope no one falls into Leasys trap. Honestly the worst customer experience I have received from any organisation. You have to call as no emails are answered. Their maintenance contract was completely mis-sold as covering all tyre issues, only to be charged £211 to replace a puncture. I have had issues from day 1 with Leasys, ethically they are questionable with all of their hidden charges and inability to contest them. I have to check my bank account every month to ensure they have not taken unauthorised payments, this has happened on multiple occasions. Disgusting customer service, their agents do not care about their customers and the saga of calling their customer service to be transferred / cut-off is par-for-the-course.

LEASYS UK - I cannot find the uk one on trustpilot so am writing it on here, it appears others have had the same awful experiences.
In short I have come to the end of my contract with leasys. They send a company to inspect the car as if "its just come out of the show room" a 4 year old car with 70,000 on the clock is NEVER going to be in show room condition. This is totally unfair and some kind of entrapment to get money of of people. I have paid to have a mileage of 80,000 - I will receive no money back for doing less miles, the car had a full dealership service history - this was of no interest to leasys or the inspection company (manheim) these services are NOT cheap. They however "as a good will gesture" reduced the fee from £175 to £100. I have no choice but to accept it as they can hide behind some guideline.
- THEN 2 weeks after the car was taken away and after multiple calls to leasys asking them to basically not to take the direct debit for a car I no longer have - they took it anyway, saying It'll take 10 days to be credited back to my account. They were in the wrong so my bank got it back for me the same day.
The saga continues where this evening i am now being charged for them taking off a private plate which is nearly £150. The car was registered with the plate I BOUGHT, there is absolutely no need for them to take this reg number off as the car will be sold in a auction, they want to take the reg off for there own greed and then charge me for them to be able to keep it, sell it and make even more money out of me.
I no longer bother to call leasys directly as the call handlers have zero interest in talking to me about the issues, I get fobbed off to other departments, put on hold for ages or I am told to send emails to people that are never answered.
I am disgusted with how the end of contract has turned out, their lack of customer care, their lack of transparency, their thieving ethos' are sickening and has literally left me really unwell with stress, money anxiety ( as I cannot delete their direct debit as they will then slam me with admin fees as they cannot get the money they want to rob from me) Id like to say that some kind of compassion would come from this review but i highly doubt it.
No wonder these big company are getting richer and richer as they are just stealing for normal people like myself and there excuses for doing so is they can hide behind their contracts/guidelines/cooperate jargon.

I rented a car in Italy that was damaged when I got it. BEFORE I USED IT! I asked to go through it but they could not do it. But Leasys rent/Drivalia garantied that all damages was already registered in the computerized damaged report (did not have space on the paper I got the attandent said). I should not trust the attantant!!!!
When returning the car I got billed for Leasys rent of damages that they said I did. Even worse, they sent a recollection company to get the money from me!!!
I complained about it by email and they first answered but when I thereafter sent proof by pictures, Leasysrent did not retun my email.
THEY SENT AN RECOLLECTION company to get the money!!!!!
The minimum I expect is that they answer the email and check the proof I have, because I know I am right.
Your company is a fraud. I left Europe in October and you still charging my credit card with zero proof of anything. I’m getting a lawyer to see what to do, maybe you think you can play everyone, you messed up with the wrong person.

I rented an electric car from Leasys in Italy. They failed to give me the correct cable to actually charge the car, which resulted in some very stressful moments when the car almost ran out of charge and I had no way of charging it. Months later, Leasys started fraudulently charging my credit card without my authorization! Don't rent from them!!

They decided to come back to me after three months for alleged car damage. I would not trust this company - avoid! I returned the vehicle to Pisa Airport and before the lady even looked at it she said there was damage. Absolutely disgraceful and unprofessional. I originally took the car from Bologna Airport late at night and the guys just gave me the keys and they left me in the Airport Car Park whilst they went home. I didn’t have time to check the vehicle over before they were gone.

Got an extra charge for almost 100€ for a second driver who didn't drive the car, because Leasys wanted the booking name to match the driver name. But it wasn't possible to specify the drivers name when booking (Discovercars).
You need to sign the agreement before inspecting the car. Also it was very difficult to find the car, directions should have been better as there was multiple Airport parking lots - We spend a long time just finding the car.
The car was not in great condition (outside), radio wasn't working etc. But it was fine for us, but despite us being flexible in that regard, Leasys wasn't regarding the above driver/booking issue.
Returning the car worked well and was fast!

BEWARE. They actually steal from you. After making a deposit for the car, as it's mandatory, of around 60€, I paid at destination (Sardinia) around 217€ which was what was agreed upon on reservation. To my surprise, i got an adicional debit of around 60€ after my vacation (I dropped the car with proof of dropping it at the agreed time in the car site. As it was before 7a.m., no one was working at the balcony so I had this option if I wanted to). After submitting several emails with obvious proof since 2021 (YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT, 2021), they told me they charged me because of an extra day (which I didn't stay with the car as I was not in Sardinia anymore) and now it has prescribed. It takes them more than a month to answer each email. They also changed name to DRIVALIA, so beware. Do not do business with these people.

We arrived in Pisa last night at 5.20pm after a flight from London Gatwick . We had booked our car on Wednesday 1 March 2023 and we have our own annual insurance contract. On arrival at Drivalia, we were told that a car was available and we politely rejected the offer of a second driver or their own Supercover. I supplied my credit card for the deposit to be held in case of damage (as always requested when one does not purchase their Supercover) and was told three times that this was rejected and there must be a block or insufficient funds. I rang my bank and they confirmed that this was not the case.) Tesco bank advised me that on 3 occasions, Drivalia had put a hold on the deposit held but immediately rescinded it. Drivalia, however, suggested if I purchased Supercover, there would be no problem …….
There were a few groups of people hanging about the service desk including another British couple who had also booked through you and had been told there was no car for them. Also a Belgian group who were in the same position as us; they had booked some time ago and had their own insurance and were being told their card was not acceptable. They rang their bank and their card had no restrictions either.
We eventually managed , through our broker, to cancel the contract and book another albeit at £300 more.
This seems to me like a deliberate ploy to dump low cost renters in favour of those willing to pay for insurance, extra drivers etc. we were lucky to get another car, the Belgian family were not. What a welcome to Italy.

Prehired car through Rentalcars in the UK. Check in at Florence took an hour with the guy behind the desk filling out interminable paperwork. Although I was expecting only to have to hand over one card for insurance as already paid, I was asked for two. Beware of superinsurnace - they will not tell you how much it is and it was charged at the end of the hire - was as much as the hire itself. Car had not been cleaned and still had last hirer's bottles and waste left in it. Vehicle OK otherwise. Car park very tight and overfull of cars and they are clearly irritating the other car hire companies and returns are parked in other company's slots. Return again took nearly an hour a week later. They then took another payment in Feb 2023 for a random amount - reported as a fraudulent transaction. Use another company as this one cannot be trusted and it's customer service is poor. They do not have enough staff and do not have enough room for the vehicles they hire out at Florence.

My friend and I rented a car in September 2021. Pre-paid, but they still asked for 600 euros in deposit when we picked up the car. STILL to this day have not gotten it back! SCAM SCAM SCAM! They don't answer emails either, I've tried a number of times in the last years. Horrible experience. Also, the aircondition did not work either. I will never rent from them again.
And they keep scamming - claiming to wanting to help on this review, and never answering the emails. Insane.

First we waited more than an hour to get a very dirty car (for 9 persons)we had already ordered from home. After a couple of days the car broke down and we spent half a day getting new ones as we could not get another big one. We were told to take a taxi to go and get the cars ( the company refused to deliver the cars where we were) and was promised to have a refund on the taxi. When it was time to give back the cars in Florence airport there was such a long queue and only one old lady taking care of both receiving cars back and renting out. We had to keave the keys, taxi recite and papers on the cares on the desk in order to reach our flight in time so we didn't get any money back from the taxi. Now the company refuses to pay back the money from the taxi trip as they don't recognise the taxi bill! And after 6 1/2 month we have now received a speeding ticket for the big car dated several days after it broke down and we gave it back! A scamming company with very bad service and manners!

Never allowed me to return the car.
In the contract there is a clause where Leasys should allow you to return the car before the 2 year period if you give a 1 month notice. I did this as it is stated in the contract but after 5 month I am still asking them to send me instructions on where to return the car. They ignore my calls and of course still charge me every month. They steal your money without any remorse. Please do not do renting with Leasys!

I went to Benidorm airport last August and there were no any issues with my car rental. But when I check my credit card now I could see they have taken £15, £20 every month sneakily.

ABSOLUTE FRAUD COMPANY! holiday in italy 6th Sep 22, hired a car, returned full of fuel and undamaged, got a charge to my credit card 2 weeks later for £42.90 out of hours charge! THEN 6 MONTHS LATER they try to charge my credit card again!!! £36.70 reporting fraud, dont go anywhere near them you will regret it, check your statement closely!!!

Do not use Leasys for any car hire. We hired a car in Sardinia in August 2022, paid an 800 euro deposit which has still not been repaid (6 months later).
I have also received a 40 euro "administration" fee from Leasys today which they claim is in connection with a parking ticket (which we paid directly when we were on holiday). They claim this is what they charge for notifying the local police that they are a car hire business. This charge is paid directly to Leasys and is MORE THAN THE PARKING FINE.
Please please please do not use this fraudulent, semi-illegal business for any car hire needs.

Problematic service (nobody at the counter) / We got a car that was not the one we booked and caused us a lot of problems / And most of all, fraudulent practices: the year following our rental, this company took money from my account 4 times, in a totally unjustified way. We had to block our card and report to the police for investigation. A search on google quickly confirms that this company is the subject of numerous complaints for unfair practices.

Service problématique (personne au guichet). Nous avons eu une voiture qui n'était pas celle que nous avions réservée et qui nous a causé beaucoup de problèmes. Et pratiques frauduleuse : l’année suivant notre location, cette société a prélevé à 4 reprises de l’argent sur mon compte, de façon totalement injustifié. Nous avons du bloquer notre carte et faire un signalement à la police pour l’ouverture d’une enquête. Une recherche sur google confirme rapidement que cette société fait l’objet de nombreuses plaintes pour pratiques déloyales.

Be aware of Leasys Italy.
To set the record straight I was not present in Matera, Italy on the 29th of October 2021, and I did not rent the Fiat car with the registration number GD128ZW from your company, Leasys - but they notify Matera Local Police with my data so, on January 6, 2023 I received a fine
I have never rented a car from this company in Italy or any other country. Moreover, it is unclear to me how they obtained my personal data. Such an act violates GDPR regulations, and I intend to report this breach to the Data Protection Authority and Unione Nazionale Consumatori (Consumatori.it).
