Very rude owner Celine. Would never recommend.
They were prompt at coming to quote and Laurence was friendly and polite. That’s where it stopped. We booked to move 28th and they didn’t ask us to pay a deposit. When we rang to ask about something else it transpires they had sold the 28th to someone else. Celine the owner was very rude on the phone and stated we hadn’t exchanged (4weeks+ before move date) so she gave it someone else as it’s her business. Not helpful when trying to tie in a chain to a move date. If a deposit was crucial her team should have got us to pay when I sent the booking form in. Not having much other choice at late notice we proceeded to book for the 30th and paid our deposit. Booking for 2 drop offs as my partner and I were splitting up.
We paid in full 2 days before on time. When we moved last year with Pete Holbrook they were amazing, friendly, efficient and didn’t ask for payment till after the move. Totally different moving experience.
On the day of completion the team arrived in 2 vans. Straight away we said everything wouldn’t for and at time of quote we said we had a full lorry moving over. The team did their best and sorted the problem by thankfully getting a 3rd van. The team of guys were very friendly and helpful. Best part of the day.
We had a stressful house chain that resulted in my partners house not completing till 1655. I had the owner celine call me at 1630 in a very rude fashion to ask why I wasn’t at the house to unpack. I tried explaining thats impossible as completion hasn’t happened. I apparently was incredibly unhelpful and should call my solicitor(this wasn’t even my house). However I had already called my solicitor about 30 times over the course of the day. She made a very stressful day 10x worse. I was then threatened with my partners van going back to Island full as they wouldn’t wait past 5. I’m not sure how I was meant to get the keys!!!!!! This was all news to Laurence and the team who were perfectly happy waiting. I have never been met with such rudeness when it was out of our hands. Apparently there’s a waiting fee for after 1400. Not many chains complete & allow unpacking before 1400 (30th sept last day of stamp duty break!!) so don’t know how that works. I ended up blocking her number as I was left shaking after coming off the call. It transpires the vans were not booking until the 1900 ferry which they met.
I have no idea why an owner of a company needs to be so rude especially when completion times are out of our control.
I would never ever use them again or recommend someone to, so they don’t have to be faced by such rudeness.
Highly recommend!
Lee Atkins Transport provide fantastic service and value for money. We used this company to move our furniture from storage to our new home in Devon. We initially chose them as their quote was exceptionally competitive and we liked their professional and friendly approach.
The team that moved us in were amazing, we had a very large sixties sofa which refused to get into the house! They persevered and after several attempts and trying different ways they got it in much to our relief! If you are looking for a removal company that gives the best quotes and provides a 1st class service from beginning to end then look no further!
Thank you Lee Atkins Transport! Sarah & Darren : )

Good, courteous and professional service from start to finish. Arrived on time, and loaded all our stuff up very quickly. Even included a trip to our storage locker to collect one last item in the quote, which was considerably cheaper than any others we received. On the other side, they were happy to wait for us as our ferry was delayed. They were quick to arrive when we let them know we were ready, and were quick to unload too. Our possessions were handled with care at all times, and were well packed and protected in the lorry. Would highly recommend.
Enormous thankyou to crew and office
could not recommend lee atkins removals highly enough. Thankyou so much for helping us have a stress free move to our lovely new home, the crew were very helpful and friendly and the men moved my furniture with lots of care, the office crew were also very friendly and helped us every step of the way and responded very quickly. What more could you ask for?
Thankyou all so much from Pete and Debbie!

Friendly staff but lacking service
Friendly staff and very helpful in getting the quote sorted quickly, however the service in terms of keeping you in the loop for delivery dates and times was lacking. I had to do a lot of chasing for them to let me know when they would pick up the items and updates on when they would deliver them. They turned up to deliver at 7.30am with no prior warning or even a call to say they were 30 minutes away (as is the norm let my experience with other delivery companies). My items were only a partial load so may not be indicative of there service as a whole, but I have had better experiences with other companies.

I have no doubt that Lee Atkins…
EDIT FOLLOWING THEIR RESPONSE -
They are absolutely fooling themselves if they think that a completely smashed large tv, a destroyed oil painting, a smashed original print, a broken office chair, multiple heavily scratched and marked furniture and missing fittings is anything other than a complete and utter dereliction of duty and their responsibility.
-------------------------------------
I have no doubt that Lee Atkins Transport will be defensive and blame everyone else for their shortcomings, and whilst some people are clearly happy with the experience, we certainly have not been...at all.
On the positive side, the guys who did the removal for us were friendly, helpful and a really good bunch of guys...BUT...they simply weren't given the tools to do the job properly, arriving in a van that was clearly too small and not having enough equipment to keep our items stacked safely.
As a result, we had our main TV smashed, along with an irreplaceable oil painting and a print from our wedding venue. There were multiple other items that were scratched & damaged to a somewhat lesser degree, but we took these on the chin because we're reasonable people.
They will say that it's our fault because we didn't take their insurance, but we already have our own contents insurance, so why pay twice? As this is clearly their fault, why should we claim on our own insurance when it was them to blame?
Not a great experience for us.
lol - how funny their reply is...blaming others for their own inpetitude. Their insurance paid £150 and they offered a paltry £150 extra, which went NOWHERE near the losses we suffered as a result of their negligence. We accepted it under sufferance and a decision to move on with our lives as opposed to wasting time trying to get them to see the error of their ways.
How can, for example, one value an irreplaceable, unique, original oil painting, I wonder?
I think they're suggesting that if you don't take out their insurance, that entitles to treat your goods with contempt??
Anyway, as someone once said, you live and learn...and having moved c10 times over the past 20 years, we've learned never to use these people again.

Shocked about low standards @ Lee Atkins Removal
Lee Atkins Removals first seemed to be the right choice for our move from the Isle of Wight to the Highlands in Scotland. After all, they advertise "international removals" and claim this on their website: "...you can be sure of receiving a personal, professional, stress free & competitively priced service". They are not professional, but were out of their depth with handling their logistics most of the time. For all occurring problems we had to pay extra, upfront! Their big van broke down, we had to pay for the change of plan. They didn't calculate the local conditions in Scotland, so a Scottish company had to step in and help - we had to pay on top.
However, the worst was the obvious neglect our belongings were treated with, which was reflected by damaged items, most likely during uploading and transport due to a complete lack of using the standard amount of blankets (as their Scottish collegues explained to us). Several items are still missing and won't probably never turn up now, despite reporting it straight away and being in contact with them.
Their slogan should actually be: "We can only do the Isle of Wight, want to get it over as soon as possible and don't care about your belongings, nor how much money you spend."
I can not only not recommend this business, but have to warn people to use them.

Fantastic Service
I moved from the mainland to the Isle of Wight and the team made it so easy from talking me through the process, doing a survey by phone and giving me a very competitive quote. I saved nearly £400 compared to a mainland based company and still got a 5 star service.
The removal team turned up an hour early and worked around the dogs, taking care not to let them out.
When we arrived there was a mix up with the solicitors and the estate agents which caused a 2 hour delay. Instead of complaining the team took the whole van back to the depot and left me a number to call when ready.
When we eventually got into the house we found the gas had been capped and they guys helped me sort it out.
The day was so much easier than it could have been and helped a difficult move to be easier than I expected.
Great service
We needed all our ground floor furniture and kitchen white goods removed to storage after flooding. Lee Atkins were friendly, extremely efficient and very careful

Excellent moving company
Excellent moving company, very friendly and helpful staff
Brilliant removals company
My parents booked Lee Atkins removals to move from their property to their new house on the Isle of Wight. The lads arrived the day before and packed all their possessions ready for the moving day. They had Use of the large eighteen ton lorry as well as several smaller ones. Rich and the lads arrived promptly at 8.30am and literally didn’t stop until the last item left the lorry at 7.00pm and they were incredibly courteous and polite even though they were unloading in the teeth of a gale and strong rain. Cannot rate this team highly enough. Absolutely brilliant service. Well done Rich and his team. An absolute credit to your company.
Recommended for a smooth Move
We moved home on a Friday, and the removals went without a hitch, the guys were brilliant, packing all our boxes and furniture, from a three bedroom house which we had lived in for 33years having raised two kids, so a lot of stuff, but this was all packed and ready to go in less than 1,1/2 hours, when we finally got the keys for our new property everything was unloaded in a couple of hours, with all the care and attention you could hope for, thank you guys for making our move as smooth as it could be. Excellent service definitely, highly recommended for a smooth move.
Very professional & friendly service…
Very professional & friendly service for our move to the Island. Great team - worked very efficiently & quick. Good price. Would recommend.
Fantastic service
Fantastic service, quick, efficient and friendly at a good price. We had move from old house, 4 months in storage then move to a new house and every step really easy and efficient. Even when I threw in last minute changes, the whole team stepped up and sorted the problem professionally and effectively. Great service!
Lee Atkins Removals provided a faultless service
Lee Atkins Removals provided a faultless service from the day they came to quote for the work, to the day they moved us. They were always punctual, helpful and knowledgeable, and on the day of the move everything was carried out swiftly and efficiently. We were very happy with the service provided and would definitely recommend Lee Atkins Removals.

Very smooth move
Tommy and George moved us from Dorset to the Isle of Wight. They were very friendly and professional and very quick. The in plumbed my washing machine and dismantled wardrobes. They also built my dining table and plumbed in my washing machine in the new house. Very well organised. A special mention for George, thank you for everything. Both made moving much easier-even if we did have to move over 2 days when it really should have all been done in one as removals only took a couple of hours in each property.
The Move From Hell!
We had a terribly stressful experience with this company a few days ago. The young lads seemed relatively inexperienced and didn’t have the best of attitudes. They arrived at 9am to move us and began traipsing across our cream carpets in their muddy boots. My husband asked them to put some floor coverings down and they obliged. It soon became apparent that the van was not big enough to accommodate our furniture and they had to return to the depot twice to get additional vehicles. To make matters worse they were unable to safely remove our £400 garden arbour and consequently we had to leave it behind ( despite them previously assuring me that they could move it). All this meant that we were late vacating the property (around 2pm) with the new owners’ removal company having been waiting outside since 10.30am. We consequently had to make contact with our agent and Solicitor to explain the delay. Things were no better at the other end, with little care and attention being paid to our furnishings, which were being knocked and bashed about. The lads were generally sullen and made us feel awkward and like they were doing us some kind of favour. To make matters worse absolutely no Covid precautions were in place at all (no masks, no social distancing). A more helpful member of staff did appear at the end of the day and helped get the others organised, but to be honest it was too little, too late. We finally closed the door on them at around 6pm and breathed a huge sigh of relief - that’s 9 hours to move us from Shanklin to Brighstone and a thoroughly unpleasant experience that we never want to repeat. We didn’t complain at the time because we were so unbelievably stressed that we couldn’t face any confrontation. We just wanted to get our stuff in and get them out as soon as possible! Once we started unpacking we found a number of damaged items, which was no surprise given the complete lack of regard the staff had for us and our belongings. All in all we would describe this as the move from hell. We have never experienced anything like this previously. A total lack of professionalism, organisation and customer care. Anyone thinking about using this company should think again!
The response I have received from this business is a joke! They called and did not utter one word of apology until prompted and proceeded to defend themselves and tell us what a great job they did.
I had offered them to come and take a look at the arbour to see how easy it would be to remove, but they didn’t come out. Their proposal on the day was to lift a very heavy item over a 7ft stone wall. We couldn’t take the risk of damage to the wall, which we would no doubt have been liable for.
None of the items we packed were damaged but some of the larger items of furniture (that they told me they would wrap) were.
I was told the staff would wear masks, but no one did.
Sums it up nicely . . .
