It was horrible that two of our dogs had to be pts within the space of six weeks. Both were under different circumstances but each occasion was handled so sensitively and compassionately. I cannot thank them enough for what they enabled us to do, which was to give both our dogs a dignified and respectful departure from this world. They accommodated all of our requests. Everything they organised was calm. Every member of staff plays an important and significant role in the process of dying which allows for a no regret mind set.I was allowed to do for my beloved dogs what unfortunately was not afforded to my husband. Legacy allowed for dignity in dying.

From the initial call to collection of my beautiful Dolly , I was treated so compassionately…I was dreading putting her to sleep , but I can honestly say , Legacy Pets made the procedure almost bearable!…I knew she was in good hands …Claire was delightful and the guy who collected Dolly in the ambulance was so kind and patient..Ebony and the other girls were so kind and considerate too !

What can I say? Without doubt one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. My cat passed on the Thursday, collected same day, and dropped off on Monday. Less that two working days. Extremely passionate and caring. Can tell that people working there genuinely care. Cannot express in words my gratitude towards them. Very competitive price wise. Highly highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic service from enquiry to picking up ashes, every step was carried out with compassion and empathy, the vet that attended our home put us at ease and made the whole terrible ordeal a beautiful one, explaining every step, The collection of our beloved Ivy was again done with care and compassion and with a real interest with who she was in life, then collecting the ashes was again a beautiful closure to the whole process, every person we interacted with felt like a friend, and I felt that they had an investment in our grief. Would 1000% recommend them if you are in the position where you have to say goodbye to your beloved dog.

Respectful and professional service from arranging our beautiful girls home euthanasia which was carried out by Claire the vet, who was compassionate, caring and calm and made our nervous girl at ease. Every stage was explained and space and time given.
The care team arrived later to take our girl into their care and again everything was explained and at our pace. We were kept updated when prints were taken and when our girl was cremated. Jessie was returned to us within 72hours by a caring member of the team along with memoria items we had ordered.
A massive thanks to the whole team for caring for our girl on her final journey.

We had to put our beautiful 18 year old boy Staffie Buster to sleep on Friday 24/10/25 a very sad and very difficult day for us all. Everybody from Legacy including the vet and all the staff's kindness, compassion, and professionalism the way they dealt with us and Buster words cannot express our gratitude. We really appreciate the respectful and dignified manner in which Buster was handled, from euthanasia and collection to cremation and return we cannot thank them enough such caring and compassionate people we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Chris and Julie xxx

Legacy Pets is a compassionate and very professional service. From the collection of our beautiful cat Susie from the vets and ringing us to confirmed she had arrived at Legacy and that they would call us when she was
ready to come home to all the kind words from the staff. Sean rang me to let me know
when he was on the way with Susie and when he gave her back he was very kind and caring.

The beautiful bespoke bamboo set which contains his ashes and his paw and nose prints are simply beautiful. I'd recommend Legacy Pets to anyone who's sadly lost what essentially is a family member.

We lost our beautiful Millie and our vet came to put her to sleep at home. From the moment we phoned Legacy Pet Cremation they were kind and caring to us all. Justin picked Millie up and was gentle and kind to Millie and us. He promised to ring us when he arrived at Legacy which he did and promised to look after Millie. Our son picked milliecup and the staff again were very caring. Millie came home with a card from Legacy, candle, forget me not seeds and her hair and certificate of cremation. Just beautiful. Thank you so much Legacy Pet Cremation. You made this very sad journey a little bit better for us.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Legacy Pets, I truly will forever be thankful and grateful for their compassion and support throughout the whole process. An incredible company in all honesty I cannot recommend their services enough.

This week, I sadly lost my childhood best friend of 16 years , My Daisy. She was the most beautiful kind hearted soul and it broke all of our hearts to have to let her go. Unfortunately, we were given a very short timeframe from the vets due to an infected, burst tumour. It was a huge shock to us all and we were racing against the clock to give her a peaceful end due to risk of sepsis. Legacy Pets was extremely kind and accommodating and managed to fit us in on the very short notice we had and make adjustments where necessary.

Their service on every interaction , in person or over the phone was outstanding. They truly made a difficult and heartbreaking experience feel that little bit lighter and easier.

I will never truly be able to express how grateful I am that you took care of my baby girl from the very moment you met her to the moment you returned her back to me, you gave my bestfriend a peaceful end to a long life, she was not in pain and you had the upmost respect and dignity towards her.

Cannot praise the company and staff enough from ian who pick our Coco up to the staff on the phone and the lady at the shop in bury.care and sympathy shown throughout we've used other companies in the past but none of them come close to legacy pets. Thank you to all for looking after Coco.

We also want to thank the lovely ladies we spoke to on the phone, who were always so patient and understanding, and to Justin, who went out of his way to bring Cookie’s ashes back to us on a Sunday. That small act of kindness meant the world to us.

The staff at the Legacy Pets shop in Bury town centre were also incredibly thoughtful and compassionate, and every single one of you helped us feel supported and understood when we needed it most.

Losing Cookie has left such a huge hole in our lives. She wasn’t just a pet — she was our loyal companion, our comfort, and our very special friend. We will never truly get over losing her, but we will carry her love and memories with us forever.

We lost our beautiful little Westie, Millie, a couple of weeks ago.
Legacy Pets picked her up from the vets, contacted us to let us know she was in their care, which was really important to us, and got her ashes, paw prints and fur clippings back to us within 48 hours.
Everything was hand delivered back to our home in a beautiful bag with extra ashes, a candle and a card with forget-me -not seeds which was particularly touching for a little dog that loved to dig the garden up.
The staff have all been lovely and the lady that brought her back to us was so kind.

We have sadly needed the support of Legacy Pets on several occasions. The first was in June last year, when my parents’ dog Diesel passed away. From the very beginning, Legacy Pets showed the utmost professionalism, empathy, and care.

On 30 June this year, we lost our beloved boy George, whose kidneys were failing. We were told the kindest decision was to let him go. We arranged a peaceful euthanasia at home and entrusted Legacy Pets with his final journey over the Rainbow Bridge. George was 17 years old.

Just six weeks later, on 14 August, our beautiful girl Kels suddenly became ill. The vets discovered an untreatable bladder tumour, leaving her unable to pass urine. We were devastated, still grieving George, when we learned that the only compassionate choice was to let her go. Once again, Legacy Pets supported us, arranging a home euthanasia so Kels could be surrounded by her family, just as George had been. Kels was also 17. After 17 years together, they are now reunited for eternity.

We entrusted Kels to Legacy Pets for cremation, as we had done with George. The care, compassion, and dignity shown throughout these painful times have meant so much to us. Losing them has left enormous holes in our hearts, but your kindness made their final journeys gentler for them and for us.

We truly cannot thank you enough for your professionalism and empathy. Though we hope not to need your services again for many years, we are deeply grateful for the care you have given to our much-loved companions.

From start to finish everyone has been amazing, from picking Gizmo up from the vets within an hour of me contacting Legacy, to when we got his ashes. The forget me not seeds , candle and card are all such a lovely touch. I can't express how amazing Legacy are, and all the staff who are so caring and understanding ... I would never consider anywhere different, if only it could be like this for humans! Chose at home euthanasia for my dog as she was always nervous at the vets and I didn’t want her last moments to be that way. From speaking to Hannah on the phone initially I was put at ease. It was an upsetting time but John the vet was so calm and explained everything, to know her last moments were relaxed on my chest and not scared in a vets meant everything. I kept her for an hour before she was collected and everything was as perfect as it could be. Thank you so much for taking care of Phoebe I will always be grateful 💕
