I appreciated the fact that this site exists. I was a bit disappointed due to the fact that I entered “free legal help” when I started the search and I had completed the questionnaire when it gave me the message it did once I checked that I was unable to pay. For some older Americans trying to navigate the internet, this can be a bit off-putting. I am glad that I did receive a response from an attorney that responded to me based on the site.

Thankfully I did not require legal services. But I will hold on to your contact information just in case.

My brother hired Mr. Finkelstein in September 2025 to handle the probate of our mother's estate. The most important aspect was securing his appointment as executor, in accordance with my mother's living will. There were no objections from the beneficiaries to his appointment. After signing a Letter of Engagement and paying $4,000 upfront via Zelle, there has been no meaningful progress eight months later. He has not been appointed executor, and he hasn't received clear confirmation that the probate case has even been filed. Communication has been inconsistent at best; responses are often vague and followed by delays or excuses, with little to no follow-through. I understand that probate can take time, but the lack of transparency and progress over this period is concerning. At a minimum, we expected timely updates, clear explanations, and evidence that the process was moving forward. My brother only given more excuses for the delay. Additionally, he continuously ask the same questions (i.e. what is my brothers email yet he's had it for eight months now) and didn't even know the inventory or how many beneficiaries which was provided by back in September of 2025. There has been NO action since October 24, 2025. By the way, I made a previous review for Mr. Finkelstein to response that he didn't represent me but represented my opponent. There is no opponent on top my brother gave him authority to speak with us to maybe help move along but only to have Dr. Finkelstein to elect to not speak with the beneficiaries anymore which is his legal right. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND ETHICS

Matched me with the most unprofessional lawyer.he just stopped responding and now only have days left to court and don’t know if he’s going to be my lawyer or not

The lawyer was emphatically tuned in, addressing my concerns. I truly regret not having the funds to obtain him.
Attorney Jarrett E Levine was spoken highly by other attorneys I contacted.

SCAMMERS!!!
I needed a lawyer badly and thought I would try this service. They said they needed $2. To set up an account now they have charged me $95. And they are trying to do it again! When I call the number I get a recording. They have never given me anything but grief no legal advice no legal help nothing but headaches when I am already going thru a rough time duh that’s why I need a lawyer. Stay as far as you can away from these people! Unless you want to give your cc info to a bunch of crooks. They should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of ppl who are already in bad situation. No wonder why ppl don’t like lawyers! Their responses to many reviews is … We do not get involved in the agreements between attorneys and clients or the actual representation of clients. The User, and not LegalMatch, is solely responsible for assessing the integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness of all persons with whom the User communicates on the Service.
We review each attorney before they join LegalMatch, and do not allow membership to anyone who has an open complaint with their state bar association. If a lawyer fails you, please know that you have the right to file a complaint against them with the bar.
So in other words yes we might refer you to crooks but sorry that’s your problem not ours. WOW

The lawyers were not attentive to details. They just wrote a response to a headline without actually looking at the facts. I sent files and asked for a paid consultation and the files I sent to the lawyer were not even read beforehand, so I had to go through the whole case and watch while he read the files. And for a supposed litigator, he took great pains and a LOT of my time to explain that I had a horrible case. That in itself is fine because one does not want to litigate if you have a bad case. What I cant accept is that it took him so long to come to that conclusion becuase he had not read the files I sent him. And in the end he droned on about Texas court history and wasted my time on my dime. The other 4 lawyers had no idea or relevant experience about the area of law my case involved. Sad, and a waste of my money.

Iegal match contacted me on issue that has no statute of limitation .
I asked them for referall for Civil Rights lawyer a Samantha out in Nevada said one would email me for intake and update my issues never got the email .
I called back she said they dont do civil Rights claims and that the intake need 25,000 up front to file an appeal which was a civil rights violation case she clearly noted my notes of politicle influence.
they knew a former president was a defendant

I used legal match, trusting that they would help me find an attorney. I got two referrals. The first attorney spammed me with their accomplishments. And then told me they couldn’t help me before I even got a consultation. And the second attorney had terrible reviews. And wanted to charge me $300 for a consultation fee fee. So I did the work myself and it was pretty easy to find attorneys that have better ratings, no consultation fees, and my inbox isn’t getting spammed.

Only used once in February of 2025. Did not realize this was a subscription that I did not want. No notification of being automatically charged in 2026. I have requested to cancel my account and a refund. There is not a phone number for customer service nor does the website allow you to cancel. Very strange and not on the up and up.

LegalMatch charges for "recurring quarterly Subscription", although I never signed up for one. They did it 3x over the course of a year, I had to change my credit card # to get away from these thieves. LegalMatch ignores any requests by email or phone.

You’ll spend time dumping everything you know about one of the most traumatizing experiences of your life (if you’re in my shoes).
A handful of privileged silver spoon early career attorneys will reach out seeking to extract dollars from you. I listed I am not looking to throw hundreds at an attorney before I know how they can help me specifically, but the ones who reached out to me were trying to force me to schedule $150-600 initial consultations. If you don’t have hundreds of dollars to throw at an initial consultation with one of these greedy silver spoon assholes, they won’t help. It’s sad the majority of people who have the privilege in life to become attorneys only use their skills to extract & enrich, not to help and hold accountable. My case is very strong, they just don’t care about anyone but themselves. F* LegalMatch, don’t waste your time on the bad, greedy attorneys that will reach out to you through there.

UPDATE: LegalMatch communicated with me briefly on LinkedIn, but when I persisted in asking them to fulfill their Satisfaction Guarantee and take the steps as outlined in their own Guarantee, they stopped messaging me. They only exist for the lawyers. They are as much as a scam as the lawyer I hired through their service.
ORIGINAL POST
When a lawyer I found via LegalMatch started scamming me, LegalMatch refused to honour their Satisfaction Guarantee (this review won't allow me to include the direct link to it, but it exists as of 2026, Jan 12).
It was almost impossible to find a way to contact customer service, but even when I did, nobody replied to my emails. I finally had to message them on LinkedIn, where they then stated that it's not their job to oversee individual lawyers.I wasn't asking them to oversee my scammy lawyer. I was asking for them to fulfill the promise they made to people who use their service
