Very disappointing

The hotel is VERY expensive. We stayed in the Ninjago room and had high expectations due to cost. The hotel room was not clean; rubbish left from earlier guest and very dusty. The whole hotel needs a good clean and fresh paint. Very disappointed. Food and drinks were very expensive. Will not return.

Booked me in for adventure golf when it was closed. Nearly two weeks no refund. Dinner £35 for one adult: food Luke warm and overcooked. No decent coffee machine unless you pay £4.50 extra per cup. Some unhelpful staff - no coffee, even at £4.50, after 8.10 even though open until 9.

Bed bugs

We stayed at Legoland Hotel on Wednesday 30th July 2025. We found bed bugs in their beds and were bitten by these. This was reported to the hotel management and their response was offensive suggesting that we were the source of the bed bugs. They failed to accept an infestation of bed bugs at their premises as this would be bad for business but laid the blame on their guests rather than be honest and take steps to eradicate the problem.

We spent a lot of money to visit Legoland and stay at their hotel. The least we expected was a clean and hygienic environment that was safe for our health. They failed to provide this and then blamed their guests for their failings by deflecting their responsibility.

Additionally, we were woken by a fire alarm at 7.30 a.m. (my daughter was shaken by this incident) and we had to stand outside in the rain with our young daughter. We also purchased the buffet dinner, and the food was disappointing and absolutely tasteless. The saviour was the selection of salads and the morning breakfast.

A quick Google search revealed reports of issues with bed bugs at their resorts, including one in the Daily Mail in 2017. There are also several other reviews by guests reporting the same issue as recently as 2023. We just wish we had seen these reviews before making our booking.

Overall, the positive experiences were that our daughter enjoyed the rides and some staff were helpful.

Extremely disappointed with everything…

Extremely disappointed with everything except the staff. The room was in need of a coat of paint grouting. Way overpriced for what you get which is very basic. The food was nasty £25 for a 3 course meal or £20 for 2. We had to send the food back Lamb Korma was cold and not a Korma. The curry was bitter were it had not been cooked properly. My Granddaughter had Pasta in tomato sauce which was not the best. Hot chocolate disgusting to be told the machine was broken so that was that. Breakfast Wow didn't think it could get worse but it did. Mushrooms cold toast cold sent back to be returned in exactly the same condition. Sausages cooked on one side raw on the other. Cold eggs. Just couldn't eat it. What amazed me was the fact that most of the guests were leaving there food but no-one else complained. Legoland brilliant hotel big fat 0.The swimming pool was another issue. No lockers to put clothes in. Showers not working properly and to close together. The pool was looking like it needed revamping as well. Faeces stuck on the side of the toilet, smelt awful had to get someone to clean it. Big fat 0 for that as well.

We haven't even begun our stay at the Hotel yet and already I have had a negative experience! I called the Hotel to ask if I could pay to upgrade my kids lego gift to the premium gift pack and was told no. Very disappointing indeed for someone trying to give their children a magical weekend :-(

Magical weekend, fantastic value

Stayed for a two night Ninjago special weekend with my nearly five year old boy. Really magical hotel; starting with the fire breathing dragon and amazing reception, truly amazing room with a treasure hunt to unlock a generous Lego goody bag and a carpet whoopie cushion amongst many other surprises. Fab restaurant with great Lego sculptures / characters; and the food quality was really good. Skyline bar and play area was great fun for kids and adults. Great to be able to go on a few rides with absolutely no queues. The staff were really friendly and worked so hard. I could not afford to stay in peak season but I cannot recommend the out of season packages enough. Only minor suggestion would be to have more lunchtime staff in the Skyline bar as this was the only place open to eat and there was a wait to order and then get your meal; the staff were rushing around and worked their socks off to keep people happy.
