Poor service. Avoid
After being told they deal in caravans we travelled for 2 hours to look at purchasing a touring caravan. Having searched the various sales areas we approached a salesman who we had heard boasting that " he was the youngest and BEST " salesman in the company.
We asked where are the new caravans and he told us they dont have any!! Even though they state they deal in caravans!
I mentioned that we had travelled a distance and mentioned that it says they deal in vans. His response was a stupid grin and he pointed to 1 used touring van as he said "we do sell vans"
He had such a stupid smug look on his face and seemed to enjoy the fact that we were disappointed.
With this sort of attitude and carefree smug response I would not dream of visiting this place again.
After chatting to the previous couple who spoke to him, they had the same opinion.
Avoid this place, we have since been elsewhere and purchased a new van with far better customer service.

Warranty work
Our motorhome was in for warranty work the whole process has been handled very promptly and professionally and the repairs completed to a high standard.

Bought motorhome in North West, and then warrenty work needed. Great to have Leisure World, Catterick agree to take on this work as I live in North Yorkshire. Able to book in at convenient time, appointment confirmed a few days before. All done on time. Informative and friendly staff.

Gets better each visit…
Our 4th visit since buying our new van and each time we come we see more and more improvements. We had breakfast in the cafe whilst we waited for a few jobs to be done on our van and it was very good value and absolutely superb. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, particularly on the service desk. The technician who worked on our van kept us fully informed of progress and did a great job. It’s clear that a significant amount of money has been invested in the business and the shop in particular is incredibly well stocked and competitively priced. If I could make one suggestion it would be to keep on top of the cleanliness of the show vans because as the foot fall increases they will need regular cleaning to make them look tip top to potential buyers.

Cannot fault the service today. I called at 2:30 pm with an issue that would prevent us leaving for the continent. I was informed they could fit me in @ 4pm to see if they could resolve my issue. I drove down, was booked in and the problem was resolved by 4;30. The young lady & the technician were superb. Polite, friendly, professional & a credit to themselves and the company. Five stars on every level. Thanks again.....

Excellent service for an urgent problem
We were staying down the road & called on spec for advice because we’ve had an episodic problem with the brakes on the caravan on and off this year - the technician came to speak to us and he seemed to resonate immediately with what the issue was. Luckily a cancellation had come up for the next day so we were booked in to enable it to be checked out and this was done efficiently. 3 problems were identified and sorted in an afternoon and straight away the difference has been noticed. The staff were all really professional from the reception staff to technicians who dealt with us and the after care manager. We are Very grateful for the service received. Thank you!

We purchased our brand new motorhome last month & received amazing customer service.
There were 2 or 3 issues initially, some apparent on collection day & others which required returning back at a later date (warranty claims)
On both occasions we were required to wait for works to be completed and we received outstanding customer service and the staff kept us updated frequently.
The café is exceptional and the food is gorgeous and definitely worth a visit irrespective of whether you’re buying a motorhome or caravan!!
Cannot fault Leisure World at all, Lauren kept in touch all the time and the owner Chris was extremely attentive, they bent over backwards to help us and rectify our issues. Would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No delivery no updates.
Ordered online on the 18/07/25 Happy Bowl Tolite liners x 11 items. Contacted them using their Web page for an update on delivery time. No reply after several days. Phoned them on 29/07/25 To be told they are waiting on stock but to hold on for a minute and they would check. I was told they usually inform people when there is a problem. Then nothing no update. Time to shop elsewhere for my items.

Please be aware
Please be aware, bought a brand new motorhome from this place, the deal was, we must pay for it in full within 7 days, collect in 14 days, ordered with extras, awning, habitation air con and tracker. Went to collect, no air con or tracker fitted, tracker was later fitted at my home address, the vehicle was then returned to Leisure World to have the air con fitted while we were away on holiday, it was agreed a gas bottle would be supplied for the inconvenience, arranged to collect the day after our return and greeted with "Don't know anything about it", after 40 minutes standing around, staff searching and phone calls, the keys were found. No gas bottle supplied. Disappointed.
The weekend after collection, we discovered water ingress from the top of a rear window, immediately contacted Leisure World as this will have been leaking in since the build date, as it was within 30 days of receipt of the vehicle we had the right to reject, which we did. From then on the only positive response we could get from calls or emails to them was when we said we will be taking legal action.
A call from the service department requesting the return of the vehicle for inspection, then a formal settlement figure ( the vehicle had done less than 200 miles and that was back and forth to them). Once agreed we would get a refund by BACS within 7-10 days. At that point they hold all the cards, Friday day 8, we email with a request asking when payment would be made, no response, called Rebecca in service and within 2 hours received full payment.
It seems that this company are happy to take your money but if there is an issue then only at the last minute of the 11th hour will they respond.

No respect to signed contracts
Motorhome advertised on their website for sale when we got there it had a reserve sticker on the vehicle. We were informed that the vehicle had been reserved over the phone and no money had exchanged hands. We agreed to purchase the vehicle, paid £5,000 deposit (bank transfer) and signed the necessary contract and a delivery date was booked.
Informed the next day that the motorhome we HAD PURCHASED was to be sold to the original interested party. When I complained I was told that the sale was down to the Sales Managers discretion despite a signed contract and hefty deposit being paid.
The Sales Manager is ignoring my calls or is having a day off.
Emails have been sent showing concerns of breach of contract but I have still to receive a response.
The company is clearly in the wrong but the Sales Manager is refusing to discuss the matter.

We had an issue with two chairs we ordered online.
Initially I thought this was going to be the usual nightmare of dealing with returns via an online company. However, the way the problem was handled and the solution and flexibility offered was highly impressive.

Bad customer service
Our caravan was booked in for repair on 9th June 2025. LW gave us this date on 20th March.
LW said they would need our caravan for 3 to 4 days.
We checked this date was still ok 7th May and again 21st May. LW confirmed 9th June was OK
13th June we called LW to arrange the collection of our caravan and was informed they had not started work on our caravan and the earliest they would start is 23rd June.
LW this isn't good enough. We feel as though you don't care. We will not recommend LW to anyone - their after sales service is dreadful and very frustrating.
We are on a seasonal pitch with no means of towing.
We have paid for and arranged transportation.

One star is one too many.
One star is, one too many, the warranty repair to my caravan took 41/2 months and came back worse than it was when booked in, they ignore all my emails, even those sent to the MD! I am now having to instigate legal proceedings to get my caravan repaired.

Great value, brilliant service
I bought an air con unit for my motorhome here. They were great value and could not have been more helpful, and when I had issues later on Clara and Ben were fantastic and went well beyond what I could expect. I can totally recommend their services.

Bought a Cadac grill and gas pigtail after asking the question "Is this everything I need to get conected to my gas bottle"
Assured that it was and of course it's not, needed another fitting after finding out we got to site to set it up.
How hopeless can you get?
