Although they have great inventory
Although they have great inventory, their follow through with delivery is terrible. I ordered a shed the beginning of February, and I was told that it would be delivered on April 4. The week of the delivery, all seemed well.
But the day before it was supposed to arrive, they changed my delivery day to the following week, I was leaving the country and could not wait a week. Promises were made to me all week, none of which were true. Very bad customer service and I was lied to all week. Now I must wait until September to receive the item I paid for over two months ago.
Leeroy Merlin online and Gondomar
Placed an order online which was then processed by leroy merlin Gondomar.
4 products were out of stock. they were cancelled off my order on the same day 18 march 2024.
I also paid for express delivery which means what was available should have arrived on the 19th. Had to go and buy missing products.
Products ordered only arrived on 20th. No refund to date has appeared in my account. No one asked for bank details. I was told on the phone it would be automatically processed via Mb way. nothing. Had I not followed up countless times, i would not be in the refund process.
I´m told today it could take another 14 days. Stock online not accurately depicted. Express delivery despite extra charge is not express and refund not received to date as of 1 April 2024. 14 days...
Wrong order
Wrong order, no management as such which delayed my supposed 3 weeks renovation to 3 months. Don’t ever do renovations with them!! Most of the items are either late or damaged or wrong. It’s a huge mess.
I had to go there in person 3 times with several phone calls to get their attention! Let’s see if they fix things. I am out of my house as I thought this will take 3 weeks!

My husband put an order on leroy Merlin website. I said to him that we don't need it and he has to cancel it. We started to look for a cancel option. It was almost impossible to find! After 2 hours we filled in their contact form and asked to cancel the order. It was on Friday night so leroy Merlin couldn't possibly sent any order yet. After a few days of silence they send us this order anyway and thus forced it on us! By sending this item despite the cancellation they created a conflict between me and my husband about this issue

Never order online from this company. Delivery service is atrocious and totally unreliable. Five orders , five deliver not when stated, all broken and I mean smashed to pieces! Refunds difficult and fraught to achieve back and forward to different stores as each item was delivered separately from a different store! A forest worth of meaningless paperwork, and a tank of petrol later, still no resolution for some items. Leroy you really ned to do better, a whole lot better! I won’t be ordering from you again!

Leroy Merlin is OK for buying something…
Leroy Merlin is OK for buying something in store, however they are horrible at in home services. They will take your money upfront, but when their contractors don't install equipment porperly they do nothing to get it resolved. Have been waiting for 3 weeks been to the store 4 times called a number of times and the answer is someone will get back to you in 48 business hours, no one ever does!

First purchase: 1 expensive item broken, 1 item wrong and 1 item missing
Is not unusual that LeroyMerlin has such a bad reputation.
I did my first purchase December 28th, 2023 and it will be most likely the last one.
A expensive (429 EUR) BOSCH Eros 6000 1500w ceramic radiator arrived with small pieces of ceramic loose inside the box. It works but it does a high pitched noise. I immediately call them on the delivery day, talked to someone that promised me they will contact me to get it sorted (today is 2024-02-07) not yet resolved, every 2-3 weeks they send an email with apologies and asking me when I am available just to then do nothing...
Then there was a missing item of around 4 euros that took 1 month to be refunded...
Then a wrong item, I bought a Sika tape for the chimney seal and they sent acoustic foam tape!
We arranged an interchange, they sent the right tape via CTT and I gave to the postman the wrong tape packed and with all the requiered numbers provided by LeroyMerlin.
All good? NO! a few days latter the guy from CTT arrived with my box saying nobody at Leroy Merlin wanted to receive it so they rejected it, therefor I have the box sitting in my livingroom waiting...
So, to sum up, they have no idea on how to deal with clients or fix their own abundant mistakes. In my account still the items are marked as ready for delivery! unbelievable!
As I live in Portugal I also submitted a complaint to a very popular portal here, where they are very active answering clients' complaints but that didn't help either.
For delivery
For delivery, they are unlike any other company. If you order thousands of dollars for delivery, you will be spinning in a mess because they are not like IKEA gathering all items for one delivery but they come each alone in a hundred pieces. Especially, they use ctt, which is an indecent delivery service, storing construction items at the post office. The end result, you will be disappointed and regret the order. Next time, I just go to a nearby store and shop there and deliver everything for 25 euros, instead of this mess for 40 euros delivery cost. It is not worth the pain.
Poor management
Poor management, poor customer service, staff is incredibly rude. I will never shop here again. Please go buy from somewhere else and don’t waste your money with this company!
I will no longer support the Coimbra store
I will no longer support the Coimbra store. I drove 50km as I needed tiles. The website showed 50 boxes in stock! The floor rep in the tiles area was very unfriendly to enquire with, and stated they don't have stock. I pull out my phone showing her the website shows 50 boxes in stock and she tels me the website is wrong, not even willing to check again for me to make sure. How can a qty of 50 boxes be wrong?? From now on only Amazon, these types of people should not have jobs.

Bought a large quantity pine wood planks/laths in Portugal via website.
Many of them with very low quality and came loose in the transport damaging them
1st complaint, exchanged for even worst material.
2nd complaint, new delivery , even worst than the 2 before, including USED material

Still waiting after one month for a refund despite phone calls, going into the store and using form on their website twice. Response after one month is the same, wait 48 hours until someone contacts you. Terrible customer service.

I am writing to complain about the service of Leroy Merlin.
In a cheeky and clever way, they stole my money and are refusing to respond to any of my emails.
They accepted my order even if the Item I wanted was not available. Then, after payment was made, from the one big order of multiple items they made two separate orders and cancelled the one which turned out to be unavailable.
I paid the whole amount and was expecting a refund. However, the process of refounding is extra complicated.
1. I must claim the refund which is disgraceful at the start. The money should be returned immediately even without me knowing.
2. I am not allowed to use my wife’s account even if this is the one I used to make the payment.
3. My emails are being rudely ignored.
4. After my official complaint I received an 1 email where I was told this was an unusual situation for them but I found several cases like mine on their official records. No reply though after my reply.
This is a common practice of an international company which should be a leader in excellent service. Instead, it looks like they are trying to steal people's money. I believe that this case is not a personal misbehaviour but a realising of policies which are set up to make it impossible for people to get back their own money. I am sure that I will not buy anything from this devil-company. Also, I warn you that even if I can live without 71 euros I will not leave this case unresolved.
Totally Unprofessional
I have spent a lot of money in this store. When it opened staff had received customer care training and it felt professional. Now its very Portuguese and staff dont care. The shambles of my expensive new kitchen and the shocking performance of staff could usefully be analysed by the French owners as a training exercise (but it won't be)
Called to cancel an order
Called to cancel an order. They told me to wait 14 days to have the money back. More then 14 days later, contacted them and they said 14 days after the cancellation is in the system and she saw it has been requested but nobody cancelled it.
Very strange you can't tell me when it will be cancelled and only after refunded. When will I get my money back?
Disgusting service, paid order not delivered
Disgusting service and complete lack of support. At first I tried to place an order on the website, but the address entry form didn't work on either computer. The support on the website did not respond. I emailed and LinkedIned several staff members but got no response. I ended up installing the iOS app and placed the order through it, paying for it. The order was supposed to be delivered today, but no one showed up or even called. I will be going physically to the store tomorrow to request a refund. And yes, their mobile app is broken too and I can't even see the order status, "Oops, a problem has accrued". Highly not recommended.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service! Ordered online with 24 hour delivery, when it did not show up in 24 hours, called and cancelled my order and was told it is cancelled and I will recieve my money back soon. It’s been 1,5 months and I have contacted them through phone and email but still not seeing my money 🙄
