Poor Data Security.
DAVIS sends one email containing password and username. They also pre-load customers data. So if your logon email is intercepted or email account hacked, anyone can access your account as they have both password and username, and are able to steal all your data, lock you out of your own account, and you would know nothing about it. Worryingly bad security.
They also allow users to change their password to exactly the same password used before with only one new character added to the end. This should never be allowed. Its basic security issues ignored by DAVIS, putting clients data at risk.
If their security is this poor, it begs the question what other serious flaws are there?
If you want to open up your company for potential liability as a result of instructing DAVIS, then go ahead. DAVIS is a data breach waiting to happen.

As a software provider that offers a health and safety compliance service we are at great pains to ensure that we comply with current industry standards and best practice in terms of minimum password requirements and overall system security. The service makes extensive use of the Microsoft Security package and all data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our services have been reviewed by a number of blue-chip expert customer security teams, our own group IT security specialists and tested by external auditing agencies. All have concluded that our current security standards and processes are commensurate with the type(s) of data being collected and meet or exceed required standards. In addition our systems are subject to regular vulnerability and external third party penetration testing to ensure that they contain no obvious weaknesses or flaws that could be exploited by hackers.
Our company holds ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus security certification. Under these standards our corporate security arrangements and procedures are subject to internal auditing and external scrutiny and review.

DAVIS Licence Checking system - superb.

We previously had the 'older' version of DAVIS (License Check) which did the job for us. However, when we were moved over to DAVIS we were bowled over by the system. Very intuitive and slick. It looks good and made an easy process even easier for us.
