We paid our 25% deposit 17th September…
We paid our 25% deposit 17th September 2021 and made the full payment on 11th November 2021 with the expectation that our kitchen will be completed in time for Christmas.
We were informed by Life staff that our kitchen was going to be delivered on 26th November 2021 and so we made arrangements to be at home that day. We were also informed that installation would commence the following Monday (29th). We contacted Life Staff late afternoon on 26th November because there was no sign of the delivery, to be informed our kitchen was out for delivery and would be delivered as scheduled that day. An hour later we were informed by someone else that it would not be delivered until the following Tuesday 30th November.
The kitchen fitters arrived on Wednesday 1st December, who were prompt and very professional. However, they informed us that several other kitchen items were either missing, not properly constructed and the wrong item had been sent.
Our complaint as of 19th December 2021 is:
We have no door handles on our cupboard doors, it is extremely hard to open cabinets with no handles.
One of the draws on the island, the two sides are not fitted correctly and therefore move. The kitchen fitters informed us that the draw was not constructed properly in the factory.
We have no under unit lights, they have not been delivered.
The wrong plinth was sent and not enough, so we are waiting for correct plinth to be delivered.
We do not have enough trim for the cupboards, we are waiting for more to be delivered.
One on the draws in the pantry, does not have a rubber mat on the bottom, we are waiting for this to be delivered.
The fridge door was delivered with a bump and scratch, which is very visible, and we have already sent photos to Life.
The end panel on the Island has not been delivered.
Finally, the customer service from Life, has been very poor. There has been no consistency with who calls us and who responds to our enquires. Staff call and say they will call back and then don’t call. One person text us to say he would call and then we did not hear back. On Friday 17th December, we informed staff that we wanted to make a complaint, were informed they would contact us by email and we have not heard anything.
I wish we had read previous reviews on other websites before paying full price up front. Terrible customer service for high end prices.
