the company offers french bulldog owners a competitive price. You would think that as your paying 5x the rate of other dogs that the risks of having a french bulldog are priced in. But they are not, they claim they do not cover congenital issues as they are pre existing. Nearly every french bulldog problems is congenita.. they do not class these issues as charicteristic traits even though they all have them. basically just scamming you as they have a get out clause in the small print. Its just normal DOG insurance that you pay 5x more as its a french bulldog but will not cover french bulldog problems.
Easy to set up and call handler very friendly and courteous, very supportive and customer service brilliant.

I originally submitted all my details to lifetime pet cover through a price comparison site.
I received confirmation of the direct debit mandate immediately, however, I received no confirmation or documents from Lifetime Pet Cover.
So after two days I phoned Lifetime Pet Cover, and was informed that there were issues with people arranging Pet cover through the comparison site and no record of my Pet's cover existed.
I was advised to cancel the direct debit and apply again, this time through Lifetime Pet Cover's own web site.
This time everything worked as it should, and the process of setting up the insurance was a positive one.

It is painful to write this but it’s a warning to others. Their underwriters Trent are good. It seems to change each year which adds a host of frustration and putting our dogs life sustaining treatment at risk! This is because even though agreed previously, each time the underwriter changes they say it has to be reassessed.
The customer service agents are kind but the company are not at all customer focused. Changes to direct debits, not able to choose a date of payment, literally no flexibility at all to support customers. Even the complaints process is weighted in their favour and do not follow the direct debit guarantee! Their answer is to cancel your policy which is so bizarre! Apparently they only offer such support for vulnerable customers - Great service Lifetime Pet Cover - Not.
Such a shame because it could be so much better to listen to your customers and their beloved family pets.

ive already reveiwed one once but i want to reveiw the policy for life. My dog was diagnosed with heart problems a few months ago and now has to have medication .Up to before christmas they were pretty good as its an on going condition but on the 18/dec i wanted to make sure my dog didnt go short of meds over christmas .The bill came to £171 approx which the vet submitted the claim .however later the claim was declined as they said the claim was below the £200 excess which id previously paid the new policy started on the 4/5 November but because they said it was in between policy years they wouldnt pay the claim as it was under £200 so in effect to me theyre treating it as a new claim even though its an on going condition this too me is a rip off .Ive written 2 complaint e-mails which have not been replied to
