Perfect from start to finish
I recently purchased an Approved Used Jaguar F-Pace 2.0 D200 R-Dynamic HSE from Lloyd Jaguar Newcastle and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Communication was first-class from the initial enquiry via Autotrader right through to collecting the car in person. Everything was clear, professional, and handled efficiently.
A special mention to Dan Shale, who was outstanding throughout – friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. He made the process smooth and enjoyable and kept me well informed at every stage.

Purchase of my Mercedes GLC
Purchased a used Mercedes GLC through Lloyd Land Rover today. Had not personally saw the car but was sent good quality videos from Ryan Dale and agreed with a good part exchange price subject to view. When arriving at Lloyd JLR this morning from Scotland we were welcomed by a lovely receptionist who offered tea or coffee. During our wait other sales staff approached us with the same offer. When Ryan arrived he thoroughly went through all aspects of the sale and was a delight to deal with. I, like most others have purchased many cars from main dealerships, but I must admit Lloyd JLR were up there with the best.

Bought a car from Lloyd Select Newcastle that has had vibration and steering issues from the start. It's been in several times to 'rectify' the issues, some of which have been ignored and some of which they keep diagnosing as different issues despite the symptoms always remaining the same. They are now trying to force me to take back a car with a serious dangerous problem that they have failed to rectify several times and keep trying to fob me off an lying to me. They have not even followed their own complaints procedure. I have had no choice but to contact the motor ombudsman and the finance company to have it properly investigated for the car to be rejected. They have been nothing but unprofessional during the whole process, even trying to blame me for the issues and offer me 'goodwill gestures' in an attempt to make me withdraw my complaint. They do not perform proper checks on cars they sell, do not fix them, do not listen. They even think it's acceptable to send me emails at 11pm on a Sunday evening regarding my issues!
The only thing they have done successfully is fail to take ownership and try to fob me off

Five star experience from start to finish. The showroom team were knowledgeable, professional, and refreshingly straightforward to deal with. Communication throughout the process was clear and timely, with no pressure at any point. The delivery of my inky black diesel Ineos Grenadier 1924 Belstaff Edition was handled impeccably and exactly as promised. A genuinely excellent sales experience and a credit to the brand. Jaguar york sold E pace with tampered DPF System
After taking my Jaguar E Pace for first MOT I was told by Jaguar Edinburgh that the PDF system had been tampered with (cut open and welded shut again and software had been modified)
Required a whole new system costing 3k
Despite confirmation of this by Edinburgh Lloyd York were unwilling to take responsibility knowing fine well they had sold me a car with a tampered PDF system which is also illegal!!
After sales manager useless,for a large company like this quite shocking really !!
I can confirm that the reply below from Lloyd Jaguar is 100 💯 UNTRUE!!
I have been advised by the aftersales manager they are unwilling to help or resolve the issue of THE TAMPERED PDF SYSTEM despite Edinburgh Jaguar confirming this to them .
I have now put this in the hands of the motor ombudsman as Tampering with a DPF SYSTEM and selling the car with a valid MOT that they done themselves is illegal

Extremely Difficult to Make Contact
Sent a contact form on 19/12/25 ( acknowledged 20/12/25) re booking our Evoque in for a service on 06/02/26. Despite the 'get in touch' page of your website stating you would be in touch within 24 hours I have heard nothing. Extremely disappointed as used contact form due to being unable to make contact via telephone .... have attempted to phone at least 4 times today and call is ended from your end unanswered. Really poor service for an alleged prestige brand. Another contact form sent today and acknowledged

Shockingly bad "Customer Service" & some appalling cars. With the standard of preparation & aftercare you really may as well buy privately or at auction & save a fortune. They had a car identical to mine advertised at £37k & wanted to give £25k for mine in P/Ex, that's how much they rip you off. In a trade known for dishonest & prevarication they are the worst I've dealt with in 35 years.

I had a great experience with Lloyd Kia South Lakes. From the first contact through to the handover, everything was straightforward, well-managed, and handled properly.

I bought my Jaguar f-pace
I bought my Jaguar f-pace, on 20th September 2025 from Lloyd's Jaguar Land Rover, Carlisle. The sales and patter was just what I wanted to hear excellent !! When I collected the car and got it home I noticed the stop/start was not working, also the badge on the boot was coming off. I contacted Lloyd's and without hesitation they told me to bring the car in and they would sort it.
They lent me a car and after 2 days I got a call saying all sorted. The badge had been replaced and they had checked out the stop/start and said they had recharged the battery and its all working fine. I did tell them the battery needed replacing because in my experience when the auto stop/starts begins to fail its usually the battery's not holding a full charge. They told me it didn't need a new battery, it just needed a good charge. I picked the car up. I was happy with the new badge and they put my mind at ease with the stop/start. I drove back home to Liverpool and to my surprise the stop/start did not work. I phoned Lloyd's,.Carlisle and spoke to Andy, the salesman, who said he would ring me back the following day. He didn't ring me back. I left it for a couple of days and unfortunately I had to contact him. He told me that Clare from the service team would ring me back within the hour... she didn't! I rang her back three days later and she wasn't very pleasant to me on the phone to.say the least, and she made so many excuses as to why she had failed to call me back. I told them I didn't need this hassle has my wife was undergoing surgery for a hip replacement and I had enough to deal with at home. They agreed to send a driver to Liverpool to pick the car up. Which they did and I was left a courtesy car.
Two days later I got a call from Claire to come and collect my car and said they had replaced the battery which was what i said needed from day one!
I suggested they return my car back to me in liverpool but she said I should come to collect it because they wouldn't have a driver available for another five days, and it would be a great help to them for me to collect it myself. They also said they would top up my car with diesel, which they did.
On my arrival at Lloyds I felt I was given a frosty reception. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss my experience and to be honest his attitude towards me was boardering on passive aggressive. I told him it was five hour round trip for me and that I had had to leave my wife home alone having just had major surgery and not long out from hospital. I told him if the car had the '150 point Jaguar' check that they like to say they give every car bought from them, then we wouldn't be having this problem and I wouldn't have been inconvenienced to the extent I had. He showed no empathy or compassion for my dilemma. I said to the manager, I think his name was Marcus, that as a good will gesture maybe Lloyd's could offer me a free service and mot.. bearing in mind I have had a 5 hour round trip today. His reply was 'I DONT THINK I WILL BE DOING THAT!' Yet I had inconvenienced myself by travelling to Carlisle to help them out that day, whilst leaving my wife suffering at home alone. He just was not interested.
This whole debacle could have been avoided if Lloyd's had done there due diligence before handing the car over to me. The attitude of all the staff, after the sale, leaves a lot to be desired.
I went to Lloyd's Jaguar Land rover to buy my car for the what I thought would be an excellent experience... The Jaguar Experience. Well that has been a total disappointment. In fact, after the way I have been treated once they had my cash for the car, I will never purchase another car from Jaguar Land river, Carlisle. They have let the whole Jaguar Company down.

BYD Carlisle.
I recently visited the BYD showroom in Carlisle. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall there was a really good atmosphere. The salesman who I dealt with, Derek Fulton, was very informative about the BYD cars. He listened to what I was looking for and directed me towards to Atto3 which I went on to purchase. A further example of poor service provided by Lloyd Land Rover York.
Recently encountered second episode of failed components on 3 yo used vehicle purchased in Jun 2024. Was quoted a price for repairs which was accepted, however when the Invoice was issued the total value was for over 25% more than quoted. This was identified as excess labour but not agreed prior to the work being carried out or justified since. Was told to pay the full amount to be able to collect my vehicle and it would be be investigated for a part refund. This was almost 5 weeks ago and still no resolution, just excuses and incompetence.
After several ignored emails and promises of a resolution by services and after sales, I have reported to the motor ombudsmen as a last resort.
I expected a premium service and premium product, from what is advertised as a premium brand...

Terrible and shady sales practices.
Found a car online overnight, I left my details. I was called up the next day, and straight away the shady sales practices started under the claimed cloak of being professional. Asked a £460 discount, and then a rigmarole of calls of talking to no less than 3 sales people commented. The car was at market value and already approaching 5 years old with 53000 miles, not exactly new. Then I was asked to send all my pics of my part exchange and service history which I obliged. It is worth noting that I was told that I would be getting a video walk around of their car sent to me, I never received it. As I am not local to them i was considering having the car delivered, don't bother, stupidly priced. When we finally settled on price and I decided to pick the car up myself, these intransigent individuals then rang me with the temerity to say the car would have to be MOT'd and that it would fail, corroded discs etc etc. This a premium car with nothing being inexpensive, a 2021 Mercedes c300d estate. I told them enough was enough, after I had got my car ready, ridiculous. AVOID fairground workers in suits, they are truly deplorable.

So the reply on the review is left on the 11th August stated to get in touch so they could look into it for me ! So here we are on the 17th November and still waiting to hear from Lloyds bmw !
Avoid at all costs take your money and dont want to know if you have any issues !!
Amazed still I buiseness im not the only one who has been sold a car been involved in an accident check out other reviews on Lloyds bmw.

Throughout the whole process Callum has been knowledgeable, courteous and patient. He has promptly answered all our questions and concerns and we didn’t ever feel that enormous pressure you can often feel whilst buying a car. Thank you Callum.
