We visited the Solihull showroom today and had the pleasure of meeting a lovely sales assistant who spent time with us while we decided on an occasional chair and bed frame. She happily organised fabric samples, offered advice when asked and made the purchase process a pleasure. We left the store with a really nice feeling of being looked after. We even received free hot chocolate sachets and a few chocolate treats too. This is how shopping can and should be. There is only one regret. We didn’t ask the assistant her name or I would have mentioned this here. She should be commended for her fabulous customer service.

After an ordering a sofa from another company that I had to send back as it wouldn’t fit through my front door,I was assured my choice of a flat pack sofa would do. Plenty of choice of designs and fabrics, no pushy salespeople and an enjoyable experience. Also ordered a chair and it’s arriving next week! Thanks to Pete at sofa Solihull.

After some initial confusion around scheduling the “will it fit” consultations, Loaf pulled it out of the bag!
Great ordering experience and some great advice on fabric and colours. I was even given a little token for the previous hiccup, which restored my faith! I’m now a happy Loafer!

Had a brilliant experience in the Solihull store with store manager Jack who was incredibly helpful and kind. He helped us with our decision to buy a Dawdler sofa and had such a lovely warmth and friendliness that made the whole buying experience really fun. Huge thanks to Jack!

We had such a good visit ( first time we have been) to the Loaf shack in Solihull.
The staff were incredibly helpful & friendly - sharing some good information to help with our choices.
We initially went on Saturday and Jack was so impressive : really good pitch of offering help, but leaving you to browse too. Nothing was too much trouble!! We also met Pete, who again was brilliant.
I returned on the Sunday to place our order - Pete dealt with my order, again super friendly and helpful. He was training a new member of staff ( Sia / not sure spelt correctly!) who again was so smiley . The staff as a team were definitely impressive, and couldn’t recommend them enough.
It was such a good experience , and so nice to purchase in a store rather than online for a change!!’ we will definitely return ,

Staff were happy and helpful with plentiful knowledge and plentiful Tunnocks goodies.
Quick and easy to Order, no hard sell, no push for any finance etc.
100% would shop there again, amazing settee purchased and can’t wait to sit on it and have a coffee out of our Loaf mugs!
Not delivered yet so I’ll reserve judgement if we are actual mugs but I really doubt it as these guys believe in their products

I went to try and sort out accessing my account and to use a credit balance I knew was there. Because of the system upgrade currently in progress I had had difficulty doing this myself.
The staff were very helpful and managed to do this for me and I then felt able to make my order whilst using my credit balance at the same time. I am more than pleased with the informative help that was given. The chocolate drink sachets were a welcome addition to the whole very positive experience.

Shopping is seldom joyful but this was a rare delight. Peter (and the other staff) was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, generous with his time and courteous. As we left we remarked on how we wished all retail experiences could be this good.

Soda arrived in March with a fault. Technician came out to confirm fault. New arms ordered but when they arrived colour didn’t match and stitching different. Loaf therefore ordered a replacement. Arrived 29th September and it wasn’t the right sofa. Since then they have ignored my emails. Appalling customer service.
UPDATE 16/02/2026
They eventually emailed to apologise and advised they had ordered the replaced and it would be 8-10 weeks. 10 weeks later, guess what, they hadn’t ordered it.
They finally order the second replacement and again it’s not the same item as our original order.
Now it seems they can’t order a direct replacement for our sofa as it’s no longer manufactured the same way. Ie it’s now two pieces with a join in the back. Being a single piece and not having a join in the back is what attracted us to this soda in the first place.
Loafs solution is to now refund us, take the original away and leave us with nothing and back to square one after messing us around for 11 months.
Truly awful customer service. We certainly won’t ever be retuning as customers.

Met as we entered the store.Helpful assistant, but not over bearing, she gave us space to browse, but was there when we had questions. No heavy selling, let us decide for ourselves. Perfect mix of being there, but not pushy. Thank-you Moriam.

Really fantastic service in Store. Allowed us to move stuff around to choose between two options and pull out samples of material to really consider our choice. Staff were great with my little one who played games and coloured. Chocolate treats were a lovely touch!

The store is full of delightful and well made products.
The staff are friendly, but also unobtrusive. They offer to get a sense of what you are looking for and then offer the help you need.
They obviously know their products well and also know that the quality speaks for itself.
The staff give you space to explore the store, but are on hand if you need assistance.
We were pleased with our purchase of a mattress. The price was excellent for a mattress of that quality, particularly when compared to similar products elsewhere.
Altogether a very pleasant shopping experience.

This would have been a five star for Josh, Brand Ambassador, as he saved the day.
It also would have been a five star for Solihull Loaf location, as they provide the best shopping experience I've had in a long time.
But the four star is for the new policy for customer service. In the past I have phoned and spoken to a customer service agent who has helped me with measurements and access. It seems that there has been a policy change and this is no longer available. A simple yes or no has changed into a 'they will phone you back' after hanging on the line for around 15 minutes and the phone back is actually the next day.
Nevertheless, Josh was polite and apologetic and managed to answer my question quickly and so now I look forward to receiving the furniture I ordered through him!
Now just waiting for the sofa to turn up before Christmas. Fingers crossed after much miscommunication!
