Just fetched our knives back after having them sharpened. They're terrific! Grateful to have them back better than new.

It was all made very easy
It was all made very easy. I brought in the knives, paid for them to get sharpened, then returned 2 days to some incredibly sharp knives. I'll be doing this again whenever my knives need sharpening.
Extremely sharp knives!
Easy drop-off of knives. They are now extremely sharp! The knives were returned with very nice plastic sheaths and instructions for care.
The only "down" comment I would make is that knife-sharpening is a 48 hour turn-around, which I either was not told or I didn't hear/remember. The turn-around time wasn't the issue, but after two weeks, there was no call or email from Local Root, a minimal effort which I would have appreciated.
I will definitely use this service again.

We love Local Root
We love Local Root. I recently had several knives sharpened by them. The result was amazing. They have such good customer service. Didricks and Local Root are a welcomed addition to Belmont Center’s Retail Landscape. We would love to have more stores of the same caliber.
I give them 5 stars
I give them 5 stars, but can honestly only rate them on their knife sharpening. The owners/staff are personable and helpful, and my knives are razor sharp, which is what I asked of them.
Excellent knife sharpening
Entrusted them with my cherished Chinese clever. They returned it perfectly sharpened.
My place for sharpening knives
My place for sharpening knives that I care about
Great work
From dull and deadly to amazing
Handed over my collection of dull kitchen knifes of all sizes and shapes that were an serious need of a sharpen.
48 hours later WOW! I love my knifes and am enjoying learning how to use a sharp one vs a dull. Amazing transformation. The one with the bent tip was straightened and the large chefs knife with the 3 nicks looks brand new again.
5 stars - 2 thumbs up - I will be back every 6 months for a refresh.

Excellent knife sharpening
Excellent knife sharpening. Two knives were completed ahead of schedule.
Quality excellent though pricey
Service was fast, employees were friendly and the knife is sharp. The cost was more than I’m used to paying, so I’ll only go back if I need it done quickly.
Great job sharpening my knives
When the person who had been sharpening my knives for many years went out of business and I realized Thanksgiving would be a challenge without sharper knives, I found Local Root. Jonathan did an excellent job of sharpening about 10 knives for me. He returned them in the promised 48 hours - even on a Sunday and despite it being a busy time of year. The knives are clean, sharp, and he even took the time to repair a bent tip. I’m a fan.

The team at Local Root was friendly and very helpful. Their entire product line is high quality and the staff are quite knowledgeable. My knife, which I had sharpened there, is much sharper now and the turnaround time was very good.

Stopped into the new Belmont location …
Stopped into the new Belmont location for their knife sharpening services and am glad I did. I left three knives that were long overdue for sharpening. They came back beautifully sharpened and protected by some nice sheaths that I'd not brought them in with. Sharpening services take only 24 hours and the owner does it himself. A little pricer than the last place I brought them, but I expected that given LR is a specialty store.
