First of all, I should mention that I am a customer of this company.
I’ve been happy with them, especially the fact that they never required a hold on funds on my card like other companies do.
If you check in online, everything goes smoothly.
However... the cars are a bit neglected... though perhaps that’s not entirely their fault (even though, in my opinion, a car should be both picked up and returned clean).
The car I rented—an Opel Corsa—was dirty; the floor was full of sand, and the seats had water stains. I’m mentioning this because the person receiving the car should have cleaned it—and yes!—charged the previous renters for the interior cleaning.
Anyway... I’m writing this for the people who had the car before me: you are filthy, disgusting slobs.
If I were the company, I would have fined you at least 200 euros!
Don't worry, though—I took the car to a car wash and cleaned the interior myself before returning it.

Not a great experience. Booked a VW Tiguan given a Ford Puma. Also booked a very comprehensive cover but still pressure to up sell additional cover. In general I would not recommend Locauto

The car had a problem with the engine…
The car had a problem with the engine and stopped. Locauto do not find a solution to deliver a replacement at my location. The only solution was to find a taxi to make 40 kms by myself to collect the replacement car
People at the desk are very rude, zero customer oriented. I lost hours trying to solve a problem

Everything went quickly during both pickup and drop-off; Even though the fuel tank wasn't full when I picked up the car, the guys at Locauto told me to take a photo just in case. Also, the car had several scratches at pickup, yet no one checked for any new ones upon return.

The first point of contact at Bari Airport was good but the actual pickup from the car collection point was poor. They showed a lack of interest in assisting us and didn’t bother to go through the the use of the vehicle, particularly the instruments inside the car. The drop off in Lecce was quick and efficient.

Easy, friendly, no hidden charges. The car was clean and in a good condition. Very easy to peak it from the airport of Bari and leave it back there. The staff was polite and helpful. No guarantee needed or credit card. I highly recommend it for use in southern Italy.

Engine failure and 1h to get another vehicle
I chose this rental agency thinking I wouldn't have any problems and that the process would be quick. That wasn't the case. The rental car had an engine failure, there was no remote assistance, and it took an hour to get another vehicle. Disappointing, given how many people in staff were at the agency.

Puglia 7-days trip
For my 7 day trip in Puglia,
I rented an Opel Corsa 2020, but it wasn’t available at the time, so they gave me a free upgrade to a brand-new Ford Puma 2025 instead!
The people at Locauto were amazing..very kind, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process.
Definitely one of the best car rental companies in terms of price, service, and quality! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
