Very easy to find the rental office, it's just outside the exit of Tull Declaration zone in the arrival hall.
No cue at all when we arrived, easy check-in and fast service. Only "note" is that it was not so easy to find back to the "Return point" when we wanted to retur our rental car in the Airport. Locauto is not present on any of the signs on the road towards parking areas. This could be improved.

Transparent: At the front desk they were totally transparent and gave clear information regarding our rental agreement.

Returning the car was very swift and professional. It was the fourth time we rented a car with locauto catania. Always good service.

The location of the rental desk is perfect — it is right in the arrivals hall, so you see it almost immediately after entering the public arrivals area. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and it was a pleasure dealing with them.
The car itself was excellent: new, clean and in perfect condition. I also really appreciated the flexible return process. We returned the car at around 5:30 in the morning and simply left the keys in the key box, which was very convenient.
There were only two things that prevented me from giving 5 stars.
The first was the location of the car pick-up parking area and, more importantly, the lack of clear directions to it. When we left the airport, all the visible “car rental” signs led us to another rental parking area where several other companies are located, but Locauto is not there. We had to walk around the airport, return to the rental desk to ask again, and in the end even ask taxi drivers outside to point us in the right direction. Clear instructions or dedicated Locauto signs from the terminal to their parking area would completely solve this problem.
The second issue was the absence of floor mats in the car. I understand that Sicily has a warm climate, but the roads and parking areas can be quite dusty and dirty, and without mats all of this dirt goes directly into the fabric floor covering. This made cleaning the car before returning it unnecessarily difficult, as dust and road dirt were much harder to vacuum out of the carpet than they would have been from removable mats.
Apart from these two points, our experience was excellent. The car, the staff, the location of the desk and the return process were all very good, and I was fully satisfied with the service.

Gianluca was perfect. Excellent service I highly recommend.

The pickup and car return process was easy and swift. Office is right in the terminal, pickup location is about 150m away. During the pickup, we were shown all the demadges on the car, were adviced to take a video in case we want to. The car was clean and in very good condition. I would not hesitate to book the car with this company again.

ps: I strongly recommend to buy the full coverage - the drivers in Sicily are, how to say that, humm, just add the insurance … 😉

Scam!!! I Must pay 80€ because bei fuel tank was 20km lower when i get the car.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Locauto at Catania Airport, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The entire process was incredibly smooth. Check-in at their in-terminal airport desk took a mere 5 minutes. Both the counter staff and the vehicle delivery team were exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional.
Best of all, they did not block a single Euro as a security deposit on my card, which made the experience completely stress-free.

When I returned the almost-new Audi Q2, the check-in agent completed the incoming inspection in just 1 minute. There was a tiny parking scratch on the bumper from parallel parking in Giardini Naxos.
Instead of panicking or trying to overcharge me on the spot, the agent was completely calm and polite. He told me not to worry and gracefully explained the exact documentation process so I could easily claim it back through my broker's insurance.

Coming from Switzerland, I expected an minor scratch to cost a fortune, but Locauto was completely honest and transparent, charging a very fair €130. This company represents the absolute gold standard of car rentals in Italy. I will definitely book with Locauto again!

It was fast and easy to get the prepared car. The Locauto employees were very friendly and well equipped in relation to language skills (english). Where I was not very happy were two things:
1/when I got the car, there was no instruction not even question if I am familiar with such brand of the car and how to use it safely (lights etc)
2/Child carseat- I was not explained at all how to fix it into the car , so I had to go back to the office and ask for help as the seat was not fixed.

We did not have my wife’s drivers license. We tried to use mine instead. We were denied the car and had to rent another for 600 more euros. Ridiculous. The only extra star is for the nice agent whose hands were tied. The denial came from over the phone after two extra hours in the airport.

Highly recommend to book them as they offer competitive prices, new cars, multiple locations and staff is friendly, but if you don’t speak Italian book through booking.com!
We rented an automatic car from Catania airport the AC of the car broke in the +35C heat, and we couldn’t get in touch with the phone numbers they gave us - no one would pick up.. but once booking.com reached them they called us back and had us a new car ready for pick up! I do think our AC breaking was just unlucky as the car seemed very new but deducted one start because they were really hard to reach on the phone directly. Once we reached them we picked up the car within an hour and got an upgrade. All staff were really helpful and fast!

Easy pick up, great car. Rental without eny problems.
