Dispute over vehicle damage
Dispute over vehicle damage. Rented vehicle at Rome FCO. Vehicle had several scratches and body damage as noted on vehicle inspection prior to acceptance. Several scuffs on rear of car and was informed by Locauto representative that they were no concern and considered normal wear and tear. Returned vehicle in Civitavacchia and Locauto representative noted a scuff on the lower rear fender. This claimed damage was not visible in his photo that was provided in his damage report even after he attempted to highlight the area by rubbing and applying his saliva to the area. This reported damage did not occur during my rental period. If existing damage cannot be detected in the parkade in FCO with poor lighting and supplemental lighting using an i-pad, how am I responsible for reported damage that cannot be captured in a photo in good natural light. This damage report, dispute of claim and completing of forms and reports has resulted in a very negative experience. The bill for 275 euro for the claimed damage is outrageous. It would appear that there are different standards in what is considered reportable damage in different Locauto locations.

My reservation was for a skoda stationwagon automatic, Locauto gave me a Hiyndai Stationwagos Stamdard even do it was a smaller type of car and not Automatic.
The address in your web page or google from the civitaveccia office its not correct.

We were stuck in the port near Rome…
We were stuck in the port near Rome after a cruise and needed a car for transportation. The gentleman was so helpful. Got me a car the day of the drive to Rome and returned to the airport. He was very kind and helpful!
