Giuseppe - Locauto
We had an excellent experience thanks to Giuseppe. From start to finish, he was incredibly professional, kind, and accommodating. When we ran into an issue with the car—specifically, my boyfriend realized that driving a stick shift wasn’t as easy as he thought—Giuseppe handled everything with patience and understanding.
Despite the limited availability, he went out of his way to help us switch to an automatic. He made several calls, advocated on our behalf, and ultimately secured the only automatic car available. His determination to help us was impressive and deeply appreciated.
Giuseppe brought humor and warmth to what could have been a stressful situation. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We highly recommend this car service—and if you get the chance, definitely ask for Giuseppe. He made all the difference in our trip!

Persons at front deck were very helpful…
Persons at front deck were very helpful and willing to assist, but the car received except car group did not correspond to what was ordered and confirmed by Locauto. Ordered was a car with automatic gearbox and GPS. It was not possible to solve discrepancy by credit note.

The car is dirty.
I’m renting a car from Messina. The car is dirty on the outside and inside. There was only this car available and with 2 small kids and no other options I had to accept the car. The rental location said that the car was fine, no problem. I want to have the car cleaned. There is no answer when I try calling the rental location. If I have the car cleaned, will the company reimburse me for the cost of cleaning? At the moment the car doesn’t feel hygienic.

I had an excellent experience with Locauto Car Rental.
From the moment I walked in, the staff was polite and welcoming. The establishment was clean, well-organized, and professional. Marco was incredibly patient, walking me through all the necessary documents and insurance options. As a traveler from the U.S. renting a car in Italy for the first time, this level of support was truly reassuring.
Locauto offered a variety of rental options, and my car was spotless and fully fueled for my trip. When I returned the vehicle, both Marco and another team member provided quick and efficient service. They even helped call a cab for me while I charged my phone—a thoughtful gesture that made my experience even better.
I can’t recommend Locauto enough! I will definitely be renting from them again when I’m back in Sicily.

Absolutely horrible service
Absolutely horrible service. They didn't have the car we had booked, so needed to give us a smaller vehicle, but didn't change the rental amount. Then, Locauto attempted to charge me for damage to the vehicle that did not happen during our rental (which I will absolutely not be paying).
Other rental agencies such as Sicily by Car are much more trustworthy and professional. Do yourself a favor and go with them.
