In sum, we should have read the google reviews. We came across all the same issues that the other customers faced.It was almost impossible to rent the car since they requested a credit card with driver's name, which was not possible since nowadays most card do not have names or numbers at the back. We almost lost $500 because of that, we even tried to get a refund but the staff was making it so difficult for us to cancel the reservation or request a refund. After a couple of hours we were able to rent a car, however I would not recommend this rental option. There was nothing wrong with the cars, but it seems like they are trying to scam people into booking online and then presenting multiple "issues" at the front desk for pick up.

Really easy and quick process to rent a car considering I did not have a reservation. Good quality cars and reasonable prices. Customer service personnel at Milan Central Station and at Malpensa airport Italy was really receptive and helpful.

I am writing regarding a car rental booked with Locauto.
We picked up the car at your Milan Central Station office. At the time of pick-up, we paid the required rental charges, and we also separately paid the fee for returning the vehicle at Bergamo Airport.
However, when we returned the car at Bergamo Airport on August 16, 2026, a Locauto employee requested an additional €170, explaining that this charge was required specifically because the vehicle was being returned at the airport.
We do not understand this additional charge, as we had already paid separately for the one-way/airport drop-off when we picked up the vehicle in Milan.
According to the final rental statement we received, there is already a “One Way Fee” of €73.20 plus €10.98 in VAT, and we would therefore like to understand why we were asked to pay an additional €170 at the time of returning the vehicle.
Could you please review our rental agreement and payment records and clarify:
1. What exactly the additional €170 charge was for;
2. Why this amount was requested at Bergamo Airport despite the drop-off fee already having been paid;
3. Whether this charge was correctly applied according to our rental agreement.
If the €170 was charged incorrectly or duplicated a fee that we had already paid, we kindly request that the amount be refunded to our original payment method.
I have attached the final rental statement for your reference.
I look forward to your explanation and resolution of this matter.

Great rental car
We booked the car at the Last Minute at Milano Central station. Everything went really quick and well. The car was in good condition and the the return process was also easy. A plus was also that it’s possible to book with a Visa debit card. Would book again!

Good car rental experience
We rented a car at Centrale train station. The service was friendly. David was very kind helping with directions to the hotel when we brought the car back, and we were happy with our rental car experience.

Locauto positive service and nice cars
Personnel of Locauto are very positive, polite and speak English perfectly! It took me only 5 minutes to receive a quotation from a pretty girl, who instructed me about specific points. After that I received Italian car - Alfa Romeo in a good condition, so it made me even happier.

Upselling issue and no customer care at…
Upselling issue and no customer care at the checking in - Our train was cancelled and I called the office. They said it’s no show and gave me different car and charged me additional money which is unfair. We were late only couple of hours and even that was beyond our control. I am ok with a different car but charging extra/upselling to take the advantage is bad thing.
I asked for Patrol car and I was given Diesel car which is again not a good thing. My overall experience was not better than 3 star.
