I have rented from Locauto 3 times now…
I have rented from Locauto 3 times now and l couldn’t be more satisfied. They were referred to me by a friend whose family also rents from them every time they come to Sicily. The cars are clean. The staff is exceptional. I rented from them for 3 months while my car was being serviced. One of the cats kept giving me a tire alert. I brought it back and immediately they gave me a different car. They are truly exceptional when it comes to renting. At one point in August they had no cars available and I had to rent from Sicily by car. That was the worst experience and the worst car. I kept it for the three days until Locauto had a car for me. It really does matter who you rent from here.

Excellent car rental experience from start to finish! The whole rental process was very easy, and the customer service was friendly, helpful, and professional. There were no hidden costs or unexpected extra charges.
We were also able to easily change the main driver on the reservation before picking up the car, as the original driver was unable to collect the car. The process was quick and hassle-free.
We also added a second driver on-site for around €10 per day, which was very convenient.
Picking up the car was quick and easy, and we were given plenty of time to take as many photos and videos of the car as we wanted. Even better, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a better car without even asking for one!
Returning the car was just as easy and hassle-free.
Overall, a fantastic experience. I would definitely use their services again in the future and highly recommend them!

Great car, but check the available packages
It was very quick and easy communication at the airport, and the process overall was seamless. I was given an almost brand new car. My only negative comment was that I was not provided with complete information about different insurance packages and was automatically offered the highest, which is not cool.

You rent a car for a week, and then, because of a problem with their tyre, you end up without a car for around 25 hours. I reported the problem immediately, they took the car away, and the solution was: figure it out yourself and come to Palermo the next day to pick up another car. 🤦♂️
So instead of enjoying my holiday, I lost practically an entire day dealing with their problem and arranging transportation to Palermo.

Terrible Customer Service – No Response After 11 Days
I returned the car 11 days ago, and I still have not received any email or document confirming that the vehicle was returned and that the rental agreement has been closed.
I have already submitted two requests regarding this issue and also contacted customer service by phone. During the call, I was told that I should receive the closing documentation, yet I have received no response or follow-up whatsoever.
After 11 days and several attempts to resolve such a simple matter, I find this level of service extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Last minute car hire was seamless
We had to hire a car last minute due to our travel plans changing and they were extremely efficient with a very good price considering it was last minute, with full insurance and the car was great. I think I'll consider using Locauto in the future over the bigger brands.
