Insurance price is not clearly stated when booking, and it is in the end pretty expensive with insurance. When it comes to the employees we didn‘t have really good experience, they were pretty uninterested and didn‘t really bother to answer our questions expect one that gave us the car and was super friendly. Other than that it was okay.

First of all, we sincerely apologize if the attitude of our staff at the desk was not as welcoming and helpful as it should be. Providing a friendly environment is a strict company policy, and we are sorry we fell short. We are, however, glad to hear that the agent who handed over your car provided a great experience.
Regarding the insurance costs, we would like to clarify that our staff is trained to thoroughly explain the rental terms, including what is and isn't included in your reservation. Please note that when a reservation is made through a third-party broker, any coverage purchased online is a direct agreement between you and the broker. Locauto does not have visibility into those third-party policies.
At the desk, our agents may propose our own extra coverages to ensure maximum peace of mind, but you are always completely free to choose whether or not to purchase them.
We have taken note of your comments to improve our communication and training. We truly hope to have the chance to welcome you back in the future for a much better experience.

This is the worst car hire company I’ve ever had to deal with; they were rude to my wife, then laughed behind the counter and tried to force us to take out extra insurance...
I’ve already told all my friends who are planning to go to Sicily to steer well clear of your services!

A very good car rental company.
Everything went smoothly without any problems. I rented the car through the DiscoverCars app. At the airport reception desk, the employee informed me that it would be better to purchase insurance directly from Locauto, even though I already had full insurance coverage. I politely declined.
The Peugeot 2008 was a very nice car, with approximately 65,000 kilometres on the odometer. It was well maintained, with only a few scratches and scuff marks.
I think I will use Locauto’s services again in the future.
