Everything was working well
The booking was easy and fast. No queues at all at Pisa airport and the car was delivered quickly. One door was badly damaged by earlier customers but that was clearly documented and did not cause any issues. Also car return to Bologna was working well and reasonably quickly.

Wrong car size and poor condition / smell.
Did not have the size/type of car i ordered - the car i was given was a long estate model instead of the compact SUV i ordered. The passenger seat had a stain on it, there was a stale smell and the car should have been retired given it's shabby condition. I raised this when i returned and they offered 25 euros compensation - which was nowhere near enough given i had parking issues for the week. Would not use again - trash firm

Very positive experience
The sales representative was very friendly and helpful. When we told her where we were leaving from she suggested a closer return location which was super helpful and saved us time and money. The cars was clean and comfortable.

Overall I suppose it was ok but I didn’t get the car I expected, it was an expensive rental and I was a hour early for pickup and the staff wanted to charge me another days rental which is ridiculous while the car is sitting there

We apologize for any disappointment regarding the vehicle you received. We would like to clarify that, as is standard in the car rental industry, reservations guarantee a specific car category (size, capacity, and features) rather than a specific make or model, based on fleet availability at the time of pick-up.
Regarding the extra day charge, our rates are calculated on a strict 24-hour daily basis starting from the moment the car is collected. Picking up the vehicle an hour earlier than scheduled moves your 24-hour window forward. To avoid being charged for an additional day, the car would also need to be returned an hour earlier at the end of the rental to stay within the agreed daily period.
We are truly sorry if our team’s explanation at the counter came across in a negative way; it was certainly not our intention to cause any frustration.
We appreciate your comments as they help us improve our communication, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a smoother experience in the future.

Car hire
Nice car spotlessly clean. Very pleasant staff both at the check-in desk and at pick-up point 60meters away. Check in was quick and easy. This is the third time we have used this company and I would recommend them to anyone.

Easy, honest and efficient
I have used Locauto in multiple occasions. The staff are efficient and polite and in my experience do not look for faults nor reasons to make additional charges. In Pisa their car lot is directly opposite the rental centre making it a few yards walk from the desk to your car.

Great car
Great car, new Fiat 600 hybrid. Great mileage and navigation. We needed to change our drop off point from Milano to Rome. They made it super easy.
But don’t make the mistake that we did. We missed the last gas station before entering the Rome airport craziness. So we returned it 1/3 full. We knew we would pay a premium but on top of that is a 50 euro penalty! Steep. But customer service was very kind and professional.
