With respect to preparing for car-travel from Rome to more than a few locations both north and south, it was a preference for us to engage a car rental business with both competitive pricing and a location close to our accommodations in the city.

With these criteria in play, our research options led to serious initial consideration of a well known private rental agency within easy walking distance.

Subsequently, with completion of out-of-country flight booking, a search of flight-related car rental offers brought the Viale Europa 321 Locauto office-location to our attention with its offer of less than half the per-day rental price for the same vehicle preference.

With respect to making such a commitment by way of a third party: as persons used to confirming reservations personally by phone, (even as, in this instance, our choosing to digitally reserve by way of an airline's car rental affiliation seemed less certain), we found the airline's immediate and thorough booking-confirmation response encouraging.

Thus proceeding with the Locauto offer, we were satisfied that, even with the additional expense of a short cab ride for car-pick-up purposes, such savings justified the further purchase-reassurance of supplemental insurance.

As for our in-person contacts with Locauto, Viale Europa 321, office staff: (made all the more accommodating with willing and fluent language adjustments), all aspects of shared contractual obligations - initial driver registration and car-return processing; along with joint car-status-checks on both car pick-up-and-drop-off ends - proved courteous and thorough for all parties concerned.

As for 'above and beyond' responses to unexpected circumstances: four days prior to our end-of-work-week vehicle drop-off date, it came to our attention that on that day, due to intended employee strikes, Rome would be experiencing a city-wide shut-down of both public and some private means of transportation.

Seeking advice regarding transportation from Viale Europa 321 to Fiumicino airport for that Friday, our making email contact with designated office service-personnel provided the following successful results:

* receipt of recommended options for available transport means along with noted pricing;

* an offer to make reservations of our choosing;

* patience with respect to our subsequent consideration of these options; and then,

* prompt and effective booking of our choice of private taxi transport reservation.

Really fast service
It was a pleasure to get a car just in few minutes next to the door of office without any excessive pape work. The location of EURoffice is ideal if you want to go outside Rome.

We arrived at the agency on Viale Europa 321, we were greeted with a smile, processed everything quickly and gave us the car key. The staff who take of us was very corteous and professional. I think his name is Alessandro and forgive me if I don't remember. The car was comfortable, ran smoothly and was the ideal car to travel long distance with family. From now on, we will only rent from Locauto in Viale Europa. Keep it up, guys!

Clear website - easy booking (also in English fortunately) - many options - helpful en friendly people - easy going - great and clean car - fast and check-in and check-out clearance.
Much more cost worthy than any other (bigger) car rental company. Simply great.

Very convenient, prompt and friendly service

Locauto were a fair value, trustworthy rental company. Would use again.

We were staying at the Eurocamp just south of EUR, which I think is the strange name of this leafy, green district of Rome, like a much nicer Croydon.

You can hire from here and drop off at the airport, too.

The only unusual thing was that the "known damage" on the car when I picked it up, were mostly tiny rubs and marks on top of the paint that would polish out. I don't know if the previous customer was pedantic or the guy that worked there.

Personale gentile, efficiente e preparato. Automobili in ottimo stato e pulitissime.

It was a small car with a good performance.
