I was charged for the insurance policies which I never asked to buy, without my knowledge and consent. I only wanted the car and body protection coverage for my rental. But the girl at the counter billed for Theft Protection and Collision Damage Waiver without my consent. This was noticed by me when I returned the vehicle as they don’t issue any bills at the point of the first transaction. Misleading and inappropriate behavior for such a company.

Despite the good attitude of both the lady at the rental desk in Rome and of the person at the drop off in Pisa airport, I would have expected:
1. A much more customer satisfaction focused attitude from the person who actually handled the car (seemed annoyed I didn’t like the ‘or similar’ he proposed, nor he seemed too willing to provide alternatives (even if I was open to upgrade).
2. More car options
3. The car had low tyre pressure and little gas so I had to take care of this part.

The young lady in the office was very efficient and professional.

Do not rent from Locauto! We booked an expensive Audi A3 as we wanted an nice car to tour around. When we showed up, they gave us a Fiat 500. The same Fiat was renting for about 200 euros less than the Audi. Typical bait and switch. While I understand that the car is not guaranteed, to try to say that an Audi and a Fiat are "Similar" is ridiculous. And, the cost discrepancy should have been refunded.

Locauto charged me a high value of charges which were not my responsibilty.

the car was not full of gas and brought it back with more gas than started. I’ve yet to get a credit for. The people at the desk were great though.

I booked from booking.com and payed full price, then when I arrived Locauto charged me +80€ that I wasn’t expecting. The car was small, noisy, too small with no rear cam, the tray to cover the luggage was broken so I couldn’t left the car on the street

Last night I returned a rental car to the Locauto car park at Rome Fiumicino Airport. As explained earlier, there are no employees to receive the car at night, so I parked the car myself, took a video of the car from all sides to show that the car was undamaged and put the keys in a special key box.In the morning I received an email that the employees had found new scratches on the front bumper and that I would be charged 315 euros. Before picking up the car, I also filmed and recorded all existing damage to the car. The existing damage and scratches to the front bumper were recorded in the checklist. I did not make any new scratches on the car.I have not received any response to my comments on this matter and my request to send photos and videos of new scratches. I consider these actions to be fraud on the part of Locauto. I was previously told by my friends who also used Locauto rental services that they are dishonest and practice such deception, but I did not attach any importance to this. I definitely do not recommend this company Locauto. Beware of these scammers

Both my son and I rented a be T roc “ or similar” according to the site. Even though there was a t roc on site when we picked up our vehicles, we were given a vw golf and a Cupra Leon.. these vehicles are not “similar” in boot space which caused us a lot of issues in trying to pack our bags.
I reached out to the third party platform which (economy car rental) and it seems I’m not getting anywhere with my complaint

Easy check in and great value. Good car. Checout / return in Milan was a bit difficult to find based on the online instructions.

While renting the car, a warning message came up advising that oil needed to be added. I sent an email to Locauto with a photo of the problem and they told me to add oil and give them a receipt to be reimbursed when I returned the car. I had to go out of my way to find the special oil required by the Audi vehicle and made sure to get the receipt for €25.00. I had purchased the roadside plus coverage, but apparently that only covers towing, not issues with the vehicle: this was not explained to me when I picked the vehicle up. When I returned the vehicle at a separate location in Milan, they refused to offer any reimbursement, because the receipt didn't show an itemized breakdown of the expenses with the oil, for which I would have had to request a special receipt. When I later emailed the location where I picked the car up in Rome, they said that since the account was closed, it would be too late to reimburse anything, and to contact customer service. Later, when I pulled up all the information and contacted customer service, explaining that I had emailed a photo of the problem, which had clearly gone away, they said there was nothing they could do, and I could email them back an itemized receipt, which would be impossible for me to obtain. I feel like I went out of my way to take care of their vehicle and then they threw the book at me rather than pay for the oil I added. This is clearly a problem with rigid company policy, as all the staff I worked seemed honest and friendly.

Full coverage overcharged. I hope that the location and guidance of the vehicle pickup will be more friendly to unfamiliar travelers. It was so hard to pick up the car. The office and parking lot were too far apart. It would have been nice if they escorted us directly to the parking lot.
