We made a last minute decision to rent a car from Locauto in Siracusa. Federico in the Siracusa office was very polite and professional throughout and was able to get us into a good standard of vehicle the next day. Unfortunately, we had a flat battery one morning due to an interior light being left on, but Federico was able to help us get a breakdown truck out very quickly as we do not speak Italian and we were back up and running within a couple of hours of finding the problem. Although not ideal to have a flat battery, these things do happen and it was the response to it that was important to us and prompted me to write a positive review.

A very good experience from start to finish. We were apprehensive about the whole car hire scene after having read so many horror stories. But Federico in Siracusa was top-notch: very friendly, helpful and professional. We had a comfortable car - VW T-ROC - and a stress-free pickup and drop off. Thank you, we'll certainly use LOCAUTO again.

The best customer service ! We picked our car from Syracuse and dropped off at catania airport. We were having difficulties with other rental company and Locauto was so accommodating super easy to talk and I would highly recommend them and would definitely book with them again!

After our Europcar rental booking was rejected because I didn't have an international drivers license, we walked into Locauto around the corner and drove off 30 minutes later. Great service, good price.

Always a good experience. Big issue closing at lunchtime on Saturday and no open on Sunday meaning difficult to rent just for FRi / Sat. Cars could be cleaner ...pricey for 1 day at over €100

All fine, except that the tank was only a little over 3/4 full, which i didn't notice until we had left the city.
With photo evidence and after a call to the office, I was confident they absolutely would be fine with me returning the car with an equivalent amount of gas in the tank. However, due to the involvement of a guy at the gas station and me not handling the filling up myself, I returned the car nearly full.
Upon returning the car (different location), I was met with sympathy, but there was not that much that could be done about it, as everything was already paid for. I guess I get that and had I been able to stop the filling up in time, I would probably have given 4 or 5 stars.
As it stands, I'm a little annoyed that I threw away some money, and feel that checking the fuel level before releasing the car to a new customer is easy.

Locauto were super easy to deal with. I booked directly with them and didn’t have to pay anything until we picked up the car. On the day we were able to switch cars for an automatic which was brilliant for some of the steep and windy roads in Sicily. Pick up (Siracusa) and drop off (Palermo Airport) was very easy and the staff were a delight to deal with..
