Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!
Freshness has always been at the heart of what we do. We bake around the clock to ensure our customers receive the very best cupcakes and cakes for every occasion. A commitment that still defines who we are today.
We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. Don’t store it too long or it will have a carton taste
We ordered your Oreo Cake for my son’s birthday. It was very nice presented, in a very sturdy box so it was protected.
We ordered it one day before the party.
Children loved the Oreos on top but it was too sweet for adults and it had a slight taste of the carton base… So maybe it would be a good idea to protect the base with plastic or waxed paper in case the cake has to be stored. Apart from that we were satisfied with it and will order again for sure.

The icing is divine but it can be hit…
The icing is divine but it can be hit and miss! One day last week I got it and was proper butter cream, this occasion wasn't so good! But I love the cakes, in particular the hazelnut chocolate cupcake is the best.

I am glad to hear that you were happy with the decoration of your cake.
I am sorry to hear that you found your cake to be too sweet.
I can see that you ordered our Disney Lilo & Stitch cake with a double chocolate filling.
This cake is decorated with a buttercream icing and uses a chocolate buttercream in the filling.
Our buttercream is our sweetest icing type, this can sometimes be too sweet for some depending on your taste but I will pass this feedback onto our team.
We might recommend trying one of our cakes featuring a cream cheese or mascarpone icing in the future as these are not as sweet and may be more to your taste.
