Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!
Freshness has always been at the heart of what we do. We bake around the clock to ensure our customers receive the very best cupcakes and cakes for every occasion. A commitment that still defines who we are today.
We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. Lazy rude and nonchalant staff
I have used the station Lolas in central london many times. The staff are consistently rude and unbothered. I politely informed customer services who were apologetic but didn’t get back to me or take any action. If you’re charging extortionate prices for a cake at least train your staff. Always attitude. This company doesn’t care about complaints even if you persist. I love their cakes but the service doesn’t match the price. It’s essentially a luxury item yet you get treated like you shouldn’t be there. All the positive reviews here seem to be consistent so I’m guessing they are purchased reviews as I have seen this consistently over 6 months. They are offhand, rude and lazy around on their phones. They have no pride or consequence in what they do. I wish the company would focus on its staff. Specifically, if you ask a question they consistently reply nonchalantly. I get that it’s boring but you chose to work at least make it pleasant. I’m now going to hummingbird at least the service matches the cake.

I am so sorry your experience in store and talking to our Customer Services team was not the level expected, please be assured we will be passing this feedback onto the Senior Management for the store.
We do not tell customer's of any disciplinary action as this is dealt with privately within the store with their Manager.
We do not purchase our reviews I do want to clarify and most are made after a prompt email when a customer has received their order, we want to check it all went well.

The cake wasn't too sweet but indulgent enough for a birthday celebration.
Highly recommend Lola's cupcakes if you're celebrating an event and want good quality cakes.

Poor handling of product, cupcakes smooshed
I ordered the mini Christmas cupcakes and they had all fallen over as if someone had jostled the boxes. Rang the next day to get some replacement ones as they were for an event but they would only provide 1 replacement box when I had originally ordered 4!

Cake was really amazing! We had the Llama and it was beautiful. Team was really helpful as last minute I diverted it from my collection location to deliver at home the next day. Great service!
