Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!
Freshness has always been at the heart of what we do. We bake around the clock to ensure our customers receive the very best cupcakes and cakes for every occasion. A commitment that still defines who we are today.
We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. I went to lolas they couldn't find my account. So annoying, standing around them not knowing what to do including manager. Plus the cupcakes are over rating, you could get better tasty cupcakes elsewhere. Taste not all that. Noting to wow for.

Amazing tasting cakes and excellent customer service from the store in Birmingham Selfridges, made sure to find a compromise when I wasn’t able to have a specific design of cake in advance of a birthday party (due to the gluten free baker only being able to design specific cakes)

Sickly sweet. Has the recipe changed?
Has the recipe changed? We used to get them quite often when we were living in London. However, we’ve not had them since 2023, when we moved to Manchester (no nearby stores). We recently bought a few from their Birmingham store and they were awfully and sickly sweet. Not a lot of taste other than very sugary.

We are always evolving and trying to make our recipes better, we will pass on your feedback about the sweetness.
If you prefer items to be less sweet we do recommend our cream cheese items as they need less sugar in their recipe.

Another delicious cake from Lola’s (chocolate heaven) 😋 we have ordered from them for a few years now as they have a great range of cake’s full of flavour & look the part. My personal favourite has to be the Eton mess 🥰 and as for deliveries they have always been on time no issues. I would definitely recommend. Blessings

Amazinh gluten free cakes in England
Ahhh I love Lola's gluten free cupcakes..they are amazing specially cookies and creams ones..this time i tried carrot cake and that was soooo good too...I can have them every single day and never get tired of eating them..but have to be careful with weight too🥲

Mouldy Cake
The cake we ordered had mould on the fruit, all the strawberries were mouldy and smelt terrible. Was very disappointed considering we ordered way in advance and collected on the day we ordered it for.

My Gluten Free Cupcakes
I love LOLA'S GLUTEN FREE cakes, but, this time both cakes had after taste. And made me a little sick. This is why I gave 3*'s.
Being ceoliac, it was difficult to find good GF Cakes. And, now it looks like still difficult to find Gluten Free Cakes.

Amazing experience with this company
Amazing experience with this company. I was served by the lovely Penny in Selfridges at The Bullring. She went above and beyond to find me a suitable cake that I needed urgently the next day. Nothing was too much trouble for her and Penny herself was a delight. I will absolutely return the next time I need a cake, which by the way are delicious!
