Up from Somerset, we were enjoying my birthday by visiting art galleries. In the evening we booked a black cab to take us to Yaatra, the old Westminster fire station, on Greycote Place. Our driver, Robert, was delightful, and mentioned that he was going round the corner for a cuppa afterwards.
Only when we got into the restaurant did we realise that my husband had left his wallet in the cab! I dashed out but Robert had left.
When another black taxi pulled up I asked the driver's advice and he thought he might know the cafe. He took me to the the Astral cafe, no fare, and there I found Robert who discovered the wallet!
The second driver (wish I knew his name) then drove me back to the restaurant, flatly refusing any payment. That lovely man made our evening.

My child had an appointment at gosh ( great ormand street hospital) and with all the worrying an stress getting there, a wonderful guy called rob reached out and offered to take us to the hospital. It gave us time to prepare and not be so anxious about the appointment. I really truly great full to rob for helping us out. You have me hope there is kind nice people still out there in this world. Thank you once again rob for your kindness and helping us out. Merry Christmas

We had the pleasure of riding with Nicky twice in 2025. Once during the Flower Show and now in early December. Everything was great. The cab was clean and he made sure to remind us to wear our seatbelts. He went out of his way to get us to several areas outside London. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

If you are looking for the best Black Taxi service then you just found it. From booking through to drop off you get the complete excellent service ; confirmation, communication, pick up, punctuality, professional but friendly and courteous driver, nice vehicles well driven, all done very well and efficiently plus as a bonus they really do care about their clients. No need to search further just try them and you wont regret it.

Chris, the driver, went out of his way to call both me and my mum to ensure I got the wallet back and came to deliver it back to my house. Pure rip off! They gave an estimate of the coast, then they took the longest route (28 mile instead of 14miles) possible and they charged me twice the amount. Never again! Just take an uber instead.

I can't rate LondonBlackTaxi.co.uk high enough. We have recently found ourselves in a new world with my Mum needing a wheelchair due to mobility issues and for the moment not being able to get into a car seat as normal. In my searching for solutions I found the lovely Leigh and team at LBT (this is a specific small company not to be confused with the general black taxi's) from my initial conversation about what I needed (or rather my rambly blurb) I felt really reassured that we'd be able to get Mum out. My cousin and family came from Ireland for a visit to Legoland and we were able to take Mum.
When you book and you receive confirmation of your journey, you are guaranteed a driver. We were fortunate to have the fabulous Ozzie who was excellent with Mum and we had a lovely conversation during our trip. He was also going to be taking us home and was thoughtful enough to check if we wanted to leave earlier due to the weather.
I would have no hesitation booking again.

I found black very expensive for a 5min ride 15 pounds for uber 7 pounds never again will I make this mistake again 😅
