I do not believe that the frozen ravioli has actual ricotta cheese or any true cheese. I was shocked and disgusted by the taste of this product. Longos? How? Never again. Will always go with Ontar... See more

I'd give this a fat Zero if there's an option to select it. We bought the Lasagna from Longos on Highway 7/Warden and we're completely disappointed! Not only did it take 100 hours (exaggerating here)... See more

militant practices at Longos has lost…

militant practices at Longos has lost me as a long time customer. the mask wearing aside (I can deal with that to protect others) but the bossy and rude behaviour of the workers reminds me of border crossing guards. They bark orders, impolite at the registers, no friendliness at all. I go to Farmboy and they all say hello, ask politely to use hand sanitizer etc. I even saw them turn away a mom and young child due to only one person in the store at a time rule and an elderly woman with a helper. so rude. Will boycott now.

Your mandatory mask policy is nothing…

Your mandatory mask policy is nothing more than smarmy marketing optics and a proactive response to avoid future legal responsibilities. It is a violation of my religious freedom and civil liberties. If you politely asked shoppers to wear a mask, I'm sure you would get a better response, but to be told that it is now mandatory, is ridiculous. This is still Canada, right?

What happens when a customer refuses to wear the mask or takes the mask off inside the store? Are you going to call the police and have them arrested?

A paper dental mask won't protect you from anything, this is all optics on the part of Longo's. What middle management corporate executive in the corner office thought up this stupid scheme?

wearing masks won’t prevent you catching covid19 !

Longos seems to feel they can make their own rules these days. There are mandates passed by public health to prevent the spread of the virus we are all fighting. It is simple — wash your hands, socially distance and stay home if you are ill. Wearing masks may help some people feel more secure but won’t prevent them from contracting the virus if other precautions aren’t adhered to. If anything mask wearing gives people a false sense of security. If Longos really wants to do their part to keep customers safe in their stores they would have hand sanitizer readily available at entrances and exits, make room in their cramped space ( aisles in their stores tend to be narrower than other chains ) have a monitored bank line for check out.
Customers don’t need the added aggravation of mask wearing! We can shop elsewhere!

Longo’s has become one of the most…

Longo’s has become one of the most disreputable grocery chains in Ontario. During this supposed Covid 19 crisis on top of long lines and over priced goods now the Longo’s stores are making it mandatory that all guests wear face masks while the World Health Organization and Canadian public health officials have staunchly advised against the widespread use of face masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In Canada, however, public health officials have maintained that healthy individuals do not need to wear a mask out in public and that face coverings may even give people a false sense of security. Longos is attempting to FORCE its customers to wear face masks which is just another example of there attempt to eliminate our human rights.
I have spoken to hundreds of individuals online who will no longer shop at any of these locations moving forward. Lets ALL spread the word!

Disappointed

We have been Longo’s customers for a very very long time and have enjoyed the quality of your products. Sadly we have grown more and more disappointed with the maple leaf location downtown. While I applaud you for having customers wear masks, I can’t believe how stingy you are with hand sanitizers which keep us all safe and healthy. You have senior hours which get us to your store at 7 am only to find the veggie section isn’t fully stocked until 9. We appreciate it’s not easy but are finding it harder to continue being loyal customers particularly when we feel our comments and suggestions aren’t being heard.

Longs taking advantage of these current challenging times

My family and I have been shopping in Longos for many many years .. to day we went there for our weekly shopping and we discovered the prices were out of sight .. yes we did find Toilet paper at a reasonable price but everything else had gone up- for example a cabbage was priced $8.12 vegetable prices were by 200% for smaller packages .. and many other items .. in these challenging times you expect your local merchants would help their regular customers and not take advantage of them .. shame on you ..

I live at Imperial Plaza and shop multiple times daily at Longo's.
The staff at this location are superb! The produce is fresh and having Starbucks and their wonderful staff is a bonus!
The floor department at this location is outstanding. The selection is always fresh, with lots of selection. Valentine's Day the store was over flowing with the most beautiful arrangements and friendly staff to wrap.
I don't shop anywhere else!

I go at least 3x per week to Longos on Dundas/Trafalgar specifically to purchase fresh produce. Steve in your produce dept is always so helpful. I feel he has gone above and beyond for me when needed, finding certain produce at your other store when I needed them, when his location was out of them and I needed them ASAP! It’s service like that which keeps me going to that specific store! I also use the pharmacy preferring them to bigger drugstores. The personal friendly service/advice they give can’t be beat!

We are prepared to drive an extra 15…

We are prepared to drive an extra 15 minutes to shop at Longo's. We find their meat, poultry, fish and cheese excellent. We can consistently find produce on their shelves that we can't find elsewhere AND there is a decent organic selection. I find the staff generally helpful and have always had my requests fulfilled. We really enjoy dealing with Ruth in the cheese department at the Mt. Pleasant location in Brampton. She is very knowledgeable, helpful and she seems proud of her job, which she performs with enthusiasm. Several times she has gone out of her way to engage with us and to offer suggestions. Relationships are as important to us as price and quality, so dealing with a professional who cares and who we feel we can trust is a big part of what brings us back to Longos. I do find that we spend a bit more by shoppping at Longos, but we're willing to pay for quality and selection.

Miss Micheal Angelo

I am reviewing the hot food department
The staff is quite rude and the food station is not keep tidy.
The cashiers are quite friendly. Customer service desk could use more training.
I am not happy at all shopping in your store.
I am looking for a better store, such as Farm Boys

Gaetane

I'm writing strictly about in-store bakery items.

I'm writing strictly about your in-house bakery items. Cookies are usually stale, dry and variety is limited; every bread I've tried, except 9 grains has been tasteless; carrot muffins bought yesterday are so bad they are now in the compost bin. I bet you outsource the making of these but I implore you to taste this stuff and find a new supplier. No store of Longo's calibre should be selling crap like this, and at such high prices, I should add.

Dishonest Company

This is a very dishonest grocery store.  It comes from the top with Anthony Longo the owner and CEO not even responding to e-mails or phone messages.  His assistant Mary was nice but did nothing at all to help.  His staff is encouraged to lie to get sales.  We like male lobsters due to disliking the roe female lobsters have.  The female who sold us most of the 8 lobsters we bought said she can tell the difference between male and female lobsters and that all the ones we bought were male.  We said they HAVE to be male.  She passed it to another guy to go to the back to get larger ones and he said he could tell the difference too and sold us male lobsters according to him.  Imagine the shock when the one I ate was FEMALE.  We froze the rest.  It took a long time to get these during day 1of their 2 day sale and their solution was to give back all for a refund and end up with none, probably to resell old lobsters even if it would make customers ill.

I should add it took long since they state 26 -36oz for the same price lobster (flat rate) but in actuality NONE are close to 36 oz, even taking into account steaming.  I made them get me larger than what they had up in the front but still ended up with nothing close to their upper limit which they do not seem to have at all.  False advertising in my opinion.

Longo's is saying they can't guarantee gender but their staff DID when they sold us them, saying they WERE all male and that they CAN tell the difference.  Stay away from this dishonest store.  They do not care about their customers.

My personal experience

Flower section half empty, was told staff is at meeting. Wondering what about having some common sense to run the business? Busy Monday, stocks are half empty, customers are physically in your store, your meeting is very important? Assuming you are conducting business strategy meeting. Sad experience!

I love this store

I think it is the best grocery store we have in Mississauga.

I love to buy there and the page is very good. Their customer service is the best and the people really care about the company.

I would recommend buying here.
