No sign of order....customer service say they have changed their system and can't tell me when my order will be processed. Should have just bought within UK. Lesson learned.

I payed for my Kevlar jeans and hoodie…
I payed for my Kevlar jeans and hoodie a total of £330 and the money came out of my account, Yet the product was never even sent and it took multiple days of chasing the order and I am yet to receive a refund even though they have received proof of payment.
Ordered a difficult to find SP Connect…
Ordered a difficult to find SP Connect Pixel 10 Pro case on 1st Dec, Louis had it in stock. Arrived all the way from Germany on 8th Dec. Amazing service. No customs charges. One very happy customer! I will definitely buy from Louis Moto again. Recommended A+++++++
Had a great experience, much cheaper than uk
Had a great experience, prompt shipping that was tracked and quickly dispatched. Jacket was well packaged and as described, customs and import duty was refunded as advised on the website within around 2 weeks of receiving item. This has saved me over £100 on uk pricing. Very happy will be using them again.
I had a really good experience with these lads
I don't know why people say "terrible experience"... I actually paid for an helmet over the weekend and got it today (Tuesday). Very fast, very professional and the quality is amazing. I'm really happy and satisfied 😌 ☺️
Thanks
Crap products, crap customer service
Sold me some Kellermann Bullet adaptors which corroded and snapped at the thread after 9 months. Sent the photos where it showed obvious poor quality metal.
First I was accused of lying about the damage (even though they had seen the pictures), I was then questioned if the adaptors had been exposed to moisture and that they couldnt understand why they had corroded.
I explained that a motorcycle is a form of transport and will therefore get wet. Which I thought was obvious. In the process of the adaptors snapping they damaged the expensive Kellermann indicators, which they refused to compensate me for. I requested a refund for the adaptors several times and they have tried to avoid doing this in every email response I have recieved.
I have since been offered vouchers for their shop but I have no wish to use their store ever again after this episode.
Terrible customer service and cheap, shoddy accessories. Steer clear of the Gazzini products and this store. They don't care as long as they have your money.
Terrible experience
I've had some bad experience with this company in the past, so it is on me. Ordered brake and clutch reservoirs, the shipping was the 3rd of the price. Clutch reservoir was on backorder until the end of the month, so I was prepared to wait. They shipped brake reservoir and cancelled the clutch one, no prior communication or a ok from me. I am not going to pay through the nose for the shipping twice. Going to return and get it from elsewhere as a set, auf wiedersehen, and hope I won't make this mistake again.
Won’t get fooled again
After waiting over two weeks for a set of panniers I arrived home to find a letter from customs, DO NOT fall for the .co.uk this appears to only be in place to fool you into believing that it’s a UK operation, you WILL GET STUNG FOR CHARGES!
In my case with these charges the panniers will end up £80 more expensive than from sportsbikeshop.co.uk
Which is where I, and you should order from in the future.
WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN
The customer service attitude is very…
The customer service attitude is very arrogant. Items are fine but the attitude is not.
5 Stars for Louis Moto, 0 Stars for HMRC/ParcelForce
Without getting into too much detail on the downsides of Brexit, ordering goods from Europe now attracts duty and VAT. However, Louis Moto charge UK VAT at the point of sale which should then avoid being double charged VAT when your order arrives in the UK and goes through customs. Despite this, my order got pulled by UK customs and despite the UK VAT already being paid, HMRC incorrectly charged me again through ParcelForce. They won't deliver your parcel until these charges are paid and because ParcelForce are so behind the times, they write to you with the charges rather than just email you. So, your parcel sits in a ParcelForce depot for up to week before you get the letter that explains how to pay! You wont be able to challenge these charges with ParcelForce as they will just say they are a middle man for HMRC. However, they are happy to charge you a handling fee which is a total scam IMHO. I want to make it clear that none of this is the fault of Louis Moto. Louis provided all the correct and necessary paperwork and my order should have sailed through customs. As other reviews have intimated, this is HMRC not doing their job properly and ParcelForce enforcing incorrect VAT and Duty charges.
Louis Moto were as good as their word and with a little bit of nudging, they refunded me all the VAT and Duty charges as promised on their website. My order arrived in perfect condition and the boots I ordered were considerably cheaper than I could buy them anywhere in the UK. So in sum, I had a great experience with Louis Moto and they do exactly what they promise on their website.
Great Service, Prices and Good to Their Promise
My purchase was 2 x SHAD S36 panniers and inner bags. When compared to the best UK price I could find Louis were £75 cheaper .... assuming there were no unrecoverable Customs Duties imposed which was my big concern !
Talked to Louis UK who assured me that in such an event then Louis would refund any duties paid by myself and as per their website claim I would pay no more than advertised price for the items.
Their invoice clearly states that UK VAT has already been paid and even quotes the Louis UK VAT however despite this our over zealous / stupid / illiterate (take your pick) Customs folks proceeded to apply an £82 Customs fee which must be paid to ParcelForce before the parcel is released to the customer.
I reluctantly paid this charge to a very apologetic and sympathetic ParcelForce employee and then emailed Louis attaching the relevant documents and sure enough 5 working days later the full amount paid was refunded to my account.
The Louis website is excellent, the prices are great, they promptly answered my emails and most importantly if you are a UK customer they honoured their promise to refund any incorrectly applied UK Customs charges.
So, a big thumbs up to Louis and an apology on behalf of our incompetent UK Customs organisation.
Will certainly use Louis again.
Multiple purchases and no problems
I've bought several items from Louis and never had any issues with delivery to the UK or cost, they tend to be much cheaper than UK shops and we should all be asking why.
Ordering, tracking and delivery is regularly updated and only once, with this last order, did I get charged customs fees- UK vat was charged, maybe by an over zealous customs officer seeing as Louis are UK vat registered and I'd paid vat on the item already.
No problem, I sent proof of the charge and the payment to Louis and they refunded in full within a few days.
Don't forget, politicians put the red tape in the way of trade, Louis are trying to work with that and in my experience over several purchases they do so fairly and efficiently and on this last purchase alone, over £100 cheaper than the nearest UK price.
I'll use them again, no worries
Good but ALL UK buyers (please read).
For all UK buyers (please read).
There are a good mix of good and bad reviews but as long as you are aware of what will happen you should be satisfied. The website is a bit misleading though and you will see 'We refund all import duties' and also 'All prices include statutory VAT and include customs duty (Great Britain) excluding £8.35 shipping costs for Great Britain.
Free delivery on orders over £199.00.'
Well, I ordered my boots at £257 (you'll be billed the equiv in EURs so your card company will charge small exchange fee). That's ok.
Then when the goods arrived in the UK I was charged £43 import duties, £12 UK handling and £60 in UK Vat! (VAT isn't charged for goods under £135). Bit of a shock as the website makes it sound like there will be import duties only.
The link on their site to claiming Vat goes to a company called Global Blue but they cannot help with online purchases!
I accepted the handling charge but emailed Louis about the import duty and UK VAT. Their site says they will refund Import duties but from their invoice they have a UK VAT registration so I asked for the VAT back too. I was expecting a fight but impressively they refunded both the VAT and Import duties about a week later to my card.
So I paid the £257 + £12 handling + £small foreign exchange fee. Still a lot cheaper than buying in a UK shop but a little more hassle than expected.
Customer service is good and product was good quality. Overall good experience but go into this with your eyes open as their website is confusing.
My helmet was held by customs and I had…
My helmet was held by customs and I had to pay £50 to get it delivered. Louis was good to it's word and refunded me the money the next day. Thank you.. will buy again.
Do not buy from these crooks!
Do not buy from these crooks!! I bought a helmet from them and incurred a £70 + import charge that I had to pay prior to Parcel Force delivering. Not a problem I thought as they "pay back all associated import fees" over 2 months later I still haven't had the money back. They told me I'd get it in a few days, I've e-mailed without reply, I finally gave up and rang them the week before last, customer service guy said he was going to come back to me, still waiting and still no money. Avoid at all costs!
Possibly the slowest shipping ever
The only reason this isn't 1 star is because the prices are good..
However as of writing this, I ordered an item a week ago which they had as in stock, it still hasn't even been posted yet. I received an email updating me 6 days after ordering that they will tell me when it has been handed to the delivery service.. Still waiting for that
UK Duty paid is not true!
They're website stats that UK VAT is paid, but it isn't and I had to pay along with a service charge to get it released for delivery.
They also state that any import charges incurred will be refunded, but they haven't, they have just stopped communicating.
Don't get conned, buy from the UK!!!
Parcel is held by Parcelfirce
My parcel is held by Parcelforce pending payment of customs charges. Louis Moto’s website stated that all tax and duty will be paid by Louis which is obviously not true. I’m not interested in dealing with Parcelforce or Customs so trying to cancel the order and get my money back. Next time I’ll buy from a UK retailer
I orderd a few bits from here and then…
I orderd a few bits from here and then was told I need to pay import tax and they would refund me for it and then decided not to get back to me about it the import tax was 115 pound witch is extortion not happy at all will never be goin to this company again
postage isn't cheap if you need a small item
I need a small part it was 83p when i went to order it the postage was £8.99 using DHL. The item will fit in a padded envelope and weigh nothing. Why not offer royal mail as well? Im not paying £9 to post a 83p item
I've had a great experience with Louis…
I've had a great experience with Louis Motorrad buying from the UK. Reading some other reviews I was nervous to be charged customs etc, but all went through super easy. Delivery was fast, considering it comes from Germany (about a week). I ordered a jacket in two sizes - kept one and sent the other one back. Return was easy to arrange and I got the refund in full.
