From day 1 things did just not go well. My car Range Rover was collected on the 07/02/23 with a completion date of 27/02/23.
When my car was collected, no courtesy car was provided initially, until I asked despite having rang 1 or 2 days before to confirm. The guy had to ring the office and call the other driver back to give me the car in which they came to collect in. Not exactly a courtesy car as it was a manual and low, I did not expect a like for like but this was nothing like it and it was smelling of cigarettes and very dirty.
As time was progressing the completion date, I was making enquiries but was told that it’s taking a little longer. By this time my MOT had expired on the 04/03/23.
Despite my calls many times I never received a call back, and when you call sometimes you are on hold for long periods. Only once the portal was updated saying there was a problem with the electrics, hence the delay.
I have made so many calls after that to find out the status and all you get told is there is some electrical problem.
Finally I got a call on the 31/03/23 to say you car will be ready on the 05/04/23. On the 03/04/23 I got a call to say we note your MOT is expired and so will not be able to deliver the car, but we can get the car MOT’d for you. I said go ahead but it did not pass. So it cannot be delivered. I then went 11/04/23 I went to collect the car and noticed there was condensation in the rear light where the work was carried out. The garage person said it’s because it was raining. As promised but not carried out, my car was completely dirty and not washed, also you could still see the white marks around where it was polished after the repair work was completed. My fuel light was on and it only had a few miles range on it. First thing I had to do was find a petrol station and fill up, not easy when you are out of town.
Lastly my car keys which are a sealed unit has been broken. All the covers just came off.
Overall one of the worst experiences I have ever had, and would not recommend this company at all.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO LOVELLS / PRONTO. Is the best advice i can give you based on my experience. October 2021 initial works. Finally have my car back March 2023. I was not happy with the initial repairs, and new damage to the car appeared whilst the repairs were undertaken. Lovells had the car back 4 times in total and each time the car was returned there was further unrelated damage to the car. in the end the car was taken to Mercedes for a back to metal respray. This is a very brief description of the situation which until the end lovells were not even apologetic.

Repair was good but shame about the missing sunglasses
Repair was good, shame about the £200+ sunglasses going missing whilst the car was in there possession.
They also gave me a 70plate Skoda that had seen better days, 9000miles past a oil change and service. But beggars can’t be choosers I suppose
Word of warning, remove all valuables from your car before they pick it up. Because you won’t get them back.
Stupid of me to even leave them in there but I was in a rush to get to work after them cancelling my curtesey car the day before. They make you sign a disclaimer saying they won’t be held accountable for anything missing. Speaks for itself really, must have happened before.
An official complaint has been made through my insurance company also, not afraid to go down small claims route. It ain’t the £200 sunglasses it’s the principle

Happy with the repair to my vehicle. Such a shame Lovells did not contact me once in the 2 weeks they had my vehicle to give me an update. Ending up having to drive there to have contact. The reason for only a 3 star rating!

What an excellent company !
What an excellent company, our car was collected on 22/11 and returned to us on 25/11. Ok it wasn’t an extensive repair but I did not expect the car back so quickly. The repair is brilliant and the car was cleaned before I collected it.
All the staff we dealt with at Lovells were professional and courteous.

They had my car for several weeks to replace rear bumper and rear light, as my MOT was due within a day of collecting the car so I asked them to get it done.
When I collected my car the rear light had not been changed, I pointed this out and was told it had been changed. Another member of staff was called and all of a sudden they had ‘forgotten’ to change it. Light was found in their stores and changed. While I was waiting I went to the customer loo, it was absolutely filthy with no soap, loo roll or towel - I didn’t bother to use it.
Asked if their were any advisories on the MOT and was told the person who dealt with it was off but would call me the next day - STILL WAITING a week later. The reception area was very unfriendly and I felt that I was disturbing their afternoon, several members of staff, most of whom did not appear to know what they were doing.
Car repair
Lovells repaired my car after it was hit. They were also very polite and helpful on the phone. They have done such a good job repairing my car, I am very impressed.

Fantastic customer service, high standard work, would definitely recommend
thankfully was sent to this repair shop for insurance purposes. Greeted by Liam who was very polite, smart and friendly also Elmo the manager who came outside to greet me when I arrived. They checked over my car as I was worried about not having everything needed for my repair and I had. Lots of conversations with Elmo From start to finish fantastic brilliant customer service, he let me know if I have any concerns or issues then I could call even before my car was booked in. My car has been fixed in amazing timing ready for me to carry on working in social care. I even had to make a Google email to write this review but needed to as I cannot fault the service. My car looks brand new, cleaned and vallet! Amazing. Thank you Elmo and all of your amazing team! Especially in this hot weather you guys are fabulous! :)

Fiasco

The inconvenience of having my car…
The inconvenience of having my car accidentally damaged was made a lot more bearable by the way Lovells handled the whole repair situation. They kept me updated throughout and were very friendly and efficient. The bodywork on my car is excellent and the car had been cleaned inside and out. Definitely exceeded expectations.
