I bought a pair of hiking boots for my daily walks with my dog in the forest. My first impression was really good. But after half a year the rubber and leather on the nose of my left shoe parted and let water in. Not happy. But Lowa guarantees quality for 12 months or so so I contacted the shop, my shoes were sent to Lowa for inspection and, honestly, I wasn’t worried; this was clearly a production error. Imagine my surprise when my shoes were returned to me, unrepaired, no refund, no replacement because according to Lowa ‘I had used my shoes in a way they should not have been used’ and ‘I had not maintained them accurately’. Shocking! I wálked on my shoes, nothing more, nothing less. I sprayed them when I got them and in this half year I had not used them thát much to feel the urge to spray them again. Now, a year after I bought them (I kept walking on them in dry weather), the left shoe has completely come apart, the right shoe is fine. Time for new ones, but nòt from Lowa.

Great boots great comfort, great customer service and really great help from you guys with a claim of a pair of boots. I cant be happier!

I had a problem with my boots, I emailed Tim at Lowa boots he bent over backwards to help.when I came back from holiday I had a brand new pair of replacement boots waiting for me. Excellent product, outstanding customer service.you can buy these boots in total confidence. Richard Oakes

A total rip-off.
Soles fell apart after a few uses; incredible!

Why are my boots falling apart? I paid good money for these boots,139 euros in the sales. They have failed within one year. The Gore-Tex failed within a couple of months they are absolute rubbish they looked good at the time but obviously they are made out of tissue paper, would not recommend these boots to anyone, these are the only boots that I have at the moment and I have to wear them, I look a right twit walking down the road with all the souls hanging off like a
blinking tramp.They are zasgtx model.Lowa by name, definitely living up to their name Low..

Lowa products are crap. They will fall apart, seperate at the soles, and degrade even quicker-THE LESS YOU WEAR THEM! This is the response I got after trying to submit a warranty claim for my $180 Lowas that look new, but are falling apart after 3 yrs with very little use. Spend your money elsewhere. These are NOT worth it.

I bought a pair of Renegade shoes from Lowa. The shoes have gore-tex coating. Not that, thats a good thing as Gore-tex have been in trouble re: flurocarbons. Unfortunately Lowa were not entirely honest with me regarding where they are made. They are made in Slovakia not Germany. This company needs to be more transparent when it comes to their supply chain. As for the quality of the Renegades...meh not to write home about or justify a cost of about £150. This company must made some big profits. If you remove the insoles you can see some rather crude footwear with numbers scrawled on it from their factory so this demonstrates poor attention to detail.

Outlasted 2 pairs of Lowa Renegade within a period of 5 years. Expected life duration of the shoes is no longer than 3 years. Really low value for money. Disappointed by customer service, no intention to build connection with customers, only focus is to maximize company's revenue. Will never ever buy another pair of Lowas.

This are my favourite boots - very comfortable well made boots. I found the customer services very helpful but I haven't had to report any complaints to them so can't comment on if they are helpful with defects and returns. Boots are fantastic though.

Worst customer service ever. I purchased lowa Renegade boots and after 20 miles in Colorado the soles started separating. Like really?!? Lowa customer service was no help. I demanded they pay for the shipping but they wouldn't budge even though their product is trash. Luckily backcountry helped me out. Terrible Lowa. Shame on you.

I purchased a pair of lowa renegade walking boots on 31 January 2018. I found them to be very comfortable, however, within less than the 2 year warranty supplied through the supplier Alpine Trek they began to leak. Accordingly, I raised a complaint and forwarded numerous photos. I was then asked to send them back to the supplier who told me that they would be sent to the manufacturer and await a report. That report was supplied back to Alpine Trek who informed me that the manufacturer could find no fault in material or process, and that the problem was due to wear and tear but they would make a goodwill offer of 50% of the initial cost. I responded that wear and tear could not be the issue as I had worn them between 12 to 18 times on quite moderate walks and the pictures supplied proved this. My previous Brasher boots had lasted me in excess of 20 years and they had only had the soles replaced once in all that time. I wrote subsequently to the Lowa company directors who just passed it back on to their complaints dept who replied that as far as they were concerned the matter was complete. I won’t be purchasing Lowa again!

so i set out to buy a pair of lowa houston about four weeks ago after a lengthy research hunt for the best boots. naturally looking for the best deal i could find as well.

i found a pair on a german website fe?????.de for an amazingly cheap £70 plus delivery. knowing that lowa is a german brand i assumed it was a main distributor dropping some off the back, so to speak.

none the less i took the time to find lowa.de contact methods (very hard) and sent one or two messages. the messages said that i thought i had found the main distributers website and i basically wanted to know if this was the case. after no reply from lowa i couldn't wait any longer and ordered a paid.

NIGHTMARE - turns out the website was ran by some Chinese people and i had to wait about 12 days for the package to arrive. i only found this out as the contact details of payment verification didnt match the website i bought from. realising that i might have been had, i tried again to email lowa.de to see what their policy on counterfeit goods was.....again nothing from them!

when the boots arrived i was a little shocked. i had asked for brown housten size 8 boots. i received green camel size 6 shoes. granted this wasn't lowa's fault directly. though i felt seriously had as a result of ZERO communications that may have helped me not fall into this trap or waste valuable time.

i accidentally contacted lowa uk via facebook while trying to message lowa germany on facebook. they did pickup the message and noted my very unhappy tone, stating that they would contact lowa germany to see where my communications had gone.

over a week later lowa uk had failed to get back to me. realising this, i thanked them for nothing only to hear back saying that they would contact germany again as that day was a holiday.

another week later and i despise lowa uk and lowa germany. they have had zero time for my situation and "potential customer service" bears no relevance to either of them.

i now have a huge conundrum. lowa undoubtedly make the best boots ever. i've had them for years (military patrol boot) and really appreciate the extremely good build and design.

ironically i still want a pair of lowa houston, mainly because they are probably the best civilian equivalent to the patrol boot that i've so cherished for years. with the idiots at lowa uk and lowa de not giving me the time of day, i've opted to source my boots from a third party uk/germany.

sods law, no one stocks this boot in my size anywhere. i'm starting to wonder if the damn boot actually exists or im just stuck in another dimension.

top and bottom. lowa make the best boots. their customer service does nothing for you. so if you buy a pair and they work, your in luck. but if you need to have a drivel at lowa, dont waste your time, THEY ARE DEAF!

I've never felt so short changed from a company, that i've not even bought from, as i do now.
