Even after the vehicle we wanted fell through, lowdhams got us an alternative one which we preferred. From start to finish even during covid the communication was good and we even got delivery early. Great service

Handover was difficult with COVID but certain things were done really well.
Hitching up good demo was practical. Also the help with the gas and battery and help in putting on the battery. Callum talked us through a lot of what we needed and shared videos before hand on key operational points on the caravan.
Did feel we needed more of an explanation on the control panel despite looking easy its a little more complicated. We did use the video sent when setting up the caravan for the first time.
Was not always clear what came with the van like the steps and electrical hook up but overall a very good service .

Wasn't a good time to be buying a caravan I guess when you couldn't visit or see each other eye to eye but all in all Lowdhams did a fantastic job of making sure we got the sale on the day we requested. One last thing, probably nothing to do.with Lowdhams really, but I reckon a brand new caravan should come with a battery! 😁 I ended up on site without one!

After our 18month old Bailey Pursuit 430/4 was damaged by radiating heat we decided to purchase a brand new Phoenix + 640 and chose Lowdhams of Huddersfield as the supplier. We dealt with Richard McKewan from the initial enquiry right through to payment and then delivery. Throughout the whole process Richard phoned and emailed and kept us fully updated at all times, with even a couple of progress calls on where our van was within the Bailey “build process”
I cannot recommend Lowdhams of Huddersfield or the service we received from Richard enough who also arranged to have our new van delivered to our storage yard.
It’s a 10/10 from us

Our door lock broke and we asked several firms for a replacement with no luck. Muhammad took our details over the phone, was extremely friendly and helpful, and immediately sorted the problem out. The new lock arrived quickly, and was far cheaper then we’d expected. Can’t recommend him enough.

Hi every body I just want to thank you guys and ower sales man Jake sykes for a fantastic holiday for helping us out we orded a new MH in october 19 but covid popped up and we are still waiting on delivery but jake bent over backwards to sort us a loan MH I can not fault the communication between then and us keeping us up to date so it's a big thumbs up from tracey and me massive cheers to jake for his hard work so far employe of the year in my book

Told to delay arrival whilst alarm fitted arrived 12 rather than 10, reversing camera not fitted. Take and bring back or leave.
Left, went to collect. Handover videos sent during visit so couldn’t check or test everything.
Revised paperwork not done as tax class changed and refund not ready, they had 2 weeks to sort.
Now reading paperwork, warranty forms not completed.
Sales guy very helpful, but control and admin procedures very very poor. Sorry didn’t want to believe comments on the internet, but now understand them fully.
Sales people are not administrators, nor fitters.
21/12/2020, still awaiting refund due from them, should have been done when we collected. I hope they enjoy our money at Christmas!
They were told we wouldn’t sign anything else until refund sorted".................... read the email traffic, which On 27th October said just awaiting a director to sign.

I picked the camper up got it home and heating wasn’t working, i had to drive from Leeds to Huddersfield the next morning to fix fault, got on my first site with van to find out the lock for the fresh water didn’t work so my water could have been contaminated! No bracket to put tv on stand! had to tie rap it on! Window coming off the main door into the van! Van got stuck at the site to find out there was no tool box on the van, no toeing iron so waisted half a day trying to get the van off the pitch. When i got the camper home found out the same fault had come back in with the heating! Told by customer service to bring the van back in from Leeds to Huddersfield, the camper was sold and the suppliers are aware there is a problem with the alternator on the gas! Picked the van ip with no mirror in the bathroom, at no time have the suppliers offered any compensation or to pick the van up or send an engineer out to repair it! Just advised i should have phoned roadside assistance! Customer service is a joke! Wouldn’t use this company again!
No checks could have been carried out on this vehicle!

We went to the caravan show earlier in the year but could not find a van we wanted. We contacted Emma at Huddersfield Lowdhams who suggested we went through to see a particular van. The van in question was not what we were looking for but we actually fell in love with it and ordered one. Like many others we had to wait till after lock down and we finally picked up our new Swift caravan today. This is the third caravan we have bought through Emma. She has the patience of a saint and what she doesn't know she will find out. Overall an excellent service.

My wife and I are newbies to Caravanning. Lowdhams in Huddersfield have provided excellent customer service throughout our dealings with them. They took particular care to explain how to prepare our new caravan for towing and gave us step by step instructions for setting and taking down all of the services required when on a campsite. They even sent us 3 videos by email so we had a permanent record for future reference.
Overall we were very pleased and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

We bought our secondhand campervan from Huddersfield Lowdhams and are happy with how it went. But after a shake down weekend away found a few problems which we notified Lowdhams about, but as yet 3 weeks in, we've heard nothing back, these were mostly minor but had a large leak from the toilet roof vent when it rained which is pouring in. I rang Lowdhams again the following week and still heard nothing back . I rang again and left another message and after 3 weeks have still heard nothing from them.

Jake at Huddersfield very helpful, approachable and friendly. Very good product knowledge. A few snagging issues at vehicle handover which were resolved quickly, apart from still awaiting navigation card and replacement cutlery drawer (3 weeks). All staff very helpful. Overall experience excellent and would definitely recommend. Given 4 stars due to outstanding issues, otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Excellent customer service especially from Emma at Huddersfield branch. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was so helpful when we bought our new swift caravan and even phoned us the day after to make sure we had managed to get everything working overnight at a site we stayed at nearby. Would certainly recomend Lowdhams Huddersfield.

Many niggles with sales service and collection, we think mostly down to the sales rep who has now left. Viewed the caravan before collecting and pointed out two issues. Only one was fixed when we arrived, the other was fixed while we waited. The Brand new cycle rack keys were lost so they had to swap the rack over while we waited, instructions also lost and later we find out there is a strap missing. No hitch cover. Rang and sent emails with questions before collection but no response from either. Ended up calling in. Emma is now helping us sort these issues and is a breath of fresh air and can’t do enough for us, even on her day off!

We ordered our Sunlight campervan in March but due to the ensuing lockdown were unable to take delivery until 17 July. However, our order included the optional third bed which Lowdhams had to specifically order from the manufacturer in Germany. Unfortunately, the combination of the lockdown followed by the manufacturer still taking the traditional August break after only reopening in July, meant we finally received our third bed on 13 October. This was after us having to repeatedly contact Lowdhams who in turn had to repeatedly contact the manufacturer. It is our understanding that Lowdhams were not at fault in this so we would like to express our appreciation for the continued efforts of different members of staff, particularly in the parts department, who have assisted us with this and arranged the delivery of the bed by next day courier. We would finally like to say that we really love our new van and look forward to making full use of it (lockdown restrictions permitting).

We were first time motorhome buyers and Lowdhams were recommended for service and aftercare. We were not disappointed. On our initial visit, the sales staff were very friendly, helpful and gave us really good advice, spending time with us even though we were just looking, not at all "pushy". We returned and saw the van for us. We dealt with Rebecca, extremely knowledgeable and efficient. This being our first motorhome we did have a few teething problems with getting started, especially with the boiler. Nothing wrong with the van, more operator error! Rang the service department, who tried to talk us through problem, but when this failed someone came out same-day sorted it. Really impressed.
