do not use this company they will rip you off,got charged £260 for a £30 to £40 gearbox change,total rip off

This company is joke came to my property yesterday as back door lock broke cost me 380 for a lock and bead guy said 195plus vat no call out still on invoice had no standard locks such a con had wrong details when came said would cost more ...

After paying emailed them to query invoice no reply day two I've now spoken to trade and standards as a local locksmith came today who I no and said it should have been 55 for a lock plus vat and labour charge most 100 to 125 this has now been passed trade and standards to look at they have took the case on as the company have conned people out of money

Absolutely terrible company, lost my front door key, was told 59 call out fee plus vat, was told he had to drill to get in, changed the barrel to a tune of £285 Rip off company!!

This company is not a professional locksmiths, they are complete amateurs, I have just had a full set of replacement locks, 4 barrel locks and a mortice lock. I advised them I only wanted the cheapest locks as I am selling the house soon, the operative actually refused to sell me them! He insisted I get the ‘medium’ locks as a minimum, they have actually destroyed one patio door, deformed it so there is a large gap behind the handle, put deep scour marks into the plastic, the handles are now loose, and worst of all they have put a screw in incorrectly so I now have 2cm of screw poking through the door casing!!

The worst part of their illegal sales tactics was to fit all new locks THEN turn around and say ‘oh by the way, I only had the top security locks on my van so I know you wanted the standard £65 a lock types, and we refused and FORCED you to pay for the £85 locks, but actually you owe us £100 per lock’, absolutely disgusting, and illegal! I told him no, and to take them out and i’d get someone else in, then surprise, surprise he immediately backed down.

Tried complaining twice via phone and they just lie to you and say they will text you an email address to complain to. I am reporting this company to trading standards and will take them to a small claims court myself.

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!

Called them out to get entry to my house as I had lost my keys. Quick service, picked the lock in 5 mins. The price of £150 seems extortionate so ring another company if you want a cheaper price

French door lock broke phoned this company as no call out charge quoted over the phone £59 if an easy job bit more if not an easy job which is fair enough. Guy came out very quickly turned out not an easy job put a new mechanism and new lock bolt door fixed what he didn’t tell me what I thought might have been a £100 job or just over turned out the parts he used was well over priced £55 inc vat for a euro cylinder and £130.80 for gearbox (mechanism) not to mention nearly £155 for labour checked these prices online I could have getting both from screwfix for less than £40 they’ve charged £185.80 extortion company I phoned them to complain about price all I got was yeah that price sounds about right I won’t use them again!!!

We called them out and we were quoted £110 and they couldn't get in and they hooked my keys through a window I broke
And another man came up and was very intimated
And charged us £289 and they did nothing
After speaking to other locksmith for the same situation we were robbed

Awful company, they charged £328 to change a Yale lock after our neighbours (both in their 80's) locked themselves out. They lied on the telephone when we booked the call out and and when they arrived they quoted one price but then charged much more.

They claim to be a local locksmith, but they are based in London and just farm out work to a network of locksmiths - they try and hide this fact by producing an invoice with no company address on it,

If you are happy to see vulnerable people in their 80's being ripped off then this is the company to call - otherwise stay away.

Had an emergency tonight and needed a locksmith to let my parents back into their house after they locked themselves out. The technician arrived within 30 minutes and they were back in their home in less than 5mins. Excellent service and friendly technician. Thank you so much.

Called out Locksmith to fix a simple gearbox problem. Ended up being a three days saga. After hammering the door open and closed about 40 times at two o’clock in the morning. He told me the doors where not aligned. This had never been a problem with the previous locksmiths who had sorted the lock in less than an hour..... . The next three days the mechanic was coming back sometimes multiple times during the day. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Constantly on the phone to someone who did I assume. I questioned the price with him and he told me he would look after me it would be fine. I think he meant he would take me to the cleaner. I ended up paying nearly £500 for the privilege of having someone come and hammer the doors of my house for hours and hours a day. It got to the point I just wanted him to leave so I agreed the price and even though the door lock is worse than before (have to pull it up really high and friction in the key to turn the lock). I just payed so he would leave and I could get on with my life. Defo not recommended, unless you like paying hundreds of pounds for someone to make your lock worse

Rip off company, Bill of £375 and did not fix the problem, would not inner warranty as we lifted door off hinges to get to our back garden. No way have we touched any parts of thiers. Absolutely disgusting. Too late was the cry after pricing parts they replaced , totally shocked at how these people can live with themselves.

Absolute rip off. Call out charge was acceptable, but as soon as person arrived, said could not do anything and it would another £125 plus vat to open the door. Total price was £225 for just over an hours labour.

I was charged over £300 for a Yale night lock and instead installed another lock that isn’t Yale. All they had to say “I prefer this lock besides it’s the same mechanism anyway” so I have no idea what I actually paid for. what was worse my mother had a stiff lock instead of using wd40 she was told it was secured and proceeding in changing her lock and charged her £100 for something she didn’t even want avoid them at all costs

By far and away the worst company I have ever had any dealings with. charged my vulnerable mum £240 for a cylinder change (that the door didnt need) and totally removed the plate where the locks engage to on the door frame leaving it totally insecure. The door actually has a faulty gearbox mech which he would have known if he had bothered to take it off. 15 calls over 2 weeks later and still no efforts to return my call or get someone out to rectify. use at your own risk!!

Great help from this guys, James was a great help with my front door lock systems, got everything fitted the same day for sharp prices.

had this lads helping me in an emergency lock out situation, they showed up in 20 minutes , and another 10 minutes to get inside.

Cowboys that had to be told how to open the door rather than smashing it down, had to return after 5 minutes as door wouldn’t lock when shut.
Then a bill for £336 just to open a front door!
I could buy a new door for £800, avoid thes cowboys at all cost.

UPVC front door wouldn’t lock. Rang Ultimate Locksmiths South Shields who sub contracted my job to LS Locksmith who are part of LS Tech Group Gateshead & Newcastle area. Charged £450 for an hour’s work. £59 call out charge. £140 labour charge. £90 to supply and fit a £36 Q-line lock cylinder. £161 to repair the door’s £25 gearbox. Day light robbery.

I Had a locksmith come over to fix my UPVC Door and I was told that I would need to replace all the parts in that door. Something was not right,So I gave LS Locksmiths a call and already on the phone I felt that I was dealing with proffesionals.
I had Allen Come Over to asses the repair needed and He told me that it was gonna be a QUICK FIX!!!
I was Charged at the end 90£ For this service instead replacing parts that I don't need for 250£ !!!!
