Tried to return an item after having used it 4 times over the space of 6 days, and it was refused. I was told that it had a scratch, and indeed, if you squinted your eyes and looked at the item in the right light, there seemed to have been a scratch there. It was so small I couldn't be sure it was me who did it, but of course, how could I tell? Obviously, I didn't bother to check for scratches when I bought it, whereas the person in the shop spent 10 minutes looking at the item with a lantern.

Trying to find a solution, I suggested to do a return for less money and they could sell it refurbished. They said no. I suggested exchanging the item for a much more expensive one (I returned an €350 Electribe because I wanted a €1000 Maschine+), they said no.

I was reminded that I bought several things at Amazon and Thomann and never had an issue with returns. This time I decided to "buy local". Obviously, a big mistake. My recommendation: If you have even the slightest hesitation about what instrument you want to buy, don't buy it here. Or, if you do, remember to:

* Before paying and taking the item from the store, spend 10 minutes with a small lantern (bring one) to make sure there are no visible scratches whatsoever, in any shape or form.
* Use the item with gloves if you can, as even the smallest scratch will make it unreturnable (clip your nails).

Then maybe they will accept a return.

Ludi Music is amazing!
On my recent trip to Portugla, I bought a Baby Taylor from one Ludi location (price was great compared to Canada) and the staff there were friendly, helpful and overall great.

After a couple of days of playing the guitat, I noticed a slight creaking sound coming from where the neck meets the body. I walked into the Ludi location in Lisbon where one of the techs looked over the guitar. After a thorough diagnostic he determined it was a manufacturing defect and replaced the guitar on the spot.

Sine I was leaving to come back home a few days later, I was thrilled that the issue was dealt with quickly and on the spot instead of sending the guitar to Taylor for repair. I'd recommend Ludi to anyone based on my experience.
